I was incredibly shocked and terribly disappointed to have such a miserable Thanksgiving dining experience at Kitchen 1540. I made the mistake of assuming L'Auberge would offer a fine dining experience in its restaurant. Instead, my family discovered a food and beverage experience far inferior. Everything about it was poorly executed, as if the organization is lacking a professional restaurant manager.

The Restaurant made us wait 35 minutes to be seated for our 4pm reservation. We waited again twice as long after ordering to receive our meal. We had to ask for bread and butter to be brought to our table. And, the glass gas lamp center pieces on every table looked like they hadn't been cleaned in a month.

If the food had tasted spectacular, some of these problems would have been tolerable, however the Holiday menu only featured four options that should have been better tasting and more quickly prepared. If the Hotel is as poorly managed as this restaurant, it's future is doomed!

I have been the DJ for many weddings and parties at L'Auberge. The outside deck had a beautiful view and there are a few indoor reception rooms. We have stayed here and always had a great time. The food is amazing!

A VERY SPECIAL thanks to: Alisa Dunn |Director of Front Office Operations!

Mine and my wife's stay (10/21/17 - 10/23/17) was a FIVE STAR experience. We were accommodated by Alissa with perfect hospitality. Once she learned that we would be visiting with our 9 month old, she went above and beyond in reserving us a room that would be suitable for our family. A crib was provided, the room was perfect, and our stay was incredible. We walked to the avenue and shopped, had drinks in the foyer, dined each night, enjoyed the parks within walking distance of the hotel, and strolled the beach twice. Hard for me to think of a more ideal experience. Thanks Alisa!

Very nice hotel with a great location. The staff were very friendly and the place was very clean and 'classic'. Although I didn't actually see the ocean from where I was, you could definitely hear it. Food was good, not great but the ambiance was pretty nice. Can't beat a nice warm evening sitting outdoors with the sound of the ocean.

Came for restaurant week at kitchen 1540. 4 course meal, foccia was excellent reminded me of bread from Copenhagen spongy chewy constancy very nice. Salmon tartar excellent spaghetti squash excellent beef cheeks OK too salty and portion was small apple dessert under whelming. Ambience great, Spanish guitarist and singer was great, outdoor cozy, service mediocre. OK overall but not great.

The facility is quite luxurious and the staff is very attentive here. There is room for every type of guest including meeting rooms for the business types. Excellent reception and a shuttle to take you around town too. Perfect for romantic get aways, since it's close to the beach and has intimate areas, or if your in town to attend a special event such a golf tournament or the Breader's Cup in November.

A bit expensive for such a small spa. Not many amenities, and the locker area was crowded and a bit messy. On the plus side, you get access to the pool!

Super friendly staff. We were not staying in the hotel but just went for dinner and drinks. They allowed us to move tables and umbrellas as the sun set over looking the ocean. Highly recommend.

L'Auberge Del Mar is amazing! The staff is friendly and helpful. The room was perfect with an incredible view of the ocean. Food and drinks were great. The location is ideal, just a short walk to the beach.

I went to the spa and it was a great experience. Crystal at the front desk was amazing and very helpful. I spoke with the manager Leah and she was very nice and knowledgable about the services and products. There is a sauna and stram room in the lockers and the place was very clean and upscale.

This is a fantastic hotel. The staff is friendly and accommodating. I'm here for business. If I was here for family / personal and was looking for a large pool then this isn't the location for you. The walk to beach is less than 3 minutes though.

beautiful property, rooms are okay, views are amazing. Jeff and Sam (line chef/cook) went above and beyond getting our leftover food warmed up. it was so kind the front desk including Grace, we're also great.
