Large property but great breakfast and great location. Staff was always cordial and helpful when approached by myself or any customer from my observation. Overall, I wouldn't hesitate to refer a friend or other colleague/acquaintance to stay in this cozy inn while in the Tallahassee area!
Made a reservation for 1 room with two beds. I got 1 bed. Switched rooms and then when I went to go inside I noticed someone in my room. They literally will book a room with someone already in it
If I could give them zero stars, I would. This hotel has the worst customer service and looks like they need to be taught some skills. My family and I arrived at 4a.m. Exhausted, my mother’s card had been misplaced, but we had paid for the hotel in advance. The girl at the counter was rude and not compassionate, she confused my mom and made it sound like her card had to be present and if it wasn’t she’d have to pay another $60 (120) using someone else’s card. She had an attitude and didn’t explain things clearly, after fighting for 20 minutes we finally got the situation settled and a room after traveling a long time. Second, we woke up in the morning to checkout and it took 10 minutes because no one was at the front desk!!!!!!! There was no bell, no one in the lobby, just empty. All in all, don’t count on this hotel or it’s lazy staff.
The hotel is very accommodating, I accidentally reserved at a different hotel and they gave me a room. Breakfast was good. Our room could've had some updates. But overall everything was good
I was a little hesitant because the star ratings were so low and comments weren’t the best. I will tell you we had an amazing stay here. The room was nice and clean. Lobby was clean. Staff was friendly. Breakfast was hot and fresh. Nice place to stay.
Horrible place, room stank, was dirty, old and the staff was so accustomed to people cancelling they didn't even ask why we wouldn't stay there. The guy in front of us also left after seeing 2 different rooms. Curtains were tore off, beds not made, truly the worst hotel I've ever seen.
Update- the room was reserved over the phone, 2 queen bed room for $149. We didn't stay there (no queen beds on the property) and they gave us a receipt showing we would not be charged. They charged my credit card $189 PLUS 20.99 reservation fee and won't refund the money. TOTAL SCAM, don't waste your money.
We stayed at the Baymont Inn during Hurricane Irma. The rooms were newly renovated, extremely clean & very, very comfortable!!! Christine (front desk) deserves a trophy along with every single member of the Baymont team for superior customer service & truly caring for all of their guest! They all went above and beyond the call of duty to make our stay there as safe & comfortable as humanly possible. They "all" should be recognized and commended!!!
They are under renovation and are making great upgrades. The room my parents stayed in had hardwood style flooring, stone counters and like a slate/stone tub surround. Very clean room and staff was very kind. AC was even on and nice and cool in the room upon arrival.
Room exceeded expectations for $50. I think we had a freshly remodeled room. Room smelled fresh. No carpet, had tile floors in the bedroom and bathroom. Beds were comfortable. Hot water with adequate pressure. Don't turn your key in until you leave because you need it to get to the area where breakfast is during the remodel.
My family and I literally shortened our 5day stay to a 1day stay AT THIS LOCATION !!!HORRIBLE EVERYONE.WE WOKE UP CHECKED OUT, THEN CHECKED IN AT THE BEAUTIFUL ALOFT..They will tell you that the whole motel has been renovated with the nice tile on the wall inside the bathroom and nice flooring; However, forget to mention the bad sticky moisture feeling of the room which by the way can actually cause mold over time and the EXTRA EXTRA HARD MATTRESSES!!! 🛑 I HIGHLY WOULDN'T RECOMMEND THIS MOTEL!
Sincerely,
Mrs.Riddick
P.s I wouldn't give this a starI was forced to choose something in order for my review to post.
I normally would never write a negative review unless I felt it necessary. Realistically things happen and for 60 bucks I did not have high expectations. However, when it comes down to cleanliness my opinion runs high.
My husband and I stopped in at this hotel on the way to the Carolinas. It was almost midnight and we had been driving all day and just needed a place to shower and sleep before hitting the road again in the morning. Needless to say, feeling exhausted we had to climb three flights of stairs to get to our room with luggage at this time of night but we did it with no complaint. Once we entered the room, the fumes of bug spray almost knocked me to my feet. The air temp was on 50 degrees and the room felt like a meat cooler. We thought well its late and too late to complain (just need sleep)! However, when we walked to the bath room to shower We found a filthy tub and only three large bath towels and no facecloths to wash with much less any bath soap. Try showering with a large bath towel and no soap. (I showered with my flip flops on because of the condition of the tub.) It was pretty horrible and tiresome! next it's time to hit the bed only to find no pillowcases on any of the four pillows. Totally Disgusting! Thank God we brought our own pillows with us. The noise in the hotel was unbelievable. My husband and I kept getting up all night to look outside to make sure our car was still there. There were screaming and hollering throughout the night where I thought someone was getting beaten or something worse ! In 34 years, We have never stayed in a hotel like this. This was honestly the worst experience ever. I truly feel that the board of health should close this place down until it is remodeled completely. The staff however, were very polite and apologized to us. Unfortunately, this all happened and no one could explain why there were no towels or pillowcases. In fact, the housekeeping manager was in awe! Of course, we will not be staying at these hotels ever again. #horriblenighthorribleexperiencelessonlearned.
Rooms are newly renovated. Nice and ckean. Beds are comfortable. Check in was a breeze. Friendly staff.
Second time straying as this Baymont. I stayed in one of the newly refurbished rooms and must say it felt roomy and comfortable. The breakfast was nothing to extravagant, but there are waffles and the orange pomegranate drink was refreshingly good. Also, the desk power outlet had an issue and wasn't working. Not a biggie since I carry my own multi charger and was able to find another plug close that did work. The location is still under Renovations but they are good at doing a good job of keeping it quiet and neat.
I wish I would have read the reviews before staying here. I can't believe how awful these rooms were. It was a group of us staying here for two days while visiting family this weekend and all we needed was a place to come sleep at night. But even for this, this hotel was not worth it. Definitely was not worth $75 a night. NEVER again. The room is dirty, carpet ripped off, bathroom has so much mold growing on ceiling, A/C blows hot air, tub looks as it has never been cleaned just horrible. And it was all three of our rooms not just mine. We all were itchy and scratching after showering. It's an understatement to just describe as horrible I have no words. All the other hotels nearby were full for whatever reason so this was one of the lesser evils or so we thought. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone, especially not if you have children, unless you like to sleep in filth. Too bad 1 star is the least I can give. And the check out staff a lady named Will or something like that, rude. The only positive was that check in was fast and that lady was very nice. Other than that RUNNNN!!!!!
