Clean room, comfortable bed, nice staff and a good breakfast. The price was reasonable. The stairsare a little sterp so if you have trouble withbthat ask for a 1st floor room.
It looks good in the online pictures. It is well decorated, but very poorly cleaned. Had to switch rooms and still not good. When we arrived a family was at the front desk before us and when I was back at the front desk to switch rooms later they were there. They had switched rooms 3 times. They said, "they were all dirty, hairs everywhere, stains on the bedding, cup rings on the furniture from the guest before". That was our experience too, but we were too tired to drive on so we stayed. We got little sleep. The walls were so thin that we could clearly hear and feel the couple next door having sex. The headboards shared a wall. More than you want to know about your hotel neighbors.
Skip this place!!
Room was clean and comfortable, bed hard. We had expected a better Brekfast since Baymont inn in the Marriott family. We unfortunately left an expensive personal pillow behind, but they didn't find it.
Stayed this past weekend at this hotel, first room.we checked into was i guess a handicap room, very small room, sheets were dirty, floor was dirty not acceptable. Called from desk was told come back, they put us in another room. Bigger room, phone did not work to call front desk, toliet made loud squealing noise when flushed, no water pressure in shower and the counter where the sink looked to be for short people. Very disappointed with our whole stay there especially for the price we paid, was definitely not worth the money we paid. Was woke up sat morning at 430 am blasting music and then again Sun morning with people being loud outside. Just so dissatisfied I feel as my family wasted money.
Checked in. Went to room and immediately checked out. Sheets on one bed looked crisp and clean. Sheets on other bed were wrinkled and obviously slept in. These are not my cleanliness standards.
Grime in bathroom sink and toilet. Took a clean washcloth, wet it and ran it over the tv table only to come away gray with dirt from the table. No thanks. Money promptly returned. Not the front desk clerks fault I know but Bayfronts housekeeping staff is beyond lazy.
Just got hung up on by the shift supervisor "Kristy!!!!" Unbelievable rudeness!!! These are extraordinary times as folks are trying to evacuate from an impending MASSIVE hurricane and this is the treatment we get. Absolutely pathetic!!!! Zero stars for this hotel!!!!
DO NOT STAY HERE !!! SOMEONE WALKED INTO OUR ROOM AS WE WERE SLEEPING AND SAID THAT FRONT DESK GAVE HIM THIS ROOM KEY?????"?? UNBELIEVABLE AND TV DID NOT WORK TO BOOT.CALLED FRONT DESK 3 TIMES AND WAS ASSURED THAT MAINTENANCE PERSON WOULD BE THERE SOON.THEY WERE PROBABLY IN HAWAII HIDING FROM THIS CARNEY CREW RUNNING THE PLACE.NO APOLOGIES ,ONLY BS FROM STAFF. NIGHTMARE IN LAKE CITY ! FINAL EPISODE.
My husband and myself stayed here for 4 days and I have to say it was very nice. The breakfast was good, clean room, friendly staff. I would give them a 4.5 only because they have limited towels and you have to wait until the afternoon to get more towels. Overall it was a very good experience and we will stay there again.
The staff in the lobby were pleasant. As soon as we walked in we were greeted. We were told where our room was and despite not being able to park in front of our door there was still plenty of parking that still had a short walk to the room. The room was noce, clean, and smelled good. We ate breakfast in the morning and it was good. Nothing wrong was seen by either my boyfriend or myself. 10/10 would recommend and go again.
I just wanted to start this off by saying that I live on the road, and in doing so, my home is the closest hotel for the area that I'm working in. Based off of most of the reviews I have read thus far, I was skeptical about coming here. Maybe I got lucky, but my room was great! I carry a black light to check the beds, and my sheets were clean. No bugs anywhere. Floors were clean. For the price, it was a great experience!
I also end up doing a lot of paperwork late at night, and I always enjoy company. Luckily, the night employee Shawn is a great conversationalist! One of the topics we discussed was management/employees, and I truly do feel that Shawn is management material. I'm looking at you Beaumont.
I'm not trying to kiss ass, but it's people like this that make people like me enjoy my stay. I give credit where credit is due.
The room had awful smell , leaking ceiling in bathroom from the TOILET above the room on the top floor!!!! This motel is definitely not kept up like it used to be stains on sheets nasty , lots of nasty little things that really discussed me, the telephone didn't even work !!! I paid good money I expected a lot better than this , definitely needs a lot of remodeling before I would ever go back!!!! She must have had the same room as me and still has not been fixed
This was copied from my Trip Advisor Review a few years back. We had family from out of state stay here recently and they were not impressed, we warned them of our stay there.
First off, we actually live close by but needed a night away and I had to be somewhere in Lake City early morning.
The front hotel staff were okay, Delilah & Alexandria. I complimented their names, saying what pretty names and somewhat exotic sounding as you don't see those names much anymore. Delilah thanked me and Alexandria was like what do you mean it isn't that unique I have a step-sister and she has the same name as me and if they were not common names why would we both have the same name. Then she goes on saying how her children have unique names as they all end with gyn or yn on their names.
When my husband went back to see about extra pillows as we only had 3 of them for a king size bed and they are the real tiny ones, Alexandria tells him that she is the only one on until 5pm and then the maintenance guy comes in.
So from around 3pm until 5pm she is the only one there?
When he did go back to get the pillows there was no maintenance man yet she was able to leave the counter to get some pillows.
Now on to the rooms!
My husband drove around to park by our room and I walked to it. I walked up stairs and I passed 4-5 HUGE black and/or white bags that looked like trash bags but they actually had linen or bedding in them.
They stayed that way from sometimes Wednesday until Thursday sometime and they may have remained there in the walkway for who knows how long.
Now on the initial walking in the room it seemed okay. We did have to turn on the AC and keep the doors open due to some sort of smell.
Then only con seemed were the shower curtains! Y-U-C-K
They were cloth and either the person(s) who had our room before us put them up on the shower rod or the cleaning person(s) did!
Either way when I shook them down, they were soaked and something was on them. That is completely disgusting. They did not smell but why would they USE cloth shower curtains. The only way to prevent water from splashing all over the bathroom was to use put the curtains inside.
It doesn't matter who put them on the rod and rolled them up, the fact is that no one changed them, they were wet and dirty.
The biggest con was before we checked out. My husband had just came back from seeing what their Continental Breakfast was. He was not too impressed.
We then had someone beating on our door!
It was the BW management, they wanted to check to see what rooms were STILL occupied.
So this is their only way, to knock/beat on the room doors at 9am to see if people were in them.
Would it not be easier for you all to have your hotel staff write down the room numbers as people check out? Instead of going around banging on the doors, thankfully we were up but for people not up if I were them I would be ticked off!
So for visiting family, friends and business associates I would not recommend this place.
Kind of tricky to find unless you know where you're going. Its behind a gas station off the main road. Friendly staff, conveinent access to amenities, spa and pool very clean, laundry facilities. Even a gazebo over a small pond that lights up at night with a water feature. You hear the frogs croakimg at night and see the turtles in the pond too. All in all a very romantic setting.
Not a terrible place to stay.
Carpeting in our room was in need of a major cleaning.
Overall, it needs some maintenance work.
Breakfast was OK.
