This camping area is perfect for a small group gathering. There is plenty of space for tents and 6 campers. The gazebo area has fans and lights and a lot of steel picnic tables. The fire pit is large enough that quite a few people can get around it. We also liked that you have two bathrooms and two showers that were clean and had hot water. We brought the kayaks and the kids enjoyed boating in a private cove as well as fishing. The cover is less than 3 feet deep, so even the little ones could stand up when they tipped the kayak.

We have been coming to the group landing for over two years at least three or four times a year. We love that there are four RV electric/water hookups and room for tents as well. It's very private with your own beach, covered pavilion, two bathrooms and showers with hot water. We've brought our canoe, our jet skis, and even had a friends pontoon boat out there.

My family and i where looking for somewhere out of Jacksonville in the country to spend a great camping vacation. After a little research we came across the ocean Pond Campground. With a great private area for large groups we decided to reserve it. The place is very clean and well-kept with private bathrooms and showers. Very close to the ocean Pond swimming area along with a private Waterside fire pit. The campsite is very private and very relaxing with its own boat ramp as well for those who wish to bring watercraft. This was our first time camping in the national forest and we would love to come back again anytime. Our family has decided to make the group Landing are new family tradition. Such a beautiful spot and area we will come back every year.
