My daughter and I began to see Dr Najeen back in 2014/15 at the Webster office, after leaving a terrible dentist in Greece. I really admired her and her work. I felt she was thorough and professional.
This past August (2020) Dr Najeen wanted to change out an old silver filling and upgrade it to a new filling that would match my tooth color. When the Novocain wore off, I could feel some pain in my tooth. I have had many fillings in my lifetime, and I have never experienced pain after having a filling. I called the office when Michelle, the receptionist, informed me that sometimes pain can occur as the “living” tooth is adjusting to “non living” material and told me to give it a few days. One week after the filling I was still experiencing pain. I called the office and they had me come in to see the dentist. The dentist told me that I needed to put some fluoride on it for a few nights and the pain would go away. After a few days of trying that, I was still in pain and called the office again. I was told to come back to the office. I explained to the dentist that I don’t even have to be eating (biting) anything; just drinking liquid was aggravating the tooth. She blew some air on the tooth and told me that i was in pain because I have recession on my gumlines. This is true, but I have recession on all my gums and only the tooth that she performed the filling on was hurting. She sent me home with more fluoride.
After another week I called to tell her that I was still in pain. I was in pain to the point that nothing was in my mouth and my tooth was throbbing. The office wanted me to come back in (this is now 4 weeks after the original filling was done). I asked to speak to Dr Najeen and asked her “what are you planning on doing this time when I come to the office?” Because I was tired of coming in without any results. This time she told me it was my night guard. I said “ok. So for the next few days I will refrain from wearing my night guard and then come see you”
When I showed up to the office for the third time, I told the dental assistant, “I’m sorry to bust the Dr.’s ego, but she did not do something right when she refilled the cavity”. This time Dr Najeen told me it was my toothpaste and mouth wash and that I needed to use something different.
Two days later I woke up at 1am in the most extreme pain of my life. I was crying the pain was so bad. I called Najeens emergency and requested a call back. I was now in such distress that I had to take myself to emergency. When the ER was not able to give me any oral medication I had to wait until the dentist office opened in the morning. I was in the parking lot at 7:30am. Dr Najeen did not return my voice message until she got into the office. (What is the point of having an emergency line if the Dr. only answers during business hours?) Finally Dr Najeen told me to see the Endodontist for a root canal. This was 5 weeks of me calling and coming to the office to tell her I was in pain and something was wrong. She never wanted to admit that she had made a mistake (I’m sure she did not mean to inflict pain upon my tooth), however she never listened to me when I told her something was wrong and she continued to make excuses, instead of owning her mistake and getting me the proper care I needed. There was no reason for me to have to wait until I was in distress the way I was for her to advance me to the next person who could help me.
I am very disappointed that she did not listen to what I was telling her and that she did not want to take responsibility. After having the root canal, I called her office to schedule the cap to be placed on my tooth. Michele schedule the appointment, then called me back to say she was cancelling the appointment and to call back in a month!
That’s ok, I got the hint, they do not want me as their patient and I will be going to someone else.
Very disappointed in the latest care that I have received.
I absolutely love this place! Everytime I go here all of the staff is very friendly and welcoming and make me feel at home! My teeth are always sparkling clean when I leave. I always have a great experience at Bayfront Dental! Thanks again
The office was clean and friendly. Dr. Najeem was patient and even cleaned my teeth because her hygienist was out. I highly recommend this dentist office.
I’ve always had extreme dental anxiety and my first visit here they told me I needed a root canal. Dr Najeem made the whole experience quick and 100% painless. Would definitely recommend. The whole team here is wonderful!
I hated going to the dentist all my life. I would always be in so much pain getting anything done to my teeth. BUT I decided to go here and let me tell you I have had the best experience ever. The Dr. is the greatest I’ve ever had! She is very kind. She always lets me know what she is doing before she does it. The staff are very caring, kind, and very clean! I would recommend for anyone is who looking for something new or even the first time.
Yesterday was my first visit to this dentist but I have been taking my kids to them for a while now they are polite and very detailed they explained everything to me that needed to be done in detail, they have clean offices and exam rooms everything is neat and orderly by far one of the best experiences I have had with a dentist office. The staff arevery kind and always smiling.
Today was my first visit at this Dentist office and I have to say it's been the best dentist experience I've ever had. I will recommend this place to anyone , Julie was great and was very helpful and took her time explaining every detail. And her dental assistant Maryann was also great and last but not least Michelle who's at the front desk was very friendly and helpful.
The office is clean, thats the only positive that I have about this place. The staff and dentist are rude. The dentist tries to provide parenting advice. If i wanted that than I wouldn't of gone to the dentist. The hygenist was snappy and rude with my 5 year old son. They always tell you that you need something done when you don't. I couldn't wait to get out of there.
Julie the office manager and the staff are the best both my daughters go there. now my parents, brother and his kids go there also.. Julie work at my old dentists office and i witched to bay-front because of Julie
would highly recommend them to anyonekeep up the good work also a A nice waiting room atmosphere. Great Family care. they all go above and beyond
Dr. Najeem and the hygienists here are wonderful.. Even the office staff are always cheerful and pleasant. The office and exam room are super clean, high tech, and comfortable. My boys, ages six and almost three, actually enjoy the dentist even after the older one had to have 2 of his baby teeth removed due to a condition called "shark teeth"!! Dr. Najeem is very gentle and when I had to have a cavity filled she positioned her hands in a manner that I couldn't even see the needle or anything. I would absolutely recommend her and her practice to anyone ever. Thanks bayfront for taking care of our teeth!!
DO NOT TAKE YOUR CHILD HERE (Greece office) IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO BE ALLOWED TO GO INTO THE EXAMINATION ROOM WITH YOUR 8 YEAR OLD CHILD!!!! THEY DO NOT ALLOW IT STATING THEY WANT TO BUILD "TRUST" WITH THE CHILD. ARE THEY OUT OF THEIR MINDS?? How about building TRUST with the parent!!! The office manager, Julie, in the 'business' for 32 years basically told me to take my child elsewhere if i didn't like their practice. I have FOUR children and multiple dentists thru the years, including orthodontists, pediatric dental surgeons and pediatric dentists and NEVER ONCE was I told i could not accompany one my children into the exam room. This place (and procedures) is CRAZY in this day and age. What are they hiding by not allowing parents in room?? And they took bitewing xrays 6 months ago and again at this 6 month appointment without my permission because again I WAS NOT ALLOWED IN THE ROOM. This place accepts medicaid and makes me wonder if that is why their have their "practices" setup this way.
Love this place always friendly and understand
During my visits to Bayfront Dental, I came in first as a scared patient, full of fear and anxiety. Dr. Najeem recognized what I was going through and she worked patiently with me to make sure that each of my office experience was successful. Even with her outside recommendation to other office. She explained to dentist and staff to ensure my success. I have never had to wait in waiting room no longer than 5 to 10 mins on any given appointment day. Her staff is impeccable her facility is clean, relaxing and I would recommend to anyone old and new that are looking for good dental treatment. Because of her, my smile is what is much more confident!!! :). She is friendly awesone, efficient and professional..
I have been seeing Dr. Najeem for years. She has taken great care of me and my family. Her staff are always friendly and helpful. I have recommended many friends to her and they have all had great experiences. As for her waiting room being kid friendly, she had 2 big screen TV's put in and the waiting room is large and easy for kids to play in. The waiting time is not exceptionally long in my opinion and my children have never complained. If you're looking for a dentist who cares deeply about her patients and will do everything she can to help you and your family with you dental needs then this is the place to go.
We love this dentist and the hygienists. They have relocated to Greece, which works for us. The new office waiting area is clean and welcoming, and the new staff is very professional and respectful toward all patients, young and old. They treat us and our children great and have given us referrals to orthodontists where our son got his braces with very good results.
We highly recommend this office and the doctor - their focus is on continuous improvements to offer best service to all their patients.
Thank you,
Kay and Tim
