The following review is based on too many years suffering and also from caring for my own family members who suffered traumatic injuries.
Physical Therapy Specialists in Centennial is a one-of-a-kind specialized PT practice carefully staffed with Gifted Earth Angels: Deep Expertise, Healing Hands & Caring Hearts.
I am having trouble writing this review because I could have written parts of all previous reviews so read them and believe them: I would give 100 stars if I could.
Yes, they do PT for classic problems and have a wholistic approach to treatment.
The following focuses on pelvic and/or colo rectal pain for men and women.
I am writing this "out loud" to help others who are suffering deeply.
These are embarrassing and difficult problems to discuss.
Dawn, the founder, is a genius who has established a unique, discreet PT clinic for suffering souls, young and old, who need special care in a special place.
You can't do therapies like these in typical, open, crowded, zoo-like atmospheres of most PT offices or hospital settings.
(Well you can, I have, and its awful.)
This beautiful, clean, warm, welcoming office with private rooms allows for the highest quality of care and demonstrates an understanding that pelvic/colo rectal pain or other specialized, very sensitive therapies require a special setting.
In addition, this is the most competent, professional medical office I have experienced in 3 states, many on the renowned west coast.
It has everything to do with the highly intelligent, sensitive Ann Marie, the Office Manager; she is phenomenal, and will do everything she can to help/guide you with administrative issues, appointments, insurance, superbills, etc.
My superbills are crafted flawlessly for getting reimbursed out-of-network. They make all this so easy for you, a burden lifted. They get it.
Her role and support to the rest of the talented staff cannot be overstated. Angela is her great staff assistant, like I said an office of Angels.
Kristin, my 😇! I tear up just thinking about this precocious, gifted young woman whose mastery of the PT arts, understanding of patients' needs, and enlightened presence is far beyond her years and whose genuine well of love, kindness, and compassion seems bottomless.
Go look at her picture on the website!
Do you see that light radiating from her being?!
That's exactly who she is and more and to say I am grateful for her assistance is inadequate.
She is my favorite and as another reviewer said makes you feel that you are her Favorite Patient too. 😊
BTW This practice is well connected to local doctors like the brilliant, compassionate Dr. Nel Gerig and the exceptional surgeon Dr. Strutt who has a bedside manner like Dr. Green on the Michael Crichton series ERloland others you might need for your issues. Both these offices are extremely well run too.
Do yourself a favortry out what its like to receive medical care without the insurance company between you and the caring provider.

Knowledgeable and experienced, I can't say ENOUGH wonderful things about Physical Therapy Specialists (and Kristin Anderson specifically). Four weeks ago, I couldn't close my mouth (TMJ issues). Today, I am able to open my mouth to a normal distance. I'm just BLOWN AWAY at how much progress I have made in such a short amount of time - all because Kristin is the BEST of the BEST!!!
Great attention and service. Really helped with my problem.
This place is great!! Everyone is great to work with! I see Mara and Chelsea regularly and they are both personable and great at their job.
Finally found a PT office with medical professionals who are not only experts in their field, but also experts in connecting with patients. Highly recommend both Mara and Kristin! They make you feel at ease and are highly skilled.
I cannot say enough wonderful things about the service we have received at PT Specialists. My wife has had pelvic pain and other issues associated with it for years. Dawn Sandalcidi was the first PT who had any idea how to treat her specific situation. Others tried varied other exercises, etc., but Dawn Sandalcidi had experience and clear insight on how to treat her. Thank you!
If you have rectal pain and have found no one to relieve your suffering, I strongly recommend that you contact PT Specialists and see therapist Dawn Sandalcidi, PT, RCMT, BCIA-PMDB as soon as possible. She will not only perform effective treatments, but will give you the tools to work on the problem yourself at home, so you’re working as a team. I suffered for 9 months until a colo-rectal surgeon referred me to Dawn. I had a tailbone injury from a fall in 2007, and evidently, injections for hemorrhoid surgery 9 months ago set me up for 24/7 pain unlike any I had ever experienced. Sitting was excruciating, pain meds didn’t help much, and I was becoming depressed, unable to perform normal activities, and withdrawing from my friends and family. When I sat, it felt like I was sitting on a golf ball, so I avoided sitting. I also was in such pain I could not sleep on my back. We nearly postponed an RV vacation because of the pain, but fortunately, I was able to get in to see Dawn, then I left for a 3-week vacation. Dawn showed me a model of the rectal floor muscles – I didn’t know there were so many – and did an evaluation to determine which muscles were involved and where. Those of you who are in agony with rectal floor pain won’t mind my graphic description, I hope, because the results were beyond my expectations. Dawn works on the muscles internally, vaginally and rectally, and did something called needling. She found the trigger points all right! She also gave me an easy exercise to do every day and suggested I purchase a coccyx cushion, which is a cushion you sit on, and there is an empty space where your tailbone is so there’s no pressure there. Wish I’d known about that 9 months ago because it’s great. I paid $25 for it at You Can Toucan in Denver. Dawn saved our vacation and me from being miserable. I was sore for a few days, and then began noticing a lessening of pain to the point that I wasn’t aware of it constantly. Just the one treatment worked wonders. I went back today for a 2nd treatment – painful, but I’m sure it will be effective. Dawn is professional, knowledgeable, skillful, and it’s evident she cares about her patients, most of whom have the same problem I do. She is a specialist in an area about which most other doctors and therapists know nothing. I am very grateful for what she has done for me, and I recommend her to you or anyone with pain in the rectal floor muscles. Another asset – Dawn feels that 6-8 treatments may be enough for me to resolve my problem. I’m sure it varies with each individual. Good luck and take heart – help IS available! – S.B., Parker, Colorado
