This was a delightful way to spend our time in San Diego --
    1) The hotel staff was outstanding. Seriously. Outstanding. I could not have more accolades for how accommodating and nice everyone was through our 8 days there.
    2) The hotel is outside the city. It just is. Don't expect to be able to easily walk downtown or anything and you won't be disappointed. There are several good restaurants within walking distance (0.5 miles) but this hotel is on Shelter Island and the name isn't a deception. This place is very close to the city while still being slightly "sheltered" from it. =)
    3) The marina is beautiful, and great views of the bay. Water on both sides is great. Take a walk down the island, you won't regret it!
    4) Great pool/hot tub facilities. If I had ANY complaints, it was that the hot tub was super sandy -- clearly the fault of the guests and not the hotel. Don't people know to shower before & after hot tubs? No, people are selfish, but not the hotel's fault.
    5) CLEAN. SO CLEAN. The hotel floors, the restaurant, the bathrooms -- all just super clean. Again a credit to the fantastic staff.

    Overall -- an awesome stay.

Friendly staff eager to make stay more comfortable. Large, spotless room with great view. Decent on-site restaurant, kind of pricey. Has a van to take guests to city, $10 each way. Heated outdoor pool and hot tub. Complimentary wifi connection is spotty at times, but good enough.

Clean rooms. The staff are very nice. They attend to my request very well. The bar and pool were awesome. Nice place for small group. I liked the quietness and the view on the bay.

Had dinner here with our family. Decent food to affordable prices. Great place if you want to listen to a Humphrey's live concert for free when eating a dinner outside.

The building is older but the room is comfortable and spacious. Every member of the staff we've encountered has gone out of their way to make us feel welcome. We arrived early and asked if they could store our bags, but the room was ready so they checked us in almost six hours before the standard check in time. We had a decent breakfast at the hotel restaurant, which has a great view of the marina, and the spicy bloody Mary's were strong and tasty.

There's a convenient little store in the lobby for necessities, a tiny business area that we used to print a few documents, a small but nice pool and hot tub overlooking the marina, and a really well-appointed fitness room.

As we were standing by the front entrance about to call for a car to take us to lunch in town an extremely pleasant gentleman named Christopher offered to drive us to a nearby restaurant in the hotel shuttle. The Bay Club has a clean, new-ish minivan shuttle that runs from 5 AM until 10 or 11 at night, and they'll take or pick up guests as needed anywhere within about a two mile radius of Shelter Island. On the way to the restaurant Christopher was an excellent guide and gave us the lowdown on good local bars, restaurants and shops.

We stayed at the Bay Club for four nights and we couldn't be more pleased by their hospitality. I would absolutely book with them again!

Very nice area on Shelter Island. Half the rooms have lovely views of the marina. Rooms were clean, adequately appointed, though live music entertainment from Humphreys next door can easily be heard on the patios. That can be a plus or minus depending on your taste in music. The hotel restaurant was nice. Food was tasty, prices reasonable. Service was acceptable. Room prices were on par with the quality of the room. We'll be returning soon.

After checking in, I went to my room, opened the door, and saw someone else's bag inside and the bed wasn't made. Clearly someone else was given that room. Luckily that person wasn't in the room. The room that they switched me to was pretty nice, though, but nearly impossible to get a luggage cart into/out of. The dinner was pretty good, but breakfast was way overpriced. The staff was friendly and helpful, which made up for most of the negatives.

I was there for a social event at the pool. It was a great experience. There was live music, and a open bar. The pool was cool and refreshing. I purchased a few non alcoholic drinks at the bar and the bartender was very sociable and nice. It was a great day. My only complaint I have is the Jacuzzi was too hot. Other than that it was a great experience.

The Hotel itself is very clean, with a great view of the water (I sat on the balcony and watched the sunrise this morning). The staff has been nothing but friendly, and welcoming. The food at the restaurant was amazing, and the bar tender sure can make some mean drinks (one of the top three Moscow Mules I've ever had). 10/10 would stay again.

This hotel had atmosphere that's for sure. I loved stepping out onto the balcony at the marina and watching the town appear in the mist. The room was spacious and clean. I just couldn't get enough of the view day or night. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Would have given it a five but I was surprised to get a 10 dollar a day parking fee. Come onlet's build this into the price of the room. Will go back.

An amazing themed design which exactly matches with the location. Very much liked materials, it is constructed by they are entirely natural and processed with the modern methods which results such an outstanding luxurity. Cleaning service is daily and just studious. One of the most comfortable beds that had to lie.

I would highly recommend the The Bay Club hotel in San Diego. We just returned from our trip there and already want to go back. The entire property was very fresh and clean. The ladies at the front desk could not be more friendly or helpful. Brian, at the hotel bar, was our hero all weekend and the hotel restaurant's food was delicious. Our room was very clean and had a great feel with the decorations and layout. Our room had a great view of the water and beach and it was amazing to wake up every morning to the that. The bedding and pillows made it very hard to get up in the morning, they were so comfortable! The hotel is on an island that really completes the waterfront feel. All the boats in the harbor and restaurants in the area made me feel like I was a world away. Couldn't say a bad thing about our experience and look forward to returning at some point.

The restaurant / bar was nice and overlooked a marina. The free nacho chips they had out for Happy Hour were pretty tasty. Our waitress was nice and attentive. We ended up ordering pork nachos since the apps were half off. They were decent, nothing to blow your mind, but kept me sated. $1 off beer not the hugest deal tho.
