No hot water.
Terrible internet connection.
When I asked the front desk about the internet after midnight:
Me: I wonder if there is a technician available?
Front desk: No but you can go across the street and see if anyone is there (1 am).
Me: Well, can I make a complaint about it?
Front desk: You already complained to me and it didn’t work.
Room was spacious and clean. Really liked the size of bathroom which was quite big than the contempories. Amazing location. Just a minute away from beach. Overall, had a pleasant stay
The place was OK! Water was a bit cold, WiFi didn’t work. But the location, price and staff were good. You can take towels for the beach, get a discount at the subway in the lobby and also refill your own cup with coffee or some soda. We had a lot of stuff laying around the room and put a do not disturb sign so nobody would come clean it and they respected that.
This Art Deco Hotel is ok! Staff is very friendly and helpful. Beds are good. Rooms are ok. The water (shower) is good. Make sure your safe is working in the room, ours did not work and they could not fix it!
Elevators are a bit slow, get used to waiting! Relaxyou are in Miami now!
Hotel is getting a renovation so it should look much better when completed.
Location is good, especially connecting to the airport. There is a direct bus from Miami international airport ( bus 150 from airport station ) and then it's 3 stops. When you see Walgreens ( right side ) get off after the bridge.
There is free trolley buses ( the stop is around the corner to go to south beach, and drop off is in front of the hotel one block away, air-conditioned - so it's cold ) going from mid beach to Lincoln Road ( USAs longest and most busiest shopping Street!! ). Then just down the block to the south, you are at the beginning of Ocean drive and you can walk down the strip to enjoy the sights and sounds of Art Deco!!!
The beach is only a 1 minute walk from the hotel, and very nice! Walk a bit south on the beach, 6-8 mins, is a very nice spot!! The hotel provides free beach towels!
Subway food is in the hotel with some offers. Down the street at 49th Street is Primo cafe and Market ( good sandwiches and pastries Cuban style! ) At times it can be busy!
For more selection of food, drinks, alcohol and groceries at reasonable prices, I really recommend Trinton supermarket at 27th street!!
Make sure to check out downtown Miami, as you can use the free Metromover to explore the cool downtown buildings with a great view from above!! Enjoy!!
I stayed in that hotel in May '17 and I was very satisfied with that visit. Room was clean. All staff was friendly and very helpful. Hotels location is great and provides good base to explore Miami Beach.
Nice, clean hotel to lay your head after traveling. It didn't have the best list of amenities, but what was there was OK. There is a Subway sandwich shop in the lobby, so if you like their sandwiches, you don't have to go far. Spend your time out running around the beach, grab some dinner then come here for bed.
The price is the best thing! Wheelhair accessible with lobby from art deco times. Subway sandwich shop inside hotel literally across the street from the beach. No pool 😔
This hotel only gets 1 star only because of the subway that is in the lobby. The people here are rude, the rooms are crappy, the elevator is slow. I even had a lady that walked into my room without knocking to take my remote to the TV.
I had to check out earlier due to changes in schedule and the man at the front said it was no problem and to call in the morning and i would get a refund for the day I wasn't going to stay.
I called everyday and left messages for week with no response, to finally get someone on the phone to tell me that they can't refund me my money because I got the hotel at a 40% discount which i didn't know due to me walking in and asking for a room. Mind you they made me pay upfront of total cost. NEVER AGAIN I don't care how much of a deal your getting.
Nice hotel in a part of South beach that isn't loud or crowded. Reasonable prices, nice staff, and clean rooms. Rooms may be small and hotel is a bit old but for price in south beach you can't get any better if on a budget. Good hotel
The customer service wasn't good. I made reservations months in advance for a specific room and got there and got a different one. I went down and was told they didn't have any other rooms available. I didn't appreciate their attitudes..even in the Subway.
The location is excellentjust off of 41st street on Collins and across the street from the beach. Wi-Fi had issues as did the elevator. There's a smell some will like and others won't. Parking is not available so street parking when you find it and paying by the meters. Room has small refrigerator and iron with board. Water pressure terrible for the shower. Service is pretty good. Rooms very clean.
Friendly staff. Decent size rooms. The hotel is a bit far from the main strip of the beach but there is a quiet part of the beach is a few minutes walk away. Parking is also 3 block away for $8 for 24 hours
Nice hotel just off the beach. We had the other nights in a hotel right on the beach and this is much nicer not having to go through all the beach things going in and out the hotel, the hotel includes subway, which, while not really exciting a restaurant, is actually much better than the ripoff-places on the beach-side hotels. It's still a bit pricey for a basic hotel room but again, not as bad as on the beach-front so highly recommendable.
