This hotel is so out of date. The windows are not sealed shut and the wind that is always blowing in Erie is howling the entire night through. Not to mention that we had a fire scare and was not notified by anyone of the scare- not even the fire alarms when the hallway was filled with smoke. The elevators do not work properly. Oh and the continental breakfast consisted of boxed cereal and store bought mini muffins. I would not stay here even if someone paid me to.

The Tea for Two was wonderful and the setup was beautiful!!! We had a great time! If your looking for a nice place to hang with your girlfriends or just for mother & daughter time, I'd highly recommend coming here.

It's a clean and freeimdly atmosphere. The servers were timely and remembered our names. Food and drinks were awesome and made well. There really isn't much of a view but great staff.

One night stay. Price was reasonable. Made accommodations for four but there was only a queen size bed and a twin pull out couch. Asked staff for a cot and they immediately brought one up. Staff was very accommodating.

Stopped by Boleros (?) for quick drinks; Was mostly empty but well put together. Drinks are priced how you'd expect at a hotel but service was prompt and friendly. I'd stop again.

Had an underground parking garage. Beds were comfy. I think they may be getting ready to remodel our room because painting was done and there were a lot of splatters on the carpet and switch covers had paint on them. But it didn't bother us. Did miss having a refrigerator in the room.

Place is outdated looking, sheets were dirt had to request new ones. They offer a true continental breakfast that was not very desirable. The parking doesn't feel very safe and they don't have enough parking to accommodate their guest. On the plus side there was no bed bugs.

It's a decent place for the price and every good bar is in walking distance

Located right in downtown Erie, which was perfect for our needs. Close to restaurants and Perry Square. Rooms were clean and spacious, but need updating. Bed was comfortable and warm. Our friends in another room were missing toiletries, however. Breakfast provided was minimal--bagels, cereal, coffee, etc. Service was good, but not exemplary.

Had lunch at the spanish restaurant attached to the Avalon. Food was pretty decent but my sandwich bread was a little soggy by the time I got it. Waitresses and establishment were nice though.

I just stayed two nights at the Avalon. The only good thing I can say is that the rooms are a good size. I had two rooms that where besides each other and a door between so it was good for the kids. But thats the only good thing I could say about it. Didn't have hot water in the sink and the second morning we didn't have hot wat to the shower ( thank god for the other room). The little mouthwash that the hotel provides was used ( not by my family). No fridge and with three kids one being 17 months we could of used one. The only reason we didn't cancel or leave was due to the cancellation fee. Plus the room could of been a little cleaner. My baby was walking around and his feet got dirty just from the carpet so it was socks for the rest of the weekend. So my family and I will never stay there again.

We had a function recently in the large ballroom in the back of the Avalon. Service was excellent and the food was delicious. The bar tender for our event was very friendly and personable, but drinks were cheaper at the hotel bar, a few hundred feet away. Seemed silly to bother with drinks at our own function. The staff also said that the building was undergoing renovations, but it looked like the ceiling was collapsing in some places. We've been there before and I'm sure we'll go again, but I'm going for a little better of an experience in the future!
