Could use some updating and repairs but it met my family's needs for our splash lagoon trip. Breakfast was well stocked and kids loved the waffle machine. Price is up there but we needed the three beds for a family of six.
Just stayed there with family on 3/14/18 on a 3 day trip to splash lagoon. Every time I was in the lobby there was someone there complaining about something. Smelly room bad room service nasty staff bed bugs in multiple rooms. We were in room 105 and our bathroom had an Ant infestation. Also after my brother and I was returning from the casino at about 1am the guy at the front desk had a sign out stating that the 24hr business center and lobby was closed. When asking him if we could go sit by the fireplace for an hr he told us that they had to get breakfast ready at 5 and start the coffee at 4:30. And this was at 1 am he was telling us this. Complete joke he was. Hotel is run down big time and when talking with the front desk the next night he was telling us they have had a lot of staff come and go and can’t ever keep workers there. He let us in the lobby and 24hr business center all night without a problem.
The room was nice and spacious. Breakfast had a good selection. It was also very convienent for going to the Water park with indoor connections. We would definitely come back again.
DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL!! POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!!
Extremely bad experience the kitchenette had dirty dishes in the dishwasher. I had to wash dishes in order to use them. The hotel also charged my card an additional $500 on top of the already high daily charge, when I called and asked about it the front desk told me he did not even see that charge. Finally after calling different people on the various shifts, I was finally able to reach a front desk manager, who rudely told me it was a smoking fee charge of $250 but did not give a reason why I was charged the additional $250. I explained to them that I did not smoke in the room, but he would NOT even try to hear me out. After thinking about it I did have a "housekeeper" knock on the door as I was leaving but she was not in a uniform or have any identifying badge. She was wearing a pink jacket and had her big pink purse stating she was housekeeping. Without questioning her, I continued to leave since I was checking out. I'm unsure why she would not be in uniform. Unfortunately, that lapse in judgement ended up costing me the $227 daily charge and an additonal $497. I guess I have to pay for their "employees" to use the room as the smoking room. I still have not been able to speak to anyone that would explain these charges to me. Poor customer service!!!! I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL TO ANYONE!!!
Room was very dirty. No toilet paper in bathroom. Piss on toilet seat, hair in tub. Bedroom door lock does not work. Bathroom door does not close properly, fireplace does not work. The coffee maker was cracked. Clipped nails on bed. Asked to speak to a manager and was told they are busy on a call and to come back in the morning. We visit splash lagoon at least once a year. Avoid this hotel at all cost. I will never stay here again even if it was free.
My husband and I brought our 2 grandchildren for an overnight stay on 10/14/17. Loved Splash lagoon and hotel seemed great unfortunately there was a major issue my husband had surgery the day before we arrived and I had competed chemo therapy a couple weeks prior we went to the hotel pool around 8pm came down on elevator and about half hour later when we tried to go back to our room elevator was malfunctioning doors would open and close but nothing else. We went to the front desk to ask if there was an issue and the person at the desk said oh it happens all the time you will have to use the stairs this was difficult for both my husband and I with heath issue since we were on the 3rd floor there also did not appear to be any signs show the way to the stair well. I did not book a hotel stay expecting to not have access to an elevator luckily we were able to make back to our room. Not sure I would book this hotel again.
We liked this hotel. It has a very nice hot tub and pool. Very clean. It is attached to splash lagoon which is why we booked. We spent more time in the hotel pool and hot tub because it was clean and warmer water. (Splash lagoon is dirty and cold water) I do think it was a bit over-priced, but the connection to splash lagoon was convenient. I do think this was the nicest of the 3 connected hotels. I would give it 5 stars, except I feel it was a bit too expensive. The room itself was great and the bed very roomy and comfy.
Room was perfect. Clean. Jacuzzi tub was relaxing. My 3 dogs were allowed to stay to. I highly recommend this hotel.
Nice room, pleasant and accommodating staff. Originally were given a pet friendly room but, we have no pets and daughter is allergic. Upgraded us to a 2 bedroom suite and were very kind throughout. Connected to waterpark for easy access. Would definitely stay again.
Edit: Breakfast there was wonderful! You can make your own waffles! Woo!
Check in at four sharp, front desk very friendly! Get cart and bring up stuff. Walk into room and as four college people coming from middle to low class families had no idea what our whirlpool suite would be like. Boy. Worth it. Kitchen with full fridge that is really nice. I'm very sensitive to water being irony or chlorinated, but it tastes great from the tap, seriously, just as good as Smart Water! Ice machine on second floor so I'm guessing they have it on third as well. Living room was beautiful and very clean, with a massive flat screen and fire place! Our suite had one single bedroom and another bedroom with two beds both with nice sized flat screens and their own bathrooms. Also the couch pulls out! The bathrooms where nice, everything was clean and the beds were very pillowy, only three pillows on each bed, wish they would give four but I had some with me because I figured we would need them. All the staff I've met have been very patient and had knowledge of splash lagoon more so then I would have ever asked for, seeing as they don't work there. The hotel has it's own pool and hot tub which is nice! The sauna is small but cool for what it is. The views are lacking. It feels really unfortunate that this hotel is hooked to splash lagoon, It's a very, very small water park, Fun for a day and that's it. The hotel was more fun, honestly. If you come to Erie for a trip I would stay here. I'd love to stay here again just for the hotel and staff. The only thing I found that made me kinda cringe was the hair dryer was kinda dusty/hairy in the in takes for air. Nothing a wipe with a paper towel can't handle but still, that was kinda gross. Clean and modern looking other than that. Felt like an apartment, really nice. Can't stress enough that the hotel made the trip for me instead of the park. Wish they built a little out of town so they could expand Splash Lagoon and the hotels. But really nice stay.
The hotel was nice. The staff was fairly friendly. The connection to the water park was nice. I didn't see the breakfast, but I heard it was different.
For the price of this room you would think the bed wouldn't feel like a rock. The handyman/driver is super sweet. I gotba frozen meal since I got in so late, uh Freezer burn
The room seems clean though. Maybe the desk clerk is nicer during the day? I have three nights here, so I will update.
As usual the place was clean. The staff was very good to us. Amanda and the head of operations always treat us as family. They always make sure we get the right rate. The pool inside of the residence inn was spotless!! The interconnecting hallway to Splash Lagoon was clean. In the morning the breakfast was very delightful. The breakfast area was also spotless. the breakfast staff were very helpful. I usually don,t give reviews but however, this time I could not resist! Thank You Terri, Brian, Nadine.
