BE VERY careful when booking at Marriott. They told me at the time of booking we had for sure a connecting rooms. When I arrived the staff could not have been ruder and offered nothing for their mistake. We have a 2 year old and would not have booked a hotel with them if during the registration process they told me mt connecting rooms was a "request". The front desk did nothing, I finally asked for a discount and got a very small one. I will not be returning to a Marriott any time soon. Plenty of better options nearby.

I have to start out by saying, Courtney King is amazing and we LOVED working with her. She is the only reason this review is getting more than one star. Everyone else we came in contact with was absolutely dreadful. We had our wedding block here for our guests and regretted it.
My dad and I came in on Thursday morning, November 2nd, to drop the hotel bags that we were leaving in our guests' rooms. When we walked in we noticed there were renovations taking up the entire lobby bar. This wouldn't have been an issue if we had been informed, but walking into that chaos the day our guests were arriving made us really worried. One of the main reasons we chose this hotel was because we knew our guests would enjoy the bar. When we addressed it with the Manager, he honestly could not have cared less. I hate that I'm forgetting his name right now because we believe he deserves some accountability. We are not hard customers to please, but we felt like this was common sense to inform the guests that the whole bar and lounge area was out of service. When we asked the manager about when it was going to be finished, he said "I dunno. But we have this area back here as a bar instead." (It was a back room with a fold out table as the bar). Listen, we understand that the progress of the renovations is not in this manager's control but he could have been a little bit more apologetic about it! He treated us like it was "no big deal" and made us feel dumb for even asking about it.
The people at the front desk were even worse. When they saw the interaction between my dad and the Manager, I glanced over and saw them pointing and laughing. It took all I had not to say something. Let me also say that my dad and I both have been in and out of the customer service industry for YEARS, so I don't want to appear like an entitled customer, but we know what quality customer service looks like, and this was not it.
Finally, we got to talk to Courtney. She is a delight. She took us up to see what a room looked like and even made it happen to close the concierge lounge for all other guests except mine for the weekend. (The front desk did not allow that access to all our of cards, though all of my guests had to go downstairs and get it added on which was embarrassing.) Courtney was the best person we came in contact with the entire process, so Courtney, if you're reading this, thank you for being the only reason we didn't pay out of our contract and go somewhere else.
It is sad to say that our visit to the hotel was not my first interaction with poor service at this hotel. A few months before the wedding, I had booked two rooms for my bridesmaids for Friday night after the rehearsal dinner. When I called around August to check and see if I could request the rooms be close together (I understand now you have to wait until your reservation is closer, that was not my issue) the woman I talked to was so hateful and told me I only had one room booked, and when I told her I had the confirmation number and asked if she could look further into it, she said "I don't know what to tell you." !!!!!!! I finally hung up and called back in hopes to get someone else on the phone, which thankfully I did and she was able to solve the issue and confidently tell me I did indeed have two rooms booked. It was however with her that I did ask if I could go ahead and pay for the rooms, as I knew I would have a lot of expenses coming up as the wedding approached. She told me yes, and I went ahead and paid for both rooms. When me and my bridesmaids showed up on November 3rd to check in, I was informed that there was no payment on file for my rooms. Furious is an understatement. I had no choice but to pay for the rooms again, even after I showed her my bank statement where it had already come out of my account. I got no apologies for the miscommunication or ANYTHING.
Let me also add, my dad is a rewards member at Marriott and never stays at any other hotel no matter where he goes, and he travels a lot. We just expected more and we didn't get it, bottom line.

The Alpharetta Marriott deserves a 5-star rating. The bed was comfortable, my tv was rather large offering Netflix as an option. The bathroom was larger than average and I had two closets. I stayed for 3 nights and took them up on their offer of not having housekeeping for a day in exchange for extra Marriott points for my stay. The meeting rooms were very comfortable and staff very pleasant. I will return.

The hotel was undergoing some renovations and looked to have had some completed recently. The lobby and conference rooms were nice and the food was good. We had to use the indoor pool restrooms as the main restrooms were closed. The indoor pool had a strong chlorine smell. There is also an outdoor pool.

Great experience! Came for a family's wedding. We can be a disorganized and sometimes rambunctious bunch, but the staff was extremely accommodating, polite, and friendly. The rooms and ballroom for the wedding were all immaculate. I definitely recommend this hotel for anyone looking to stay in the area.

Love this hotel. Definitely my favorite in the area. Tends to sell out extremely quickly and can be pricey, but it's a great location. It's a full service hotel with a couple restaurants, bar, store and much more. Rooms are awesome, staff extremely polite and friendly, and warm welcoming feel when you walk in.

Room was decent, but hotel service was pretty awful. I prepaid my stay, but was charged for an extra night when I first checked in. The hotel profusely apologized, but the charge cleared my credit card and it's still in the process of reversing, so it carried over into another billing cycle because that was almost a month ago.

Most hotels charge nothing until you check out. They said this was a "System error," but that front desk person clearly didn't understand that I had already pre-paid, even though I am a rewards member who used the app. It should not still be on my credit card.

We asked the front desk multiple times the first day and again the second day for extra pillows, which they said they would put in our room - nope. Never happened.

Definitely will stay somewhere else in Alpharetta when visiting family next time. Facilities were decent, but staff needs a LOT of work.

Very good facility for meetings & nice hotel. Rooms are good. Restaurant & bar on site including a Starbucks coffee shop (not as good as stand alone stores but still good). Large variety of setups for meeting rooms. Great snacks/beverages for breaks at meetings and nice lunch buffet during meetings available.

Surprisingly elegant… Inside a beautiful foyer very friendly and professional staff very clean and classy. Hotel has huge lobby with chandeliers and couches with a bar area and Starbucks coffee offer as well as a huge dining room for breakfast which is served buffet style with a variety of meats eggs made to order omelettes whatever you're in the mood for they have. There's also an indoor and outdoor swimming pool hotel was very clean and quiet.Hotel also offers American girl experience which every young girl should try.great experience

Great place to stay with free parking. Friendly staff can be found throughout the hotel. Rooms are clean but slightly dated for my tastes. However, the TV's are fairly large recent models. Very popular with business travelers so be sure to book a few weeks out as it is often sold out.

We stayed at the Marriott Alpharetta for my daughter to have the American Girl Experience before we visited the store. The hotel staff does a great job of making kids feel welcome and special. My daughter enjoyed the stay. The room was avg for the price point. The room didn't keep a good temp, so AC was consistently on and off. Bed was comfortable. TV was huge for this size room. Stations were limited, but TV streamed access to our Netflix and Hulu accounts which was a plus. To stay here for the American Doll Experience, it is worth it. If the stay was for personal travel, we would consider this hotel while researching others.

This is a good location to host corporate events. The staff is helpful and the rooms are versatile in size. I deducted a star because the food for large groups is very bland. If you order from the on site restaurant, it's much much better. I've been to about 20 different events here and spent the night 3 or 4 times. Great place!

Beautiful hotel with nice amenities. disappointed with their ability to meet my requests. It was our wedding anniversary and I specified this in my reservation. Did not expect an upgrade but I did ask for a room on a higher floor so it would be quieter. We were placed on 4th floor out of 8 floors across from elevators. There were children all over the place even until 11pm. When we woke up to loud noises outside our room this morning I realized we were also across from housekeepers supply closet. We could hear them chatting and loading up. Very disappointing for my anniversary stay!
