    I'm between a three and a four.

The staff were above and beyond, though I did have a bartender snap at me when I inquired what the cost of my order was - there was no bar menu present and she mumbled in a loud and crowded bar when requesting payment. I'm sure she was overwhelmed, but it killed my experience.

The resort itself was fabulous: friendly staff, luxurious amenities, etc. They are also a short walk from South Mountain which has many trails with animals, great starry sky views, and wild animals!

Beyond hiking, location is poor and the food options were far below their value. We ended up leaving the resort to eat every meal we could, which incurs additional cost or a decent walk to chain restaurants in a high traffic area. There's no airport shuttle and you'll need to drive most anywhere outside of the resort, though a bus stop is across the busy street that rarely gets a walk signal and there aren't convenient or obvious consistent sidewalks to.

I was disappointed in the commitment to the environment they claim to have when they offer you a $15 voucher that you will lose regardless of the amount you spend it on. Be sure to buy a full $15+ worth of items if you choose to forgo your room service to "save the environment."

Bring goggles for the pools. My eyes burned for a day from the chlorine after swimming.

I'd probably stay here again with the know-how I have now, though I would take a second look at the hotels around the corner that are 1/4 the price.

Beautiful resort, the room prices were better than some others in the area. The oasis water park was fun, the prices for drinks were outrageous though, and you can't even bring your own water or tea in. Room was bright and clean, the only con was we had one of the rooms closest to the highway and we could hear the highway all night so we didn't sleep well.

If we could guarantee a room away from the highway we would definitely go back. Very kid friendly resort as well.

Great resort for a family weekend. The Oasis water park is fun. Rooms are nice. The grounds are lush with trees and flowers. The surrounding neighborhood is a slight contrast to the nice resort, otherwise very nice.

This.place speaks for itself. Beautiful scenery. Laid back environment. Delicious food. Exceptional Customer service. The Grand is also one of Arizona's older , more well established luxury resorts . I enjoyed my time here and will definitely go back again and again. I highly recommend the Grand.

I had always wanted to try the Oasis water park. My children who are 7 months, 2 years, and five years had an absolute blast. Loved the wave pool and the children's pool/ splash pad. They also enjoyed the DJ with the games for children, like balloon popping, limbo, hula hoop contest. The buffet was great too! Hot dogs, burgers, fries, chicken sandwiches, corn dog nuggets, fruit and more.
Loved how clean everything was and so much shaded seating. The staff was extremely friendly and very helpful! Loved our whole experience. We will definitely be going back again!

Feel free to stay here understanding that they may cancel your reservation without contacting you ahead of time. Made reservations for November 2017 back on August 1st. Reservation was for 4 nights in a room with two queen beds and a pull out since my wife and I have 4 children. Paid one nights stay at that time. In September, we were the victims of cc fraud so the cc company changed our cc number. Yesterday the hotel went to charge the remaining nights to our card but it was declined so the hotel cancelled our reservation and gave the room to someone else without notifying us or giving us the chance to give them our updated cc number. They emailed and said out reservation was "cancelled at our request." Nope. We never requested a cancellation. When we called to try to get this rectified, (within a couple hours of getting the email) no one had a solution for us. They even claimed, when we asked for the hotel managers email that they didn't know what the email was. They even claimed that they tried to notify us but they must have sent it to the wrong email. They obviously had our correct email since they sent us an email telling us we no longer had a reservation. Not happy with Arizona Grand Resort and Spa. Their customer service/care is terrible. We now have booked at another hotel but at twice the cost since we need room for six. Oh, the people we talked to yesterday said that this happened to several people yesterday so I was not the only one. Apparently not an isolated incident.

I've played golf here many times; one of the best courses around and the green fees won't break the bank.
Also, Water Park is awesome for the kiddos.
Check out the spa and get a good workout in or schedule a massage - Bill runs the front desk and he's amazing at his job: today was our Anniversary & baby-moon get away; he scheduled an amazing post-massage treat for us with some sparkling cider (champagne is optional).
Just a wonderful day! Thank you Arizona Grand! We will be back with friends when they come visit!

Great resort. Room was updated and comfortable. The staff was great as well. We didn't like that there was no microwave in the room. We stayed in a suite and didn't want to pay for the high priced food and drink on the resort but it would have been nice to warm up our leftovers. Also we didn't like that the water park was open only on Saturday and Sunday but I'm guessing it was their off season. There were plenty of pools and Jacuzzis instead. Overall we would definitely come back to this resort. Great place to stay.

Arizona Grand Resort & Spa was an excellent place to attend a conference. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable about their food offerings and the local area. I was able to obtain meals that meet my special dietary needs after asking. When a presenter needed a special adapter cable, the resort was able to provide one within minutes. The resort has a beautiful water park for family members to enjoy and excellent golfing opportunities. Arizona Mills Mall, Fry's Marketplace, Fry's Electronics, and a slew of restaurants are within walking distance. There are also nice hiking paths around the resort to try.

I paid for a room 5 weeks in advance for my daughter and son-in-law's wedding night. I received an email confirmation that was vague about potential charges so I called bookeeping to verify what the total was going to be (two resort charges even though they would only be there one actual day, I would not be there, my newly wed kids were coming).
When they arrived at the hotel, they were told the room still had to be paid for and that either I would have to come drive 50 miles and present the card (I thought this was taken care of!!) or they would have to pay.
Great way to start off a wedding night guys! I recommend NOT making reservations over the phone with this company. The manager that came out was uncaringit wasn't his problem

Definitely not a busy weekday destination. Water park is closed & other amenities aren't as available as they are on weekends. Plus, you find out through a small card stuck with your room key at check-in that you have a surprise $50 PER NIGHT + TAXES charge for amenities (whether they're available or not).

If you know all this ahead of time & go on a weekend when the water park is open & you have time to golf (extra charge) it may be worth the money.

Beds are great, rooms are nice & very spacious but don't expect everything to work properly. They were updating rooms so hopefully that will change soon.

If you want to impress your friend/family/coworkers, this is the place to go. The architecture is visually striking, and they do a very good job of keeping up their grounds. They also have multiple pools, restaurants, bars and spas, so you'll pretty much never be bored. On the off chance you want to get out and see the city, the Arizona Mills Mall is down the street, and downtown Tempe is just a few blocks down from that. The only downside is it's very difficult to navigate if it's your first visit, and it's generally quite a long walk to your room (though you can generally catch a golf cart to get you most of the way there). Overall, it's a great experience and a great hotel.

Enjoyed are stay, the room had been recently renovated and everything looked great. Had a great time at the Oasis. The big slides we're fun but best left for younger people, although I did try them. Loved the lazy River Forest thing in the morning and late at night the afternoons get crowded. We'll be back!

Pool right outside out door. Mostly great attentive, responsive staff. Clean. Water park with lazy river, 3 giant slides, a walk in wave pool and a kid pool. Food and refreshments too. Stores, restaurants and other attractions are just minutes away. Hiking and mountain biking trails right off the property! Great family vacation spot!

If anyone is looking for a great deal on hotels you can check it out on HotelRaven. com Booked a room on there and they had the cheapest rates around

When I go to a lovely resort like this one I always visit the spa. I had a facial that was so fabulous. I expected the massage to equally as good, however it was the worst massage I have ever had. Dianne was rough, jerked the blankets around and basically was not concentrating on the service she was providing. All other services, food, valet and room service were wonderful. I would definitely return, but no massage from Dianne

Nice property overall. There is a water park, lazy river and golf course. Very spread out with room access from the exterior. Pools throughout the property. On site everything is resort priced. So burgers and breakfasts are in the $16-$18 range. There are options close by, the staff will drive you by golf cart to the perimeter of the property. The two perimeter restaurants on the property are very good and reasonably priced for this types of food. One is Mexican and one a rustic steak house. All the food was great. Rooms are slightly dated showing some wear, but they are set up nice. All have a living room and bedroom. Bed was not great but not bad. Staff was hit or miss, some we on point and helpful, some were just there doing the minimum. There were a few really good ones. If you are into good weather and nice views and like golf or water parks I would say you'll like it. I am returning in a few months myself.
