Vet genuinely knows about ferrets! I drove two hours just to get proper care.
Worth the wait and now I have a healthy and happy pet. :) thank you!
Why book an appointment when it’s still going to be an HOUR OR MORE wait? I could just show up and check in with no appointment! Seems like an appointment just saves you a place in line! Take my advice don’t bother booking anything just show up since it’s obvious they take walk-ins over people that take time to make an appointment and arrive on time! Sorry but you guys need a better system.
Love this place! The vets are very thorough and spend time explaining things. They have very fair price and do not conduct unnecessary procedures. Best vet I have ever been to. 100% recommend.
The wait times are really long but understandable given the whole covid thing.
I’ve been coming for years and referred a ton of people here.
I’m only upset because when I booked, to my surprise-they didn’t tell me their new address or that their prices went up. They went up drastically.
However, I understand because they are at a huge building now and the cost of maintaining that place vs that little one is really different - but they could have mentioned this to existing clients that have been relying on their affordability for years..
won’t be returning anymore
The Veterinarians are very knowledgeable and both they and the staff treat your pets like their own. Friendly, courteous and always respond to requests. Prices are very reasonable. We will never go anywhere else!
I have been a customer here for over 20 yrs. We originally went with ferrets since the small animal Dr., Dr. Murray, had ferrets himself. They have treated ferrets, sugar gliders, and cats for me over the years. They call me by name when I come in and even recognize my voice on the phone. The prices for service are the best in town. No office visit fee for shots has really helped as I am on a fixed income. As a disabled Vet I know my service animal is getting the care he deserves. I recommend them to everyone I know.
This is a family owned and operated business whose staff has not changed in the 20 years I have used them. They are knowledgeable, friendly, efficient, and compassionate but if you go in with unreasonable expectations or requests their no nonsense attitude might not be to your cup of tea. I wish every veterinarian's office ran like this one. They set a high standard for care for their patients and the parents of the patients.
Located just south of Valwood Pkwy on Denton Dr they are very easy to get from I-35 E in Farmers Branch. Tell them Rigel sent you.
Had my dog euthanized there recently. They were so nice wonderful in fact Staff was excellent, made us feel like family
I went with my mother to help find out what's wrong with her lovely Chihuahua, as he had stinky breath. Turns out two of his baby teeth never fell out and were causing his breath to smell bad! The Dr and the staff were extremely helpful, professional, and polite. They were able to put his issues into simple terms for us to understand and to assist us in resolving his issue. We've been going here for years, since we moved to farmers branch in 2006. I wouldn't recommend any other clinic. Thank you Animal Clinic of Farmers Branch!
Best place ever. Great prices and the staff is very nice. I had to take my dog in for surgery and she came out all better. Thank you so much for taking good care of my 2 dogs.
We have been coming here for over 20 years. Dr Johnson along with the other doctors are superb in working with your pet and diagnosing the problem. The fee is not outrageous but most important is the time they give you in explaining what is wrong with your pet. Pam, Linda and the other ladies who greet you when you come in make you feel at home. They know you by name and they know your pet by name. Our American Bulldog (who has passed) loved coming to the vet. Chance would come in and give kisses to Pam and he would know a treat would always be waiting for him. I highly recommend Animal Clinic of Farmers Branch. Give them a try-you won't regret it.

This place is fantastic, I love not having to make an appt, the front staff is great, the price cannot be beat. They take such good care of me and my pet.
Receptionist desk clerk was so rude and disrespectful. My puppy with the runs had an accident and she wanted me to clean it up with paper towels. Dsigusting. I had to ask for cleaner. A very kind vet assistant offered to clean it for me ( I was 6 months pregnant and had trouble bending over. I agreed and the desk clerk told her not to and that I was responsible for my own pet's cleanup. Funny thing is that there were two uncleaned pee spots on the floor at the time. At check out I was ignored at the desk for at least ten minutes while she typed and answered phones. I will NEVER EVER take my business there again. Very Unfortunate.
I have never taken my animal there nor would I. I manage a boarding facility and called to check vaccinations for a client, and I experienced by far the worst customer service I ever have, and I call vets frequently. I also /reccomend/ vets to people, and with the phone call alone I will warn ever owner and pet parent I talk to about to never take their animal to this unprofessional, rude, childish location.
I could tell they were rude and unprofessional by the first words spoken alone- “animal clinic.”
And yeah the mocking laughter and “yeah what do you want?”
I can’t honestly believe this place gets any business, and I’ll be recommending a better vet for my client when they bring their animals in to board. Just tactless and disgraceful.
You need to check your receptionist as they are the face and voice of your business.
I have had one phone conversation with this office so I can't speak to the condition of their offices but the disrespectful and rude tone used by the receptionist I spoke to was unbelievable. Frankly I can't understand how anyone who is saying all the staff is friendly and helpful could have spoken to this employee. I had just found out from another vet my emotional support dog very likely has cancer and was calling in to request the prescriptions the surgeon was prescribing and I was spoken to like I was the most idiotic piece of scum this lady had ever met. Just absolutely disgusted with her customer service and I'm usually very understanding when it comes to customer service associates having worked retail my entire life. I unfortunately did not get her name but whoever owns this establishment should know that one of their employees should not be allowed to speak to customers. I'm well aware this is a low cost vet and I can only expect so much but this person went above and beyond unacceptable, if they are so hateful just speaking to people I certainly hope they aren't allowed to deal with the animals and I am baffledas to why they would even work at a low cost vet.
Great place to get some shots and check ups. Only 5$ for a rabies vacation! Get there early when they open, it's first come first served.
I have been going here for the last 9 years that we have had our dog. They are small, but everyone is nice and they do a good job of getting people in and out as quickly as possible. They are open on Saturdays which is very nice. Overall, good place with low prices.
I've gone here several times. The front staff is all business. Not really they are fun one lady in particular is salty sweet! Maybe everyone doesn't get her humor. The lady Vet is especially nice. No it is not like some of those high priced places that gouge you with stuff you don't need every time you come in. And have you waiting for 45 minutes with an appointment. But It reminds me of the Vet care we had as kids.
Make sure you call AHEAD and ask if they are having a 3 HOUR staff meeting. Oh, and when you call ahead they'll still be rude to you, because well, that's what they live to do I came here before with one cat and everyone was rude except the vet, and I just accepted that since it is so cheap. This time I brought my new cat, which by the way is an old cat I adopted and is very needy. It was such a hassle to even get the damn cat in the kennel while getting bit, then I drove about 30 minutes to farmers branch to the clinic. I got there about 11:50, and she asked me what I was there for them said sorry, we have a 3 hour staff meeting, didn't you read the sign? Um no, I didn't read the sign because a man opened the door for me and I don't drive by this clinic everyday to ensure they are not having a 3 hour staff meeting during business hours. But if I were to call ahead and ask proactively if they will be closed during business hours, I'm sure I would've gotten attitude as well You can't win there! So I've stressed out my 9 year old Bengal cat by putting her in the kennel, driving 30 min to farmers branch in the rain, taking her out going in the clinic only to have someone smart off to me about the 3 hour meeting, then drove back 30 more minutes. Oh yeah, can't forget about the foul piss smell all in my car and over me because my cat has an infection. She did however suggest I go to lunch for 3 hours with the piss filled kennel and screaming cat. I guess she gets credit for suggesting I go to jail for leaving the cat in the car. Real winners. Being happy is a choice and God doesn't like ugly. Why do people continue to be in the service industry when their customer service sucks? Get another job, clearly you aren't happy enough with yourself, life or other people to give decent customer service. I'll pay more to drive closer and be treated better.
We LOVE this place and all the people in it!!! Our 2 dogs and 2 cats, all rescue animals, have been coming here all their lives10+ years. Yes, you have to wear your "patience hat" when you come since it's 1st come, 1st serve, but we are all adults here. You can deal with it. The staff is pleasant, funny, patient and knowledgeable. All the Doctors I've dealt with are more than helpful and will always answer the many questions I throw at them for each of my babies. I can't live without them!
You are all so appreciated!!!
I have been bringing my sugar gliders here for 10 years. Prices are very low, and they are caring. I love Dr. Murray.
Caring staff who was very responsive to our emergency situation. We thank you for putting our loved one in your priority list without an appointment.
Have gone to them for over 15 years. I have 5 dogs. They provide outstanding care and don't charge you your life. I won't change period.
It's on a first come first served basics. Cash or credit card. They impress you with providing your animals outstanding care.
They don't waste time.
Have outstanding Vets on duty.
Inexpensive and efficient. I will return, could be cleaner, but I still say 5 stars. Service is inexpensive and staff is friendly and my pup was well taken care of
I began using this clinic several years ago once I became disabled and could no longer afford my high priced vet in North Dallas. The care here is incredible! The staff are friendly and have a genuine concern for their customers and their pets. Every experience of mine at this clinic has been a positive one.
