My family stayed here for 10 days in July 2017 and had such a great time! Barbara and her family made us feel like part of her family! We'll be back again! Beautiful location, can't go wrong in Maine!

We rented two cabins and all of the rooms in the main house. We were able to extend our stay in the house which was great! The whole experience was very good.

Stayed in the house but was not impressed. Very hot and smelled like mold. Bed was beyond uncomfortable, infact, my husband slept on the floor instead of the bed. We actually switched to an air bnb in Wayne!

DO NOT STAY HERE. POORLY MANAGED! UNPROFESSIONAL! HARRASSED BY OWNERS. My husband and I spent 4000.00 to rent the house for our family for one week during the week of our daughter's wedding on Androscoggin Lake. We were constantly harassed by Barbara. Even though we paid in advance of arriving she told my daughter (who arrived first) that we had not paid. When we arrived, my husband and I had to search our bank records and show Barbara the canceled checks that she signed to prove we had paid. We rented the house for 9 days, checking in on Saturday and out a week from the following Monday. On Friday, the day before the wedding, Barbara told us we had to be out promptly at 10:00 on SUNDAY! I reminded her we had rented until Monday, which she denied. With all the activities and stress of a large wedding, the last thing I needed was to be told we had to be out of the house by 10:00 the day after the wedding. After what seemed like forever, Barbara checked the contract and saw we had indeed rented until Monday. We arranged to bring our two dogs with us, Barbara again, completely forgot she agreed to that, and harassed my daughter (the bride) for an additional 200.00 non-refundable deposit on top of the 500.00 deposit we had already paid. Barbara never once gave us a contract or a receipt. We rented the house 10 months in advance. I attempted to call for a receipt and contract several times before arriving and no one answered the phone nor did they return calls. There is no air in the kitchen or living room. If you cook for 5 minutes it is miserable. This place is poorly managed. The bottom floor of the house smells like mildew, it is dark and damp. Upstairs is nice but so out of date. The grounds are poorly kept, and significantly aged. The screened in Gazebo that we were promised was old unkempt. I would NEVER recommend doing business with this place. I completely regret it. Any wedding is stressful, staying at this place just added to the stress.

Just left this am. The cottage was very clean. Love the hand made quilts on the beds. The views were wonderful especially the sun going down over the lake. My family loved kayaking. Very peaceful. Went to Fast Eddy's, Hurricanes , and the Village Inn to eat. All were yummy. Bought things to take home from A Lakeside Studio Pottery. Enjoyed a community band performing in Auburn. Over all great trip. Looking forward to coming back again. Even our two dogs had a blast in the lake. See ya next year!
