Rooms are spacious for 1 or 2 people. The hotel is easy to find and there isn't much room noise from the outside. Not the most comfortable pillows on the bed if you prefer a firm pillow. Staff greeted me and got me what I needed.
This place is nice and clean, however they fail at providing the most basic of hotel function a quiet room to sleep. I was given a room on the second floor directly above the lobby. I could hear every conversation below like I was sitting at the bar myself. When I came down to the front desk to ask about the noise the response was “Sorry about that. The bar closes at 2. If you want to pack your things we can move you to a new room.” Every hotel has loud guests and slamming doors, but this place is exceptionally bad. Don’t stay here if you plan on sleeping.
Fantastic stay. Very trendy. Awesome location. Depending on the direction you take getting to the hotel it can be deceving but it is well worth the time. I wish they had a hot tub but the rest of the hotel is not disappointing. Definitely stay there again!
Beautiful inspired set up. Very trendy lobby and guest room. Elevator is a bit slow, no ice machines on the floors so you have to go all the way to the lobby if you need ice. Hallways look really nice adding some elevators on the ends would have been a wise investment so the guests don't have two long hallways to their room. Pool not very big, no hot tub. Such a beautiful outdoor space off the pool room. The restroom in the pool area has white glass doors that can be seen through, not clearly but not the best idea for a bathroom. If they had a larger, deeper pool and furniture without holes in it that could be a real attraction for them.
This is a great and fun hotel to stay at. There was a bit of a billing issue since "the system" was down. The only blemish on a great night. And the blue soap is awesome. It smells like fruit loops. Seriously.
We used the Aloft for our wedding block hotel and it was a great choice! Maggie, the wedding block coordinator, was easy to work with and was great at making last minutes changes to accommodate us and our guests. While we were there, the staff (especially Amanda, Dan, and Lucy) were extremely friendly and went above and beyond to make sure all our needs were met. The hotel itself is modern and fun, with a large lobby and bar that is perfect for post-wedding drinks. We loved just hanging out in the lobby with our guests, the hotel definitely has more of a party feel but is still well run and clean. It’s also right down the street within walking distance of a large mall, which was great for out of town guests… and for a couple members of our bridal party who forgot to bring clothes and needed to run to Macy’s! I would recommend the Aloft for couples getting married in the southwest suburbs, especially if you are going to have a lot of guests in their 20s and 30s staying at the hotel.
Friendly staff that were very attentive. In my opinion the room was a bit below average. The bed sheets and comforters appeared to have hair and dirt on them, the bathroom did not have toilet paper and bathroom wall fixtures were not secured very well. The bed I slept in was not too comfortable because I could feel the springs through the mattress. The hotel bar area was clean and felt inviting. Free coffee and bottled water was a nice touch. The price for a room was reasonable for the area at about $100 a night.
I loved this hotel. We attended were attending a wedding and the hotel was convenient to the venue. The staff was very accommodating to the grooms requests of borrowing a room to practice a dance, etc. There is a bar and pool table in the lobby. It gets very lively at night but got can't hear it from the rooms. The bar tenders were excellent as well. The hotel staff allowed us early check in and late check out. The rooms were very spacious, chic, and clean. Overall we had a really great time.
I've stayed here 4 times this year. Twice there was no hot water in the morning so I had to take a cold shower. The last time I arrived with my prepaid reservation direct from the Aloft website and they sent me to another hotel 12 miles away because they over booked. The staff are pleasant, but all they can say is "sorry about that".
The rooms are clean and nice. I appreciate the hotel's effort for environmental sustainability. The only thing that bothers me about the hotel is the music. I understand that it's part of the vibe, but it's tough early in the morning on the way to business meetings.
The Aloft has nice amenities, clean and stylish. There is a pool, it's not very large, but good for a nice dip or casual exercise. There is also workout room, again not big, but when i was there it was not crowded, so you have your choice of equipment. There is a bar on location, I did not utilize the bar on my visit, so I can't really speak to that. The locale is good and is near the Promenade, which has many entertainment choices. I would say the rates are a little high and the rooms are not very spacious, but if you are planning on taking advantage of the resources and just want a room to sleep in, this is a good option.
I tried this hotel a few years ago when it first opened and did not care for the atmosphere. Beds were harder than I would prefer and all the pillows were the same and flat. Breakfast setup is strange and way expensive. Worse than airport prices. Because of location convenience I thought I'd try it again. Unfortunately none of this has changed. On a positive note the staff was much friendlier than in the past.
Welcoming environment; I've ways been here for friend's birthday parties. I've never had a bad time or horrible bartender. The rooms are comfy, the decor is progressive and the ambience is priceless. Something for everyone over 18.
