The location is great if you're heading to McCormick place. I was also surprised that they have a shuttle that also goes to McCormick place. There is a restaurant and bar, but they were closed for renovations. Rooms are nice and spacious and I particularly like the bathrooms, but the light switch in my room wasn't attached to anything so I had to click on lamps to get lights, which one lamp was wobbly and the one on the night stand was broken and the fan in the bathroom keep running. I could not turn it off. Otherwise the staff is friendly; they did let me check in early, and the rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable.

Lobby nice. Parking lot nice. Evidently part of hotel under construction right now. No breakfast, not even toast. Only coffee from a machine and it was NASTY. Not sure how you can mess that up. Room was very nice and very clean, but shower had a leak in ceiling over light. I'm not getting electrocuted today Loop Hotel! :) Might stay again some day if price goes down.

Pretty good stay. It's a 3 star hotel so there are some cosmetic and function flaws (dresser drawers and closet doors that don't slide open or closed smoothly and a room door on which the deadbolt requires a trick to work) but the staff was friendly and helpful. Bonnie (front desk) and Jesse (maintenance) were sweethearts, easily changing my room when I declined the one with the trick deadbolt. I loved the room they moved me to. Plenty of space.

The hotel is within walking distance of McCormick Place where the conference I was attending was being held. Even better it had free parking!

My one major complaint is that the cleaning staff isn't terribly thorough or especially good. Nothing was left dirty just less than neat. They left one of my pillows on the floor after my first night there. I didn't realize I'd knocked it off and apparently neither did they. And on another day they didn't replace the towels until evening when I was back in the room and the lady was knocking as she used her key to come in the room. Just really glad I was fully clothed.

I'd stay here again but it would be dependent on the price and how close it was to where I needed to be.

The decor would not win any awards, but it was clean, comfortable and I had a nice view of the city. Local delivering restaurants included an Italian place called Rosati's (famous in Chicago) that had the best chicken noodle soup I had ever tasted. This might have been a fluke as the next day I went and asked for more (in person this time) and to ask for the recipe. Staff was all very pleasant and helpful with directions.

Nice hotel, good beds, big bathroom and the tub is huge. Seems like a decent area, but I'm in town for an event, so I haven't gotten out much. Few blocks from an L stop that takes you to the north loop, so pretty convenient! There's a few parking areas, first come first serve. I checked in early, so there were plenty of available spots but it could fill up quickly.

Beautiful old hotel. The room was very spacious, as was the bathroom. It was clean and comfortable. I loved that I didn't have to pay for parking. The parking area wasn't secure though because the exit gate wouldn't close. We paid more than we would have liked but we were in town for a special occaision.

Mostly clean hotel and rooms. The edges of the rooms at baseboards and corners could be vacuumed as well as the closet between guests, but overall very nice. Super comfortable beds. Desk staff always courteous and very helpful. Other than the sirens and the Ell, the rooms are quiet. Thick walls so you can't hear your neighbors, if any.

The people who work here were nice. They were good with turn down service. The drinks at their bar were well priced. My only knock is having to ask for extra face rags. Two people should get more two rags a piece. That and their "private" lot gate wasn't properly functioning when I arrived (they have a gated and more open lot; must have their parking pass to park in either). All good other than.

Great location for me when I go to Chicago. Always clean and well stocked. All of the employees are friendly and helpful. They have food, drinks and a coffee shop. All of this and free parking too!

Good service from front desk staff. Free parking was very nice. I did not get a chance to check out amenities such as the fitness center or cafe, but noticed that they had a 24hr business center, which is a nice touch considering it is a small hotel. Rooms are clean, and the beds (which they mention have been recently updated with new mattresses) were incredibly comfortable. The bathtub was massive, allowing for a very comforting soak. The selection of toiletries provided was decent (they had soap, shampoo and moisturizer but no toothpaste or bubble bath) and the towels and linens were clean and dry. I wish there was room service available, but these are all small things, and honestly for the price, it is good value. You get what you pay for, and rest comfortably.

Overall my stay was pretty good. The hotel borders some questionable areas, but the hotel itself is in a nice location. Rooms are nice as well, with comfy beds and nice furniture. The TV in our room, unfortunately, did not work very well at all. It has a decent exercise facility, but unfortunately no pool. Only stayed one night and checked out relatively early in the morning, so we didn't have any experience with room service or the like. Overall, would recommend if you can get a room for a decent price and aren't planning on spending all your time in the hotel.

Placed client at the property not knowing what to expect. Have to say this is one nice hotel. The client loved the place. She was treated like royalty. The management and staff were super friendly. The room was clean and functional. Tons of mass transit close by. That means so much when our associates have nothing but great things to say about their experiences. I will definitely be sending future clients to this property in the future.

I stayed at the Chicago South Loop Hotel two weekends out of the last three and highly recommend this hotel. It is convenient to everything. The rooms are spacious and the soaking size tub is amazing. The staff are professional and very accommodating. I can't say enough about my stay here. I will make this my Chicago hotel.
