Decent place, as not much around the area, and I mean that with no disrespect. I just don't expect Steve Correl visiting anytime soon. I didn't stay here but I did check out the ballroom which is great for a party. If I had to go back in time and had to pick a place for my sweet sixteen party, the DoubleTree would be on my list of possible venues.
Hotel stay was comfortable. NOT at all happy with transportation from airport. Returned flight,, called hotel at 7:45 pm for "shuttles on the hour" only to find that it was going to be 50 minutes. Then I was asked if I was going to wait for it. I replied, what choice do I have, my car is in your parking lot. To which I was told that I could take a taxi. So, I spent another 40$ on a cab ride. Should be called park and get stranded. WORST park and fly experience ever. Stick to hotels because the transportation end sucks.
The hotel staff was very friendly. No complimentary breakfast. The breakfast buffet was delicious and you get quite a bit for $11.99. They also give free warm and soft cookies.. on another note, they hold $50 per night. We kept seeing little brown ants in our room on the wall. I thought the price was too high due to not having a microwave or refrigerator in the room. The Evian bottle of water in the room is $4, so drink up if you want. Pillows are extremely soft. They do offer cots. Must wear wristband to get in pool.
The room was amazing and closer to the highway than we expected. Staff and associates were helpful with directions and hospitality. I would definitely recommend this place to my friends and family. Wish they had a microwave in room to re-warm cookies. But other than that, amazing stay!!!!
Ate at Algauers Restaurant for my Birthday. Have been doing it for years. Buy one get one free with desert on your birthday. Best prime rib in the Southwest suburbs.
The rooms and hotel we're very nice. Perhaps a little outdated. However, I dined at the restaurant for their Prime Rib buffet and at $17/plate, it was terrible. The prime rib was left out to get cold with no one tending to it. The wait staff, although not very busy, was inattentive and slow. The hotel was great, the restaurant was not.
The on site restaurant was cozy even though they had a wedding going on. We sat in the bar. Service was slow that night, but the food was very good and worth the wait. We had the taco salad with chicken. All of us like it as an appetizer, then burgers. Definitely a nice time. I would go again.
My son's Wedding was held herebeautiful ceremony and beautiful room for the reception. .food was exceptional as was the wait help. ..I will look to hold any occasion at the Double Tree..I know they will give me excellent service.
I never rate anything but after visiting your hotel I was very impressed with the presentation. The service was excellent and it was very very clean. I have never been in a bathroom as clean as yours. Keep up the good work. I rate your hotel a 10
Room is good, staff are friendly and professional. Bar is good with good food. Though hotel is next to highway so can be noisy at night.
The DoubleTree in Alsip was a great experience. My family has been there multiple times and while we did not stay in the actual hotel, we love the food they serve. They provide us with excellent service in a timely manner, as well as friendly and welcoming staff. The food was expertly cooked and very much a treat to have. Definitely worth checking out!
I regularly attend this hotel for continuing education classes six times as year for the past four years and it always consistent in its quality of the room, parking accessibility and sense of professionalism by the staff. They are always enquiring if the can help in any way. Living near by,I would never have a reason to stay overnight, but could only imagine how nice the experience would be given the way that treat me as a conference attendee.
An affordable option if you are looking for a venue in a pinch. If you live or work in the south suburbs of Chicago it is located reasonably close to 57. The bar was nice and the employees were incredibly polite.
Went to the Double Tree by Hilton Hotel Chicago for a seminar. First time I was ever there, had no problem parking, landscaping was nice, door greeter was polite and helpful, the general space was neat and clean, the facilities were also clean and nice smelling, the conference room was a nice temperature and the seating was comfortable. I would host my own seminar there if I were holding one.
