Our stay at the Reef Resort was exceptional. Our room was extremely spacious with a large living room, bedroom, bathroom, and balcony with amazing views of lake Taupo. The hotel managers were very friendly and provided recommendations on places to eat and things to do. I highly recommend renting bikes from the front desk for a great lake-side activity!

Great place. Clean and cozy with free WiFi, good Coffee (very important), nice heated pools. I even got a room with an amazing of lake Taupo (even though I paid for a non lake view) thanks guys! The reception staff also gave us a warm welcome.

I highly recommend the Reef Resort. The room was great with awesome views of the lake. The hosts were so lovely and accommodating, they made me feel very at home. I will definitely be back.

Great place to stay, free car parking and great managers. Very helpful with us because we got in late. Weather wasn't great but the pool area looked fantastic and the views out to Lake Taupo were amazing. Would stay here again.

This was a nice hotel! Our room was large, had a bath tub with jets! No elevator so we had to lug our luggage up a flight of steps. But they had a hot pool that was outdoors, and good views of Lake Taupo. Would stay here again.

I wish I could rate this hotel more than 5 - hands down the best value for money of any hotel in the country. Fantastic service (staff seemed genuinely interested in our travels and what we had planned in Taupo), room was immaculate, cozy and ridiculously spacious with all the amenities you could ask for (yay for robes!). We were also witness to the fact that rooms were thoroughly cleaned by multiple cleaners simultaneously (they even cleaned the floors of patio outside the room!). The outdoor thermal heated pool and Jacuzzi were the cherry on top to what could only be called a perfect hotel.
