Although the hotel shows clear signs of age and wear, the room we were provided was comfortable and had a great view of Te Puia. There was also plenty of parking available

Don't ever stay at this place unless its the last resort. Some of the lights didn't work in the room. Toilet seat was broken and the toilet didn't flush. If they upgraded the hotel it would be great!! but its really bad and smells awful. So disappointing wish I read the reviews before I booked.

For the price, room was quite big with all facilities.
View was nice.
But really disappointed with the bed and mattress which were not in bad shape.

GET THIS PLACE SHUT DOWN - BE WARNED!!!!! SAME MOTEL NEXT DOOR SHUT DOWN CAUSE OF COMPLETE FILTH!!! DOUBLE CHARGED FOR THE ROOM THAT WHEN I LAID DOWN MY PARTNER SAID "DONT MOVE BABE " & GRABBED A COCKAROACH FROM NEXT TO MY PILLOW!!! TOILET SEAT NEARLY FELL OFF, STAINS ON THE CURTAINS, NO WIFI & THE MANGER RUNNING SILVEROAKS GEYERSLAND WONT HELP ME EVEN THO HE WORKS FOR THE SAME DEAD BEAT BOSS WHO RAN THE PUTRID MOTEL WE STAYED IN NEXT DOOR WHICH SHUT DOWN YESTERDAY 31/8/2017!!!! HAVE BEEN HUNG UP ON 4 OCCASIONS BY RICHARD & IS SO SO RUDE!!! GREG WILSON I WILL BE TAKING U TO THE TRIBUNAL TO GET MY MONEY BACK & IF ANYONE ELSE WHO STAYED IN THIS PUTRID PLACE WANTS TO KNOW HOW TO DO IT PLEASE MESSAGE ME!!! U GIVE ROTORUA & NZ A VERY BAD NAME!!!!

Great veiws and ok rooms but definitely overpriced. Poor security at night and potentially dangerous with unmonitored entry from the carpark to your room. Very unsafe.

This hotel is one of the worst I have seen! I was charged before seeing the rooms for obvious reasons! Now have been charged twice without my consent ! NEVER EVER USE THIS HOTEL. Check out other reviews and you will hear about the owner and his reputation! Even the staff complain about the disgusting condition of this hell hole!!
Pool empty, holes in carpet and bedspreads, gaps around door to outside, smelly, broken beds, mould in bathroom the list goes on.response / report this review -

Easy and fast check in. Room was heated upon our arrival which was great as the day was very cold and wet. Free spa was great. Private and clean. Room and the decor had seen better days, however for the price. I am not complaining. Bathroom was great, nice hot water with great pressure. Definitely will stay again.

Great views of the geyers without paying extra but place is literally falling apart. The smell is pretty bad as well because of the geyers are so close.

Awful place we lasted 10-20mins there they offered us another room that wasn't much better. Won't refund us as apparently they don't have merchant card. Place had paint peeling from the ceiling which I didn't want my 2yr old to sleep under as who knows what paint was flaking away and what was in it. Poor if I could give it no stars I would. After reading others reviews and articles on stuff I agree the place should be condemned.

If you take a room with geyser-view on the !4th! floor you can compensate the old, shabby hotel. The view was really great! The room was big, the price was ok.

My room had a great view of the geyser, but no internet connection. The room was well worn (I apparently had 2 cold taps) but it was just poorly maintained. They did overcharge my card, despite my room being pre-paid, and claimed it was an accident and would be fixed quickly. Days, weeks and months passed before my bank also gave up on them and reimbursed me. Great spot, especially for the MTB park, but lousy rooms.

It's a little old and a renovation can definitely help. Wifi was only available in lobby as there were some router issues and and some basic utensils would help in the absence of a proper restaurant.
