Memories of what camping used to be like with clean facilities and friendly hosts. Just need more access to drinking water to lift it to 5 stars. beautiful beach worth a visit

Great campsite! We normally do DOC camping but went with a large group to Opoutere and we had a wonderful weekend. From our campsite, it was a five minute walk to the beach. Plus, in the rain, it was nice to have facilities - covered kitchen, picnic tables, bathrooms, etc. It's a beautiful spot for a weekend away.

This campsite is clean and nice and located next to the beach (need to walk through the forest) . No DOGS allowed

Pretty basic but with a beautiful beach nearby. No lounge. Paid showers. Good toilets and drinkable water. Very small kitchen.

A friendly old fashioned camp ground. Simple amenities are clean and functional, staff are friendly and relaxed. an you are only 5 minutes walk through pines to a beautiful beach with rare birdlife and a good surf break. I stay there as often as I can.

Fantastic quite beach. Campground is not overdone, old style Kiwi camping as it should be. Facilities are older but we'll maintained.
