The food was pretty good, we had three meals between us and they tasted great. Two of us had open sandwiches, both tasted amazing our only comment was that there was a bit too much sauce which made the bread soggy.
The coffee was a meh which was disappointing, not too sure on what it was but two sugars (which I don't usually use) had to be added to rescue it.
Ultimately there was a lot of potential, the food was pretty good but not amazing, service was good, the coffee left a lot to be desired.response / report this review -

Just had breakfast. Absolutely delicious. Big brekkie and French toast. Best smoothies and great coffee. Glad we found this cafe. Warm and inviting atmosphere. Will be back.

Wonderful place for lunch and/or coffee. Quick friendly service with very tasty food. I ordered the lasagna with salad and it had a nice kick to it.

Delicious breakfast, counter food looked good. Good Allpress coffee. Food portions could be bigger. Pretty busy in mornings. Gluten free options available and friendly staff.

Great French food and decent pricing. They do All Press coffee which is one of my favourite coffee beans and the staff are amazing. Certainly a place to visit if you are passing through Matamata for something to eat.
