Omega was really easy to deal with. I had a great car for a week with no issues and I found it to be very affordable. The pick up and drop off to and from the airport was timely and the customer service was excellent. I would definitely hire a car through Omega again in the future.

From pick up to checking in to getting the vehicle was easy and the staff really friendly.
I had an issue with getting the GPS sorted (it came up with Australian address's) but the lady fixed it for me.
Happy to use this company again anytime. For the staff, the vehicle, and the price.

We received excellent service from Omega. They were very flexible with drop offs as our circumstances kept changing during lockdown. Ended up renting a car from them for nearly 5 months. They were also very flexible with their rates during this time and were always on hand to give advice and help
Would definitely recommend them if you want a stress free hire!

Booked a car with a “first tier” rental company because of a bad experience with a second tier company in the UK. However, read some reviews at the last minute about some troubles with certain first tier car rental company and decided to consider Omega Car Rental. The reviews were great and their product was of good value. No regrets. I saved at least a third of the original cost (that’s including comprehensive insurance cover and GPS rental) compared to the first tier company. And I got the car that I wanted, no so called an “upgrade” I previously got from a first tier company in the past.

The only inconvenience is of course, all five of us had to get up a free park and ride bus to the end of the line with a lot of luggage on toe (we arrived Auckland.after hours). That was a small price to pay as the savings and value made up for it. The car return during office hours was easy and appreciated the free shuttle back to the airport.

The car was in excellent working order. Enjoyed driving the Hyundai Tucson.

Highly recommended.

We had a very nice experience dealing with these guys from the day of booking till we were dropped back to the airport at the end of our holiday. The vehicle that was allocated to us was in a great ( as new) condition with good fuel economy. The staff had good customer service skills and very helpful. I would definitely be using omega rentals again and would highly recommend it to others. Thank you

We got in late so had to catch the park as no ride, the instructions to catch the bus were easy and the collection of the car was as well. The car was great value for money. The return was easy as well.
If you want as great prices car with good friendly, helpful service, then Omega Rental Cars is the way to go, I will be back soon and will be going straight to there web site to book.

I recently hired a Mazda 2 from Omega Rental cars. This is the second time I’ve used their services and as a return customer I guess that says enough. On both occasions the rental has been for 10 or 12 days and we traversed the North Island. Both vehicles were approx 9 years old but were comfortable, very clean and mechanically sound. Omegas service is friendly and efficient and airport transfers to their Auckland depot 2 or 3 kilometres away are pretty seamless. On the first occasion I picked up the car from Auckland airport depot and delivered it to their Wellington city depot without any problem whatsoever. The outstanding feature of Omega is their price structure. At less than NZ$20 a day + Insurance its great value and I certainly recommend Omega to anyone travelling across the ditch who requires a rental car. Thanks again Omega.

Omega staff were excellent to deal with. Car we hired was fabulous. No problems at all. No hidden costs, everything was clear and upfront. Pick up and drop off process quick and efficient. Staff were very friendly and informative. One of the best experiences we've had with a car rental company. Won't look anywhere else in the future.

I rented a Toyota from Omega for 4 days last week during my stay in Auckland. The car I got was a 2016 model, new and clean, easy to navigate. The staff were very friendly and the whole pick-up and drop-off processes were completely hassle free. I am also very glad that I purchased the full coverage insurance. On my day to the hot water beach, I damaged the passenger side door :( but didn't have to pay for the repair. Best money ever spent! Next time I go to the south island, I will hire a car from Omega with no hesitation. Thanks guys.

This is the sixth time we've used Omega. It's such good value. It's actually quicker and cheaper to get from the airport to town renting than getting a taxi. The pickup/drop off service is so efficient. Never had a problem with a car. Have booked them again already. Thanks guys.

I rented a car from Auckland Airport last week and received a red Toyota Corolla which was a very pleasant change as I usually get Nissan Tilda's! It was good having a red car as there are so many silver cars that I continually lose them in parking lots. The Corolla had 151,000 km's but still went very well and was very frugal on petrol. Good pick-up service from Auckland airport terminal and swift return there when I returned the car! Excellent value at only $20/day

Excellent service. We did elect one of the more expensive options and got a very nice vehicle. This was still cheaper and a better option than other major companies we were shopping around with. It was well worth the price and we felt safe and secure driving throughout New Zealand. The vehicle we picked up and dropped off hassle free after hours at the Park&Ride facility. We also chose to have full coverage insurance and are glad that we didn't have to use it and I recommend it since there were several times and several places on the road that rocks and gravel gets thrown and this would have covered windshield damage if we had had any. We had unlimited mileage in our options which we recommend if you plan on moving around NZ because everything is so far apart. Thanks a lot Omega!

Planned a holiday for 2 weeks in NZ and needed a rental car on both the North and South Island's. Obviously the first search results came up with the big name rental car companies, but I scrolled down and found Omega Rental Cars. They were close to half the price of the other big name rental companies, very quick to reply to my emails, and went above and beyond to ensure that I didn't have to worry about a thing. Even getting the ferry down to the South Island was super easy - their branch in Wellington is right near the ferry terminal, and they had my car all ready to go when we arrived in Picton. Very economical Toyota Corolla we had. Got to see both islands at our own pace. Highly recommended Omega!

These guys were awesome. Absolutely zero fuss with all logistics (airport transfer, car collection, car drop-off). Car seat was provided free of charge, and was already fitted when I arrived! Will definitely use Omega again.

Beautifully little bright yellow Omega car took us round north Island for three weeks, over mountains and through the gorges. Exactly what a tourist needs for a very good price. Friendly and informed staff collect us at Auckland Airport, and took us back to our when we dropped the car in Wellington, would not both to look at any other car hire company in NZ, pity they are not in Europe.

Nice staff, and all very helpful with a good sense of humour. Our pick up was a tiny bit late [which is the only reason we didn't give a 5 star reference]. We will definitely rent with Omega again. We recently rented a car from Omega for about two weeks. Picked it up in Auckland and dropped it off in Wellington. There was a glitch during the booking process, when the confirmed price was much higher than the quotation, but it was easily fixed with an e-mail. We also had a very long wait to be picked up at Auckland airport, but it was at the start of the World Masters Games, apparently the airport's busiest day on record, so there was an excuse of sorts.
For the very reasonable price we paid we expected an old banger, so we were pleasantly surprised when we were presented with an almost brand new Corolla. The car was clean. The staff at pick up and drop off were friendly and helpful. Couldn't have asked for much more. We will use Omega again.

This is the second time I have hired a car from Omega Rental Cars and I find that they are very easy to use and very helpful indeed.
Their airport pick-up and drop off service takes the stress out of trying to find parking within the Airport precinct.
Their vehicles are modern and clean, very reliable and their tariffs are great for anyone on a limited budget.
Whenever I visit New Zealand again I will have no hesitation in hiring a vehicle from Omega again.
