Very organised, campervan spick and span when we got It, and very helpful on the phone

I was a bit apprehensive that Jucy was run entirely by teenagers. However, the vehicle's were excellent (for cheap rentals) and, apart from the aweful message when you call, they were very professional.

Horrible experience. We rented a campervan with Wifi and GPS. All vans are supposed to come with a heater as well. They told us upon check-in that they did not have any Wifi/GPS units to give us (they refunded the cost, but that still left us without the service we reserved). Later our first night, we discovered that they had neglected to give us a heater. This was a serious issue since it was the middle of winter! We returned the van early as a result, but the manager refused to give us more than a token amount off the rental. The customer service was horrible throughout.

I have had a good experience with jucy at their Auckland airport office. I was returning my jucy relocation condo campervan after a long trip in South Island. There was a confusion regarding the payment due to some miscalculations from their side, but when I pointed that out they quickly resolve it. The process only took around 15 mins for me. However I think the staffs can have a more humanly approach to the customer. They acted more like automated systems calculating payment and ticking the check boxes.

This is first time I take JUCY as experience in car rental. Never been in New Zealand before, so I do hope for the best from JUCY. All I can say is, their service here is very bad. After take payment, they just leave us like that, not help us anything to set up the car, teach us how to use the car. It seem like they just give what you pay for it and say "our policy is just give what you book for, we are not responsible for anything else" they say like this after got full payment from me. Hard for me, but I take that chellange for my family. This teach me a lot in picking the right car rental company next time. Please read review first before you pick the car.

Great experience using the JUCY van while touring the northern island of New Zealand. I was able to change the place where I wanted to pickup my van without a hiccup. The staff were friendly and very accomodating to any requests. They explained what needed to be done in order for things to work out well and smoothly.

There was a shuttle to pick us up from the airport after giving them a ring. The staff helped us load our luggage and brought us swiftly to the van pickup.

Usually I find Jucy good - affordable, really helpful and vehicles clean, tidy, and fit for purpose. This time they tried to give me a car with the fuel light on (completely empty), the car had lots of scrapes and wasn't very clean inside, and they had used far too much perfumed spray. It took a while for them to negotiate that they would escort me to the petrol station and pay for the petrol and I would drive off them there.
Also their shuttle has a broken step ( it's supposed to slide out automatically when the door is opened), and the shuttle floor is really high off the ground. This was broken 10 months ago, and I was on crutches, so they set out a small plastic stool for me to use. Really unsafe, and I was quite surprised to see if was still an issue. An older gentleman really struggled to get in.

Waited at the airport for the shuttle no worries. Getting from the airport to the car hire with a two year old wasn't safe as we had to just hold him on our lap. Get to the rental place and spend over an hour here waiting to get the car, and a safe seat. We're handed a booster seat and told "that's all we have" our son is 2 and requires a 5 point safety harness, not a seat belt through a booster seat. The car its self is fine, clean and goes well. Whilst it is a tiny car we make our peace with that, what we aren't impressed with is paying $40.00 for a seat that is unsafe for our kid, and the unhappy unhelpful staff with an attitude.

The car itself was clean and worked well. However, the same could not be said for the child car seats we hired. The car seats were stored in damp iso container. There were broken seats and capsules without bases amongst them. One seat was quite damp and neither of them had been cleaned.
Service was very slow. It took 45 minutes to sort out the paperwork and get the car seats and sort out the car.
The pre registration of drivers licences on line for a speedy checkout was a waste of time because none of the details came up on the screens at check in time.
We only just made the last ferry to Waiheke Island due to the delay.

I waited more than one and a half hour for my pre-ordered camper van, plus the staff was unfriendly. However, the van we've got is quite good.
