Great service by reception staff. However, we were rented a car with what appeared to be just panel damage, but after travelling on the open road we realised there was more as it was very "skittish" and felt unsafe at speed. We tried to contact them twice, through website and leaving a message on the phone, but they didn't get back to us for over 24 hours and they wanted us to take the car back to them to be looked at by their mechanics. This was impossible for us by that time, as we were on a strict timetable. Snap Rentals have not responded to our complaint.

When picking up car we asked do we have to pay for any toll or extra charges they said no everything is covered and after some time they charged $50 for toll charge and $25 for administration fees which is something useless and good way of making extra money.
I would not recommend anyone.

Easy to deal with. Pick and drop off from airport was quick. Car worked fine, a little rough in spots but perfectly decent for the price.

Great prices and great cars. Very easy if you do everything online before you get there pick up was really quick. They also returned my bond very quickly which is a bond.

I have never heard of Snap Rentals before, I searched for cheap rentals online and came across Snap Rentals. I was shocked to see how cheap their 'all inclusive prices' were to hire the SUV I was looking for, also they had the latest model!! (Bonus) It was super helpful with the live chat to be able to ask the questions prior to booking the SUV, super helpful :) The guy at Auckland Snap Rentals help desk was very friendly and super fast at organising the paperwork. That I loved as I hate having to wait! So I definitely highly recommend Auckland Snap Rentals, way cheaper then the big well known rental brands out there, easy to find, super cheap, no long queues at customer desk to pick up your vehicle, service with a smile, super comfy SUV vehicle, had no problems at all and rides super smooth. I will be hiring from Auckland Snap Rentals again. So what you waiting for? Look their website up online or give them a call :) Go on you wont be disappointed :)

I rented a compact auto from the Christchurch airport Snap and it was perfect for my weekend. The staff were lovely and really responsive. I had to pick the car up out of hours and they called the day I was collecting to make sure I knew what to do and had the correct 0800 number to call. The Snap staff were so friendly when I dropped the car off too. It's my first time hiring with Snap and I will do it again.

Snap rentals were very efficient. The car we had was excellent. They are away from the airport but they are in the park and ride area which is only a short distance from the airport and well served by buses every 5 mins. They give excellent directions. Very reasonably priced. Great value for money . Would definitely use them again. Also very friendly staff

The car we rented was like new and great for traveling around in. We had a LOT of luggage so it was tight, but we should have chosen a larger vehicle. We had a little trouble reaching someone for an after hours pickup, so I didn't give 5 stars. But a limo driver at the airport helped us reach them, and after a wait, we were picked up. Got the car quickly, and the return went smoothly. We got to the airport quickly and with plenty of time. My husband would like to use a rental service that has an actual office at the airport next time to avoid the mix up we had. But that aside, our experience was great.

Fantastic service. Friendly efficient staff at both Christchurch & Auckland Airport offices. Two brilliant vehicles. I took Zero Excess insurance for total peace of mind, and no questions asked on return. Quick check of mileage and fuel tank, and Away I went. First class service. Highly recommended.

Best car rental that I had the pleasure of using in a very long time. Awesome customer service, clean, new and reliable car. The whole experience, including the drop off and ride to Christchurch airport was outstanding. I highly recommend this rental company!

Poor. The car was fine and good value. The instructions on how to get to the car were almost non existent - catch a shuttle from the airport. but from where. In fact you catch the park and ride bus. Then they took a deposit of $200 on my credit card for insurance and when it had not appeared back on my card a day or two later I rang and apparently I have to wait up to 3 weeks for it to be refunded to my card. There is plenty of good value competition to these guys so next time I will try someone else

Excellent budget priced car rental for people looking for affordable car hire to get about.
It would be helpful if the procedure for finding the Snap office was clearer at the NZ international terminal, it may have been me but I did not see any signage to tell me to get on park and ride bus. After asking several people I was directed to the information desk, the lady explained the procedure and all was good.
I will be using Snap on my next visi.

Snap Rentals provided me with a great value for money service, and Peter gave me the best customer service you can find on this planet! Absolutely no problems with the vehicle, the pickup and drop off location was very convenient. I would highly recommend Snap Rentals to anyone looking for a reliable car rental shop! Arrived and car not ready was car 3 to be still washed. Waited about an hour to drive away. Not happy about the 2000 dollar insurance on hold when we already paid 175 for full insurance. The wait time was ridiculous at the airport we had to stay behind because driver had not enough seats and i was very unwell. I will definitely go back to GO Rentals! Luckily dropoff was a positive your saving grace.

Hired out the Hyundai i30 for the long weekend. Was simply blissful; She was a beauty to drive.
Customer service is always top notch too; so welcoming, informative & always cheerful.
This was the 2nd time I've rented one of SNAP rentals vehicles; it won't be the last. Can't wait to go on my next long road trip. I'll be returning real soon SNAP rentals. Highly recommend renting with this company, their prices are phenomenal.

From being picked up at Christchurch Airport by a friendly staff member in the Snap transfer van, to being returned to the airport by the same friendly staff member, our experience with Snap Rentals was terrific.
The car we had ordered wasn't available so we were upgraded - it even came in a little under the original low price!
Taking the Full Noise Collision Damage Waiver was a great idea, no need to note any damage on the car before using, as everything is covered - with no excess. This extra cover still kept us way under other rental car company's prices.
The only hiccup was trying to contact Snap Rentals after booking, they didn't reply to emails. I haven't graded down my rating because of this, as we were assured it has been mentioned to the relevant people and will be rectified.

Once we worked out how to contact Snap Rentals from the Airport, everything went very smoothly. An quick pickup from the Airport and shuttle around to pick up the car, and we were 0n our way. The staff were very friendly and this was our introduction to the locals, great start. There were no issues with the vehicle during our stay, so all good on that side. We had to drop off the vehicle outside business hours, at Heartland Hotel, and this proved to be a fairly simple task, and the hotel provided a shuttle to the Airport, which made our whole experience very good.

We booked online and on arrival were offered a brand new car. Drove nearly 3000km around the North Island with no issues whatsoever. Pick up and return were no hassle and the price beat all competitors easily. A very pleasant experience. Would recommend Snap Rentals to anyone.
