Great spot and nice managers who have recently started there but bathrooms and pools were not cleaned well at all. Hopefully this will change in the near future :)

Mum forgot her clothes in one of the rooms. We contacted the front desk and they promptly found it and sent it back to us in Auckland.

Check In was pleasant, with the friendly staff happy to show us around the various facilities. There are onsite mineral pools for guest use, you just need your own towels or rent one for $2 from reception.

The rooms were dated, but were comfortable and clean.

The swimming pool was a favourite with guests, everytime we drove past, there was always someone in it.

The only negatives are that there were no fly screens on the windows, so the insects come in at night if you leave the windows open on those warm nights.

There's also no air conditioning, so you have to rely on the one stand fan in the room.

Good service. Well maintained room and surrounding. Very clean. Facilities are sufficient but could do with a upgrade. Also plaster those brick walls 100% would stay again.

I was introduced to this motel 25 years ago, and whenever I visit Rotorua, which I try do at least once a year for a winter break, it is here I stay. Now and then I might treat myself to one of the flash hotels but their pool is nothing compared to the pool in Cleveland Motel. And it is handy to everything. My children, with their children like this place as well. The owner Brij keeps the place so nice and clean. This is a lovely, family friendly Motel.
