Enjoyed our stay here tremendously. Grat staff, meals and location. Well equipped rooms with tea and coffee facilities. We even had a bath, not only a shower. My no 1 choice for next time!

The hotel has an old fashioned style, good breakfast service and great views of the fjords.

As lovely inside as it is outside! It feels like a warm and inviting mountain lodge when you first enter. Check in and check out was a breeze, the rooms are a good size with very comfy beds and bedding, and the wifi worked well. We had a room with a garden view which also means a view of the harbor and includes a small balcony with 2 chairs. Very nice! The breakfast buffet is a generous size with everything fresh or else cooked to perfection. There's a library room onsite and a viewing deck on the top floor. The lobby downstairs has a bar on one end and a fireplace on the other with plenty of comfortable seating. The views out the huge windows of the breakfast room are lovely. We enjoyed friendly service throughout our stay. Highly recommended!

This place gets really popular and crowded so book early if you'll like to stay here while in Flåm.
Very well located right by the Pier and train station, this historical hotel has been refurbished to accommodation more tourists in recent years.
The rooms are still considered basic and somewhat dated. I reckon more can be done to improve the interiors as would be expected from the price paid to stay here. Bathrooms floors not heated so winters might be scary.
Breakfast was pretty nice with good European assortment and there's also local Norwegian brown cheese which you should try if you haven't already.
Service staff were excellent, always smiley and helpful. They make this hotel a really nice place to stay in.

We were just in for a short night sleep waiting for the tunnel to reopen. Nice hotel, nice staff, didn't meet any Norwegian staff though. Two of the four beds in our room were not made. Breakfast was ok but the bacon was too salty for humans. Sadly, Flåm is destroyed by tourism, but our stay was short and comfortable enough.

Iconic hotel in Flåm. It was very quiet when visited in March 2017. Our room was a double room with balcony. Very spaceous and of a reasonable standard.
We also had dinner and breakfast at the restaurant. The food options were limited but what we had was tasty and in reasonable portions.
The hotel is very centrally situated in Flåm near both the ferry and the rail station for the Flamsbana.

Short walk from the Flam Railway. The staff was friendly. We had a small balcony with a nice view. Room had poor lighting. No washcloths. Hair dryer not very powerful. Difficult to get ice. Scenery-beautiful. Food good but not great. Breakfast buffet sadly lacking.
