My little incident. Went there by flåm train, missed the stop, being not comprehend how to properly open the door and seeing the huge gap between train and platform, I thought is wasn't the stop yet, so travelers, pls be careful. Once you missed it the option is to wait for next returning train around an hour, or walk backwards in backpack, it's literally 2 minutes of train time.
The hotel itself is very nice, tranquil, local style, being the only one hotel there, I mentioned I am a vegetarian and my dinner was nice version of vegetable balls.
There are several trails, one going down the valley by zigzag lines, view is out of the world and refreshing.response / report this review -

No-Dette hotellet er veldig unikt, det er middag var deilig, spesielt anbefalt lammekoteletter, desserter, laks, er dette den beste maten vi spiste på hotellet for middag!
En-This hotel is very unique, it is very delicious dinner, especially recommended lamb chops, desserts, salmon, this is the best we eat the hotel dinner!
Ger-Das Hotel ist sehr einzigartig, es ist das Abendessen war köstlich, besonders zu empfehlen Lammkoteletts, Desserts, Lachs, das ist die beste Nahrung, die wir im Hotel zum Abendessen aßen!

Lovely dinner buffet offered. The views from the hotel are amazing, though this may be because there are no other properties other than the train station around. Would definitely reccomend this hotel.

Very god food, nice relaxed old athmosphere in the hotel and marveles location in between the mountains. No "tourist" feeling.

Beautifully scenic, evening buffet is scrumptious, isolated, perfect mountain cycling or hiking trails closeby. Train stop just outside in the direction of the popular flåm railway. Lost count of how many servings of white asparagus soup and lemon raspberry jello I had! Rooms are simple and cozy. Sauna available. Top floor has a lounge/game room/balcony with a great view of the surrounding mountains.

Stayed one night at this mountain lodge in April, and can highly recommend it to visitors to Norway. The rooms are extremely clean, cozy, and well-heated. Additionally they provided high quality shampoo, conditioner (so important!), and soaps. It is so unbelievably quiet (except for the charming train sounds during the day). Some of the photos online may give the impression of a "cottage shabby" decor, but upon arrival this transforms into a perfect atmosphere that fits perfectly with the train journey and the surrounding mountains. The owners and employees are very personable and helpful. I felt like a guest in a well-loved home.
