Very upscale store in Amsterdam. It has a good selection of designer merchandise. The food court on the top floor is a very good place to eat. I gave it 3 stars because prices are very high. Store is very nicely decorated.

Amazing mall!! I love the fact that it is designed in such a way that allows you to keep your personal space around you instead of being crowded. There are restrooms almost on every floor. The restaurant on the top floor provides a variety of cuisines. However, the staff should be a lot more polite and friendly.

Nice department store. Good service. They sell many famous brands. Jewelry and parfums are in the ground floor. Clothing in second (men) and third (women). Expensive.

This is one of the great department stores of the world. Plenty of well knowledgeable, educated, and trained sales staff to actually serve you. Amazing range of clothing, shoes, accessories, cosmetics. Boutiques from every name brand for men and women are all here. Restaurants and cafes serve a wide range of food and drink. This is a great place to to spend a rainy day.

Great department store located on Dam Square. Many designer shops on the ground floor. Well worth a browse visit or a spend. Great restaurant / cafe too!

Okay, fair enough, this store has a good selection of high end brands. BUT It's not often I receive such bad service in a shop that I feel the need to leave a bad review, especially having been a retail worker myself. I'd spent an hour or so browsing and one minute after closing time, I went to pay for my pretty expensive haul of clothes. One of those items didn't have a tag, and I was informed that it was apparently 'impossible' to purchase the item because "all the staff from that brand had gone home already" (?!) It was also 'not possible' for me to reserve the item. Right, well then you just totally needlessly lost a sale. I also needed two separate receipts as I was purchasing something for work - and oh boy. If looks could kill. After this, I had to listen to a mini rant from the girl who was serving me about how I should go shopping earlier in the day and how she was doing me such a favour for letting me pay for my clothes 1 minute after closing time. Finally, feeling pretty offended, I was leaving and then overheard a man saying "I'll just be one minute" and a security guard shouted at him "I don't have a minute" in response. That didn't really improve my opinion. So De Bijenkorf - please try and treat your paying customers like paying customers, not like huge nuisances. And treat your staff better so they aren't in such a crazy hurry to leave, because I imagine that's what's causing the issue. Thank you.

Big department store with high end fashion brands. They have tax refund department on the top floor. I like this place because they have some famous fashion brand which is quiet difficult to find in any other cities in Europe except Paris or Milan. Since you are in Holland, staff can speak English..don't worry.

Worth a visit.. very historical, sit in the old courtyard and imagine the orphans in your presence. Nice cafe too.

The selection is kept fresh, they have a reliable list of core products/brands, too For shopping it's a must in Amsterdam, but also nice to rest at the restaurant at the top.

A must see when visiting Amsterdam, or the Netherlands in particular. The store sells many goods of well-known brands. Overseas travelers: you are able to get your VAT (sales tax) reimbursed when traveling back to your home country. Citizens of Europe are obviously not eligible to use this offer.

For visitors or those who do not know the Bijenkorf (the beehive) it is a department store. It has the full range from household goods to high fashion. It has been updated to include mini stores inside by some of tje top luxury lines. They have some major excellent sales throughout the year. It is a higher end store. The food and dining area at the top is fantastic.

Must visit store in Amsterdam. Fantastic location. Very very good selection of almost anything you could be looking to buy. Higher end of the price range.
