WiFi doesn't work, shower is imposible to use (too hot or too cold), room maitainance must be improved. Do not recommend.

The Hotel is very nice and clean. Modern rooms and very quiet. We had a Nespresso machine with free coffee tabs in our room. The bathroom is big enough for 2 girls. :) Metro is about 10 mins to walk. Little bit outside of Amsterdam unfortunately.

Firstly, this hotel is about a 20 minute metro ride then a 20 minute walk from the metro station. It is literally the furthest metro stop from the centre and there is also a sign outside the hotel showing you have exited Amsterdam. But I guess that was our fault that we chose this hotel. We checked in pretty easily. However, when we did get into our room after a long day walking in the centre, we discovered that it was not clean at all. There seemed to be hair everywhere - on the bed, in the bathroom. The bathroom was not clean at all. The bathtub and tiles were manky. There was actually some poo on the wall near the toilet which was disgusting. There was dust in the room too. We reported to reception but there was no real rush to help. Eventually, the receptionist came to clean the bathroom. There was stains on the carpets and towels. The pillows provided was hardly a pillow and my bed in room 129 was a joke - it was a big hole in the middle and I woke up with a bad back every morning!! I would not recommend this hotel.

I must say very well managed place. Not luxurious, but still nice. Metro at a 10 minutes walk will take u to the city conveniently. A not so expensive restaurant is also nice. But location is remote and not much to see around. You will need to travel a bit to see interesting places. There is always some trade off you see.

This hotel is a One star hotel due to the filthy condition of their rooms.
In addition to the appalling state of their rooms, the facilities were non existent. No safe, no basic tea or coffee facilities. In fact the only comfort provide were the two clean towels.
I know there are plenty of pleasant and extremely nice hotels in the Amsterdam area.
The TULIP Inn has been a huge disappointment, don't let it be yours.

Excellent staff that were very friendly, English speaking, and very helpful. The room was large and spacious and very comfortable. Close to the train to Amsterdam Central.

Based too far from civilisation, 12 minute walk to the nearest metro. Carpet in my room wasn't clean. Window sill was dirty, mattress was far too soft. Glass shower door, didn't meet the bath, so the floor was wet.
Hotel doesn't provide bottled water for free, the Wi-Fi was very sometime-ish.response / report this review -

Old, outdated, expensive (although the city is expensive in and of itself) definitely not (French equivalent) four stars hotel. The carpet was stained, the electric work was worrying (holes in the walls and visible hanging wires) and, although the personnel was very polite and agreeable, my parents next door had someone badge in in their room in the middle of the night claiming it was his room with his own key card in his hand (a mishap at the reception?). I don't know what happened but it was unacceptable and definitely very unpleasant for my parents who don't speak Dutch or English.

I stayed at the Tulip Inn Amsterdam last year it has to be the nicest hotels Ive ever stayed in.
The staff were always nice to talk too & very helpful. The food there was amazing. On the next morning after I arrived I got a pleasant surprise when I walked out of the rear of the hotel to find what looked like a massive lake. The nearest Metro station is Gaasperplas station which is only a 10 minute walk away.
If I was to ever go back to the Netherlands I would love to go back to the Tulip Inn Riverside.response / report this review -

Oh! I left my heart here 😅One the most peaceful and serene place I have stayed during my visit to Amsterdam. Guess what, the Amstel river just flows behind this lovely place and they also have a seating arrangement over there Peaceful ❤️

This is for the Golden Tulip. The staff was friendly and helpful. The beds were quite soft. There was construction, but wasn't a problem as they usually stopped around 6 or so. Restaurant is nice. Breakfast a little much considering the price of everything else.
