Absolutely amazing. Only downside was that in order to get goggles to use at the pool you had to put down a cash deposit (who brings cash to the pool?!) and they never actually had any. Get there right in the morning if you want to rent any Or bring your own!

Beautiful resort. The staff was attentive and courteous. We came as a large group for a wedding. They took care of everything. Everyone had an amazing time. The entertainment staff: Mayra, Dylan, Santiago, Ana of course Miguel were excellent! Would highly recommend the Seacrets brand resorts.

This was my first time to an all inclusive resort and it did not disappoint! Let us begin!
Your first impression is going to be great. The lobby area is gorgeous and the concierge is very helpful and always have answers. They have multiple gift shops that are pricey, but that is to be expected at a place like this.
There are different types of rooms. We got a junior pool suite and it was very spacious. You have a large bathroom with a jetted to and a big shower with double sinks. You then get a very comfy king size bed with romantic lighting. Then you have a sitting area with couch, tables, and chairs if you order room service. Lastly we had a private balcony with furniture and a view of one of the pools.
You will not be short on food. First there is 24/7 room service, so have at it. For breakfast you can also go to the World Cafe buffet or the Coco Cafe. For lunch you have the World Cafe buffet, two outside grills, and the Oceana restaurant. For dinner you have 7 total restaurants to choose from. All very good food, enjoy!
Their spa treatments are top notch. We did the hydro therapy and couples massage and both were amazing. There are other options.
There are also 8 pools and the beach front to lay out at, but get a chair early cause they fill up fast.
Lastly the resort is very safe and had access to lots of activities and entertainment. Never felt in danger and always had options to explore.response / report this review -

This is a beautiful place. Good food and friendly staff. However, even though this stay is costing hundreds a day and it’s all inclusive.you need to go and stand in line to get a reservation for the Japanese restaurant. We waited in line for almost 30 minutes to find out we couldn’t get in till almost 10 pm. You can’t make a reservation for another day you have to go stand in line again. Even as a preferred VIP the concierge can’t help. We have been to several all inclusive, Sandals and another Secrets. Wait in line each day to try and get in for hundreds of dollars a day? This is crazy.

This place is fantastic! Always something going on. Relax at one of 7 pools, hit the beach for a walk or relax in the sand. Someone is always near by to refresh your drink or help in any way. At night choose from 6 different restaurants all with different specialties. Night time attire for dinner is dress slacks and closed toe shoes for men, For the ladies there isn't a dress code. Nightly entertainment at the main bar with lots of great bands. The complex is huge and very well maintained. The junior suite was very clean and spacious. 24 hour room service is available at no cost for all inclusive. The excursions are well planned and convenient. Highly recommend this place.

The service is exceptional at both the restaurants and around the resort. We were quickly greeted with chilled champagne when we arrived and we were taken to a relaxing spot to check in with more champagne available. So far, all our meals have been superb and I would gladly eat them all again!

I liked the no reservation dining. Also the staff was incredible. The main pool area did fill fast everyday, but I prefer the beach. Which was ok. A little rocky in spots. The food was excellent. The rooms are large and the beds comfortable.

Just returned from a girls trip and OMG we had a fabulous time!! We loved Charlie, Myra, and Dylan, as well as the 2 bartenders at the swim up bar they were exceptional!!! I’ve stayed at all inclusive before, but this one was one of the best! The only thing I’d avoid is the Japanese restaurant it was not good! The French restaurant was absolutely amazing!!! We will def be going back! Great service!!

The waiters,bellboys and lovely ladies waiting on the pools outside were GREAT.For a 4 diamond hotel,we were overall disappointed.The reception area couches were filthy and smelled awful.We were taken to the "preferred club"(joke)and were at least in a more private area to check in.Our traveling companions had an emergency at home and had to leave after a day.NO ONE in the hotel "preferred club"or main hotel did anything to assist them in finding emergency transportation home except pointing them to a hotel laptop that was yahoo.mx(in Spanish).Luckily,the Vacation Express/Nexus representative jumped in to help and we got them home.Once in our room,it was clean, cool, and well maintained.Even though you have a thermostat in your room, the temperature is clearly warmer by morning.Mini fridge was filled daily and we were able to call room service and request specifics.You could use a kayak free, but it isn't a kayak appropriate for the ocean.Small catamarans are available for free too.Snorkeling was "available" and upon asking they would tell you the additional fees.There were lots of unclear answers to simple questions. We were offered the"opportunity"to go visit one of the other Secrets properties for a 1.5 hour tour,but then you can stay the rest of the day AND receive free transportation back.They will want to keep your drivers license to do this and hold it hostage until you complete the 5.5 hr tour.NOT on my vacation in another country.Hell no.BEWARE folks.The grounds were well maintained,however the beach has serious erosion issues.To us,this meant no strolling the beach in the morning or evening.The water is NOT blue or blue green as pictured in EVERY advertisement for this place.It is dark with the healthy aquatic environment and seaweed. If you plan to snorkel on your own, you will have to swim out pretty far, but not too far as the buoys are the limit due to the boating channel.

This place is absolutely stunning but there are two shining stars (amongst a truly wonderful staff of the hardest working people you'll ever meet) and they are the activity leaders, Emmanuel and Dylan. These two young men deserve a promotion, a lifetime of good fortune and just a ton of love. They are phenomenal - treat them well 😊

My husband and I stayed at this resort July 2017. It was amazing the place is beautiful and the staff very gracious and accommodating, Luis from the buffet lounge was amazing, Claudia and Jazmin were also very nice. There was nothing wrong with this resort but the BEACH. The beach was not as nice,it was small and rocky, I was told that they are updating it. Hopefully when we visit again the BEACH will be nicer. I totally recommend this resort.

We had a fabulous time here! Room was nice and always clean, people were great here. Service was awesome for the most part! Great pools, hot tubs and ocean views ! Our favorite server was Tania she was always there when we needed anything while sitting at the pool! Anna Banana ( from entrtainment ) was awesome and so nice to us, always remembered our names and talked to us ! We met some very nice people from all over the US and Canada! Would recommend to anyone! Beautiful place!

All restaurants have dress code for men only. If you like to go on vacation with shorts and t shirts, then this place isn't for you. You have to bring your suit to get in. Even then it is not guaranteed that you can dine in. The staff will find a reason not to let you in. As an incentive the beach is dirty and very rocky. These are the secrets of Secrets Silversands!!! Spend your money somewhere else. There is so many better options. 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻

The resort is located in between Cancun and Playa Del Carmen. It is on a quiet beach which have many vendors set up for daytime water activities such as kayaks, Hobie cats, snorkeling and more. The resort staff is super friendly and all we encountered were willing to take an extra step in order to make our trip more memorable. The food is really amazing! We did not have one bad dish and we ate a lot. It's unlimited food and drink and the bars restaurants, special events focusing on both are everywhere and executed very well and tastefully. My one wish is that they had ginger ale, ginger beer and single malt scotch. There are lots of included activities that get you out into the ocean and a wonderful poolside activity director who gets the party really going. I highly recommend Silver Sands and would come back again.

My company sends some of the employees on vacation every year to Mexico and we have jumped around the last few years looking for the right place. We stayed here last year and the resort was very nice, friendly service, good food, and the price was right. We are actually going here again this month. We liked enough to stay here again. You are greeted with a glass of champagne and a cool towel while they prepare your room. They supply top shelf liquor and great salt water pools. We have been to quite a few and it's hard to find one with quality food, but they have managed to do that as well. If your looking for a great place to go that is for adults only, this is it. The swim up rooms are a great touch as well. We will see you in 3 weeks. Thanks for great service!

Went to secrets silversands in April for our Honeymoon. We arrived to bubbly and cool towels and a warm welcome. When we got to our room it was spectacular - rose petals everywhere a bottle of fizz and an amazing view! All staff are so friendly and nothing is too much trouble.

Great experience. The rooms were large and spacious, however, a bit humid. The grounds are kept up well. Service was pretty good as well. Food was pretty good as well. Would definitely recommend.

My husband and I loved this Resort- the service was wonderful, the food was very very good and some dishes were exotic. The nightly entertainment was enjoyable along with live music each evening. The beach was beautiful with soft sand and everyone that I came in contact with was very kind. The rooms were also well kept up and the bed was comfortable. I highly recommend this resort!

Very cool resort with tons of activities. There are lots of different pools so you can find a quiet one or a more exciting pool. Events staff is great always making sure people are having fun. I've been to another secrets where the food wasn't that great but not the case here. We liked all of the food we got. I would definitely recommend this resort.
