Location is great on the north side, staff was very accommodating and professional, our room was small but very well designed. Balcony with a whirpool was a great touch with a great view. Room service had typical room service menu. Pool is excellent as is the private beach.
We had an absolutely incredible 4 night stay. I recommend the all inclusive option. Great rooms. Great staff. Great amenities. Would go back.
So incredibly relaxing. The staff was amazing and fun. I have celiac disease and they were very supportive to make sure I knew what I could eat and not eat. I did not get sick once. I can't wait to go back. The beach side massages were excellent.
We stayed there last week and had a wonderful time. We stayed on the "bed and breakfast" plan instead of the full, all-inclusive. The room was lovely, the pool area very nice, the beach was great and the food (breakfast) was wonderful. Staff was very nice and helpful. I was also pleased to see that the hotel did not upcharge for drinks - prices were very reasonable. Couple of things I would do to improve, which may be in the works (the place seems fairly new). 1. More English-speaking TV channels in the room. There was only one (HBO) and we were there during the NFL playoffs, so I had to watch those in Spanish. 2. There was a built-in stove/hot plate kind of thing in the kitchen, but no pans, plates, utensils or anything in the kitchen, not even a microwave. They did have a coffee maker with cups. We did not want to cook whole meals in the room, but it would have been nice to be able to warm up leftovers from the many fine restaurants in Isla, including the ones at Aluxes. 3. They need a comfy chair or two in the room/on the deck - our family room area had a couch, an ottoman, a round kitchen-type table with two wooden chairs. It was spacious and could have used another chair or two that one could relax in. Small points - I'd definitely stay there again.
Room was great! Showing its age but still beautiful. No lines at any restaurant or bar. Staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating. Portions are very small considering the price of the all inclusive package, but buffets and room service help to fill the gaps. Location and views are amazing. Grounds are beautifully landscaped. Would recommend.
Loved it, Everything was excellent. The entire staff was amazing. The beach is gorgeous. Can't wait to go back!!
The views from the top floor were beautiful. My wife and I just chilled and hung out in the private pool at our suite. I always wanted to stay here since it was first built, it is definitely a cool spot.
Perfect location for a special vacation! The hotel staff was incredible and we couldn't have asked for better customer service. Our favorite was probably the Beach Club as we spent most of our time there enjoying the sun. Our Platinum suite was impeccable and we can't say enough about the great vacation that we had this week at PA. We'll definitely be back for a 3rd time soon!!
Spent our honeymoon in one of their Grand Platinum suites. Every minute of it was perfect. The private rooftop pool is amazing and the views are spectacular. I really hope to return again someday. Today's is our last day and we're sad to go, but the memories will last a lifetime.
I have been to this hotel 6 times. The hotel manager and staff are very friendly. My last trip I gave the manager and autographed MN Wild Jersey. I don't think he knows what hockey is! The food was great. We did go out and eat a few times. You need to enjoy the culture of this island. Last night there we took Jose (the bartender) and his family out for dinner. It was a great way to learn about their culture. When I return I feel like we are family. I can't wait to return in February 2018!
Definitely a beautiful hotel and a beautiful island, majority of the staff was fantastichowever if you're a guest with darker skin tone some of the staff won't be attentive to youthat was my experience with my wife. Spent four night there and left yesterday the 14th of august. Whilst on the beach, the guy walking around taking the drink orders would deliberately skip past us every time and not look our waythe one time I caught his attention he tried to get his other buddy to come to us instead who refusedwhen he had no choice but to come to us, his attitude was horrible to the point I just wanted to say forget it. I tried getting his name but I couldn't make it out but it started with an "M".
Hotel states that they restock the mini bar in the rooms upon request which they did once. However on the second day when we requested for it, we came back to an empty fridge, when my wife rang up about it they lied and were extremely rude to herwe spoke to someone named "Nacho" well that's what he said his name was. At this point we were frustrated and just left it alone because we realized this particular group had no problems expressing their dis-interest towards black guests so we resorted to buying drinks out from the locals to stock our fridge.
However, I will repeat that the majority of the staff was fantastic, the restaurant staff, the reception staff and especially the massage parlorexcellent servicewe are considering coming back but would really hope management would be able to do something about the staff attitudes towards dark skinned guests.
Romm was very nice. Food has been excellent so far. Absolutely beautiful location. It's a smaller resort but would definitely come back.
The friendly and courteous staff make all the difference the atmosphere is romantic and the setting is surreal. No detail is overlooked. While children are allowed here it is primarily an adult oriented and as such does not offer activities for children. There are, however, plenty of activities on the island to entertain any age.
Service has been great! The place has been clean, calm, spacious & comfortable. Even the girl at the front desk in training was a pro.
The pool & beach are lovely. My massage was 1st rate. Central beach is the perfect location. We walked to North Beachplayed volleyball with people from 4 different counties & then enjoyed an amazing sunset.
We've thoroughly enjoyed our ocean view & 2 person jet tub on the balcony. Finally the food & drinks are full of variety and delicious!
My husband travels a lot and we usually take a vacation each year. He said this is the first vacation in years where he's actually been able to relax and not had a single complaint.
Place was beautiful and is located in the best location on the island. Honeymoon rooms are large with great decks. Staff was very nice and helpful with any questions. Definitely don't do the all inclusive option. The food was very mediocre. Food is similar to a 2 star buffet style setup. You also don't want to get stuck spending all your time at the resort as the pool is far from impressive and there are so many nice beach club areas near by. 30 restaurants are within a 5 minute walk with much better quality food. Overall if you are looking for a luxury room this place is great. If that is less important check out ixchel beach hotel as it is similar in quality of place right near by for half the price. The beach club right next to privelage coast 200 pesos for a chair and umbrella and it gets reimbursed towards food and drink.
This is a beautiful hotel at the end of the strip. The hotel has huge rooms and well stocked mini bar. We had an all inclusive stay so the food, mini bar, and even room service was free. The pool was clean and the swim up bar was great.
Never left wanting. All inclusive was perfect. The pool was fantastic and the view was beautiful. Rooms are amazing but not every room has a jaccuzi on the balcony.
This is a beautiful new resort that is clean and has very friendly hotel staff, the front desk is helpful with exchanging currency, Internet and travel reservations. The rooms are great with spacious bathrooms, most of them have great views (I've stayed in 3 different types and seen a few others) even the back sides that face the graveyard don't have bad views and the graveyard is pretty cool in my opinion. Food is great and all the f&b staff are fun and attentive. Close to all the nightlife and shopping as well as golf cart rentals and activities are able to be booked right next door.
Privilege aluxes is obviously situated on prime real estate. On one side, is a scenic beach with white sand, inviting waves, a seemingly endless supply of beach chairs and a few beach beds (first come first serve). The attendants are friendly and most of them speak adequate English.
The food at the restaurant is actually quite good, putting a Mexican twist on American staples.
One thing I did not appreciate during my stay was my room. It was nice and included a huge bathroom and AC. HOWEVER, it was listed as a King bed, but in reality it was 2 twin beds pushed together. We could feel the Crack under our bed and there was a divot in our bedding when we slept. That left a bad taste in our mouths from an otherwise enjoyable weekend.
