Absolutely perfect place for couples and families. There is nowhere else in the world with a better location. The views are unreal. The food is great. The service is fantastic. We are now members of the Mia Club and we are so excited to keep visiting!

The room was clean but the bathroom was small and hard to maneuver in. The room doors don't seal and you can hear all noises made in the hallways. It's an affordable place so many visitors are spring breakers and they act like it. The staff doesn't speak English well so trying to get help about noise complaints at 2am doesn't get any results. Unfortunately, the last night we were there a smell started to seep into the bathroom through the toilet. Also we were trying to enjoy the sound of the waves on the back side of the resort but the smell of rotten trash was horrible. We couldn't even stand outside. We had to hold our breath and dash up the stairs to the inside! The taco bar on the beach was really good. We ate lunch there daily. The Grill had great burgers and wraps! The buffet was not all that. The food that the cooks prepared on the buffet while you waited was decent. All in all it was what we paid for, a 3 star vacation. The beach and water were amazing, after all its Mexico! Mia Reef has the potential to be a really fabulous resort if some time and money were put into it!

I traveled here with a group of 5 other friends (age 25) and we loved it! It's a smaller resort, but had everything we needed. Rooms were clean, drinks were strong, scenery was amazing, and best of all, staff was so friendly and made our experience memorable. Would highly recommend!

Family are loving it here. Beach and pool both favorites. Food choices and quality great. Something for everyone. Staff really set Mia Reef apart from other places. Everyone has done all they could to make sure each guest has a memorable stay. Some of the best sunrise vistas you can imagine.

Very friendly staff. They greet you right away and you will feel like royalty. The food is pretty okay - they offer a variety of options and have 3 restaurants with different specialties. The views on the north side of the hotel are breathtaking, and if you can request a room facing this side of the island, do it. My only complaint would be the room. It's very clean and modern, but the pillows are small and hard, no real comforter on the bed, and the TVs are very small.

Location is gorgeous! Our room was very nice and we had an amazing view of the ocean. We attended for a family wedding and it was a blast! Staff is very nice and accommodating. Would definitely go back for another visit!

Wonderfull .. they have their own bay. The best place to stay in Isla Mujeres. They aim to please in every posible level. The rate is fair, comfortable, neat, a lot of water activities and great service.

My partner and I loved all four days we stayed at Mia Reef. We loved the relaxing atmosphere, the food and the wonderful service. It definitely exceeded our expectations!

On my first trip there it was nice, a few issues with our reservations but once we got that sorted out, which took awhile it was nice rooms and views and good service. After leaving we made reservations for the next winter as well as joined their vacation club Since then we have been told our reservation were not there and then offered worse rooms that will not for us all at over double the rate and this was only after we had our credit card company contact them since they wouldn't answer any of our calls and emails. So we are now stuck without a reservation and in their club and they will not acknowledge any of our cancellations of it so out all of the money as well Would not recommend doing business with them. It has been over 7 months that they have been avoiding contacting us about any of our reservations despite having our money.

We planned a family vacation at the Mia reef through our time share and knew the costs of the all inclusive prior to arriving. When we arrived to check in the staff wanted a considerable amount more for the all inclusive fee I believe they feel like once there people will pay out of desperation. There is absolutely no parking. Lobby is not appealing. That's as far as we got. We left immediately after they wanted more than agreed upon. This left us running all over the place to find suitable accommodations in Cancun for the week.

MIA Reef is a great place to go and just relax and not have to worry about anything. It is a family oriented place with many activities offered. The food was good, the staff attentive and friendly. The turquoise water is so relaxing, the best vacation I've had in years.

The ocean, beaches and staff is amazing (except for the woman at the front desk)! The hotel itself is pretty run down & unkempt. And the house keeping in the rooms is pretty hit & miss, but the staff, beaches, and food more then make up for it. Also the advertisement that each room has an ocean view is not accurate (as we had a view of the roof). All in all, very beautiful & relaxing!! Oh and the massages are awesome!!

Beautiful, quiet location literally on the beach! Most of the staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms and hotel are pretty, clean and a good size but lack furniture and could use better repair. The only place to sit in our12 foot by 20 foot room was on the bed. There was only one night stand for the queen bed! No chairs, no small workspace or table for eating, writing or playing cards A maintenance and construction could be better . Nice design, poor execution. For example, the bathroom has a nice design, but thefaucet and showerhead are loose, and the bathroom door scrapes the floor when you open it. Overall I'm very happy to have come here. If they can better furnish and maintain the rooms, they can reach true excellence.

This is the best beach ever. It is shallow and goes out forever. We stayed in the villas facing King's bath and it was absolutely perfect. The food is fine. Breakfast was my least favorite selection. All inclusive was fantastic and the drinks were so yummy. It takes about 20 minutes between Mia and the ferry. There are lots of taxis for cheap. This place is worth it.

It's a paradise with turquoise water and plenty of room and umbrellas on the private beach with snorkeling right on the spot. Every room has perfect view, food is delicious with great seafood selection (tuna steaks, grilled jumbo shrimp, fish and shrimp taco on the beach made to order), coffee bar with specialty drinks, big selection of fresh fruits. Perfect Margarita made by Luis, great service by Ilse and staff. Downtown is 5 min away by walking. Can't wait to be back.

Overall, a fabulous place to go! For those who are familiar with amenities on the island, Mia Reef cannot be beat! Other than a few hiccups at the beginning, we had an excellent experience. The staff are awesome, food is great, daily and nightly entertainment is fun, the villas are clean with spectacular views (even with minimalist decor).
This was our second time to the island, so we knew what to expect and were very surprised with our excellent overall experience. Must things to do: rent a golf cart, go downtown for dinner/shopping/bar hopping, and ride around the island to see all the sights and feel the breeze.
My advice is to make your reservations directly with the hotel staff. Don't go through a third party. There was some mix up in our reservation since we booked with Expedia. The only other advice I have is to relax and go with the flow. Be realistic in your expectations and consider your destination when looking at luxurious amenities. Even with that being said, it was perfect for our 21st anniversary! We will be back as often as possible!response / report this review -

Such a great location with a very friendly and helpful staff that genuinely makes you feel welcomed, the perfect combination for a great vacation! I wasn't too concerned whether the bad reviews were going to be as big of issues for my friend and I because we were too satisfied with the price and being on the beach and then on top of that being all inclusive. However, I was beyond pleased once we crossed the fairy and entered onto the island. Even more so with the resort once we drove up and saw just how great it really was. Throughout our time here it has only gotten my opinion even higher! I recommend this location for those looking to enjoy themselves in a peaceful, relaxed, positively radiant setting with many activities and special amenities you can't find every where else.
