We have just returned from a 2 week all inclusive holiday and can not fault either the hotel, facilities or staff. The restaurant and food choice is amazing and first class for an all inclusive resort. Our 5 year old daughter went to the Bahia Scouts Kids Club and we can not thank the staff enough. She wanted to go every day and they did so many different activities, so Thank you Angie..you did a great job! We will definitely go back to this hotel, we had such a brilliant time.

Absolutely amazing! Arlequin was probably the most amazing lavish restaurant I have ever been to. They gave us a special cake & rose petals because it was our anniversary. The pool is absolutely perfect, as well. The swim up bar is so relaxing. Staff very kind. Would recommend 10/10

Just came back from Bahia Principe Akumal. Loved it!!! Food was amazing- like being in a 5 star restaurant every evening. Accommodations good beds could be bigger ..they were 3/4 bedsif anyone remembers that size! Service got better as the week went on. Definitely will return!!!

Great resort. Love the fact that you have 4 resorts in the same complex with its own transportation! The carts come very often and they each have their own route. They even take you to your villa. The staff is amazing very nice, great service all very friendly and willing to go the extra mile for you. Yolanda at the 24 hour snack bar in Akumal was amazing.
There are 2 things I do have to complain about. I don't like to be sweating while I'm trying to have dinner. I know I'm in Mexico but if I wanted to sweat I'll have my dinner outside. Those poor waiters and waitresses are sweating and they do not complain so big props to them because I couldn't take it (only in some restaurants thankfully) and secondly we were very surprise about the time they close the bars. The bars close at 11pm the resort is dead by 1130pm if you want to continue drinking you have to go to the club/disco which is at the Hacienda or to the snack bar however if you want to talk to your friends while having a drink the snack bar is the only place you can do that after 11. The disco you can't bring drinks outside (which I understand) so your hands are tide.
Otherwise great place will be going back with the kids next time so I'll be going to sleep early every night (haha).response / report this review -

Worst resort I stayed at. I don't know where to start. Got there on Wednesday. After about an hour we got our room. When we got to our room the TV did not work. We try calling the front desk and phone did not work. We went back to front desk to let them know about our TV and now the phone. When we got back to our room we noticed that there was a leak in the bathroom ceiling around the can light. We went back to the front desk, remember our phone didn't work. After explaining our situation they finally gave us another room but not until the next day. I try to explain to them that it was not safe but they were not concerned. I was told by front desk that they needed to know by 10am the next morning if I wanted the room. Not sure if he understood what I had just told him about how bad the room was. When we went back to the room we had to take a shower with no light, we use our cell phone light to take a shower. The next day I made sure I went back before 10am to let them know I wanted the room. He said to make sure we were out by 12pm and that our new room wouldn't be available until 3pm. So we were without a room from 12pm to 3pm. We finally got our room and the AC did not work. We called it in and it was not repaired until Saturday evening after we call for the 3rd time. It was an awful experience. Expedia has it rated as a 4.5 stars not even close. I give it a 3. Don't recommended.

Its pretty nice. The a lot of things are inclusive and you are always wondering whether you should go to the beach or the pool. The shows are pretty interesting. A lot of tropical animals can be found around the premise. The staff is very kind. I would suggest wearing a lot of sunscreen there are a lot of people that look like they had too much sun

I would not recommend this resort. The quality of service, food and drinks was very poor. The staff was not accommodating at all. We stayed here for a wedding we were attending. They made things very difficult for the bride and groom. They tried to make multiple changes to their agenda and would not accommodate their needs. As guests we had issues everyday we were there. It was obvious this resort is not about quality of service.

Resort itself was great. Pools were fabulous, the beach was great, service was generally friendly. A few things however disappointed. The rooms were nothing to write home about, they were clean and well kept, but their age showed. The AC struggles to keep the room cool, it ran constantly. Also we didn't get the minibar restocked like promised. Tipping also had no effect, I went through over $50 in singles over 2 days, I expected the staff to go out of their way for me, they didnt. The beach also had really gritty sand. You could tell it wasn't natural as the sand was only about 3" deep before it hit concrete, this was so even way out into the water. We also had a less than stellar experience at the two restaurants. They lost our reservation both times and struggled to find seating for us even though the place was less than half full. This is not to mention the struggle we had just to get the reservation in the first place. We arrived on Wednesday, and all of the restaurants were booked full for our entire stay, and you can't get a reservation until after you get your room. We had to get our travel agent to pull her weight to get reservations.

Perfect hotel. Great service. Customer is put in front. Excellent food. No hassle for tips. Beautiful structure. Only negative is the "exclusive club" who makes you believe you won something, but it's a time share trap

We enjoyed the Luxury Bahia Principe Akumal twice and Tulum once since the spring of 2014. Our son had a beautiful seaside wedding and we have made this resort our go to vacation spot. The people are genuine and professional. The service is outstanding. The rooms that we have had are spacious, clean and welcoming. The food is wonderful. The buffet has such a wide selection and the food is warm and fresh. The individual restaurants are wonderful. We usually walk the beach in the morning and spend the day at one of the many pools for the rest of the day. The best part is we are going back in just two weeks!
