Super beautiful and quiet. Perfect for a romantic getaway. Great service and food. Room was large, just a bit older than expected. Beaches were absolutely gorgeous.
Staff was scarce. Room a.c. went out. No front desk response. Inside resort area pool was nice but beach side pool was not maintained nor the quality for this type hotel. Not a single person used it. Not many beach chairs. Could've have rated much lower but on always thankful and grateful for opportunities to travel. The snorkeling here was great
Great resort! Friendly staff, good food. To be honest, I was nervous about staying here after I read some reviews online, but I'm so glad we went. We had a great time. We stayed in Sian Kaan (exclusive, adults only) I highly recommend staying in this section as you'll have access to many areas and restaurants that the rest of the resort can't access. There are beds along the beach and pool areas to relax and enjoy! If you are traveling as a family or choose to stay in the grand side of the resort, it is very nice as well. The resort is family friendly. It's a low-key resort; no crazy partying. There are lots of fun areas for kids to play, inflatables in the pool kids can climb, their own swim-up pool bar serving smoothies and, cutest of all, kids have their own kiddie-size loungers to lay next to mom and dad. The only downside is that the resort is almost 2 hours from the Cancun airport. Overall, I highly recommend staying here! We can't wait to go back!
First let me say the people were fantastic!
This place is like three resorts in one: Lite, Family and Quiet - so there is a "class system" that I did not care for.
My room was very clean but in great need of repair (1st room broken air conditioning, 2nd room broken shower).
Good food but long lines at every meal, every bar and the coffee bar.
Enjoyed the evening entertainment.
Really enjoyed the quiet pool and cabanas at Lite.
The hotel itself is smaller. It is right on the beach. The reception staff is very disorganized. We had to wait 2 hours before getting a room. It seems they either overbook rooms or they are not strict about having people leave promptly at the check out time. Our room was not ready because the occupants still had their belongings in the room long after check out time. We had an ocean view room. It was very lovely. From our huge glass window we could see the beach. We could lie in bed and see the beach. Cleaning of our room was done regularly and the mini bar was always stocked. There is only one dining room which is rather small for the number of guests. At every meal there was always a long line up. It seemed the same dishes were served just about everydaynot much variety. The beach has rocks which made it difficult to get into the water. Once you got past the rocks however, there are corals and fishes. You could have a massage if you choose. There are a few restaurants on sitemost of which are free of costs. The Mediterranean was my favorite. The food and service there is excellent. I personally will not go back to this resort. I have been to better ones in Mexico.
Very nice small all inclusive. Rooms are very nice. The bed is so comfortable. The shower is a little inconveniently designed, but hey I'm on vacation at a beautiful beach! Bartenders are great, staff is very nice and the food is pretty good.
This only got a star because it's the only way I could leave a post! This place was absolutely horrible. I've been to Mexico before and this was nothing like what I experienced before. The hostesses were rude and ignored you at the buffet. They tried to play like they didn't understand English but literally just had a full conversation in English with the previous visitor! When I checked into the front gate they didn't have my name on the list as a reservation (made that in September for a December stay and previously emailed the resort prior to arrival). When I got to my room my phone didn't work, they didn't have a tv remote in my room and the hot water at the resort didn't work on my first night there. On my second day I went on an all day excursion (left at 8 am and returned around 430pm) and my room hadn't been cleaned by room service yet but they replenished my water bottles! I literally had to walk down to the guy and ask if my room had been cleaned, he lied and said yes, I told him he hadn't but then said give him 10 minutes and he would come clean it. On my birthday night (Dec18th) I made reservations at the Cocoa restaurant on the resort and the wait staff for me ignored me continually. I was there for a 7pm reservation and did not leave until 9pm because it took so long to bring out 3 courses. I saw two parties of more than 2 people come in and be seated, have 3-4 courses and leave before I did. This place was just a bad experience all around. Thank goodness all I needed it for was a place to lay my head but I would have rather enjoyed it for more than that. I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE. Also many many renovations going on which wake you up in the early hours of the morning, bad smells all the time, moist rooms due to bad ventilation (my clothes that were left outside of drawers or my suitcase smelled like mildew when I left), spiders (huge) were in my room on the last night and it took forever for someone to come assist (don't like spiders!!!!) The spa is being renovated so they converted a regular small standard room which was unappealing but the massage itself was mediocre. The pools always had dead bugs in them (grasshoppers which should clearly be able to hop out and not die) so I assume the chlorine levels were way too high JUST DON'T GO IF YOU CAN AVOID IT!!!
Great value, great staff, great food, great activities. You can be very active OR simply lay in a lounge chair all day sipping a mojito. If you want a 5 star hotel, go somewhere else, if you want the things I said above, go to Grand Oasis Tulum. Awesome.
Great Staff, super friendly- very quiet. If you are busy businessperson wanting to get away somewhere without kids screaming everywhere. This is the place. Our time so far has been very pleasant we were looking for a Oceanside room with a view and were not disappointed. Our room is literally about 10 yards from the water, you can even sit in a Jacuzzi open the drapes and enjoy the view with floor to ceiling windows. Many places here are 18+ so you can be confident that you will have a quiet time (I am sure depending on the season this may not be the case) The airport is just about an hour away by car, and there are many ruins and tours available. The beachfront has plenty of lifeguards and is well cleaned. The bars make good drinks that are expertly mixed. We are pleased, just remember this is not a party place- its totally a place to grab your e-reader and listen to the waves. Or to simply float in the ocean and enjoy the serenity.
I got married here! My guests loved it as much as we did and brought their families and loved ones. The feedback from everyone was that they adored the location right on the beach, the attentive staff, the variety of restaurants and activities (there was a circus with acrobats and dancers right there on site!), the proximity to tourist attractions and recreational activities like deep sea fishing and snorkeling in all the amazing cenotes and the tours of ancient ruins. Of course the staff (Israel and Stefania were the best, but also the chef who let us serve the fish we caught at our rehearsal dinner) were so kind to us but also so helpful to all the guests. The views were unbeatable and the expansive grounds were perfectly maintained I hope we'll be back soon!
