If you're sitting there comparing this resort with others in the area (like we did), pick this one! I can tell you it is the best. Beautiful, unique, contemporary resort with friendly, helpful, generous staff. Every restaurant (even poolside food) is delicious-- this is not typical boring all-inclusive food. And the attention to detail at this place-- in service, functionality, and design-- is absolutely breathtaking. Whoever planned this thought of EVERYTHINGSpecial shout out to: NORMA VASQUEZ, who made our 5 year anniversary stay extra special; Enrique for being the most attentive and thoughtful guy at the pool; Sergio for keeping the pool fun and making us feel like family and not just guests; Emilia for helping us with anything and everything and coordinating thoughtful surprises for both my husband's birthday and our anniversary.

This is a lovely resort, highly recommended it for those that want the perfect blend of luxury mixed with adventure. When they say it's an all inclusive resort, they really mean it. You only pay a service fee of 20% so something that would have cost you $100 you are now only paying $20. The all day unlimited room service is beyond amazing, they also will change meals to fit your dietary restrictions which is a huge plus. Our local Host Emilia was the sweetest, she would assist us with anything we needed and truly would go above and beyond. Having a local host is like having a guide to the city as will as an inside person to the resort, who can really get you anything you responsibly ask for. However, I did this trip with a friend of mine and I truly believe it's more of a couples get away. Everything just felt so romantic and very high end. All and all I'd come back and I would highly recommend this resort. The food was amazing and this is coming from a vegetarian.

Unbelievable Resort! It is seriously clean and luxurious. It is worth every dime. You will not be making a mistake if you pick this place. So far we've only been here 3 days but the food is excellent, the beaches are clean, the pools are immaculate and the service is second to none. Every staff member here is courteous and greets you with a smile 24 hours a day. Our in-house counselor Gaby was extremely helpful and arranging our excursions, appointments and any other activities we wanted to partake in. We already planning to come back here next year and we're not even halfway through our vacation! By far the best all-inclusive we've ever been to!

Definitely one of the top hotels we stayed in the area the service was really good. There Beach is really nice although kind of small and Rocky in the water. Definitely some of the best all-inclusive food we have ever eaten at a hotel down there. There are three great restaurants to choose for dinner but make sure you make reservations early in the day. And there are bars everywhere and services fast and friendly. we absolutely loved are staying can't wait to go back as it is also well situated next to many attractions. took us about a full hour to get to the airport

Amazing resort! Service is seriously genuine. The resort is sparkling clean, even the bathrooms by the pools were impeccably clean and well kept despite how many people were in and out all day. I am a room snob and our room was fabulous! 90% of the food was well above average and the drinks were all on point. Not watered down as most all inclusive resorts came be. Resort is secure, never felt unsafe. If I could change anything I would say they should add a few more restaurants and food choices. We stayed 5 nights but if someone were there longer than a week, you may want to venture out. Go and Enjoy!

We've had an amazing holiday here. Really good service. All three restaurants have good options on the menu. The food and drinks throughout the day are really premium and fresh. There are so many staff around making sure you're looked after, we feel very spoiled. The beach is nice too but we haven't spent much time there as we have such great facilities on solid ground. The 24hr rooms service and minibar options are good too. The spa and gym are great and daily activities are fun! We recommend this place for couples as it is a little boring for singles such as we were. The resort is new and not popular yet with single people. Staff couldn't be more helpful. European visitors be prepared to tip everyone daily. Small amounts go a long way.

We stayed here on our Honeymoon and it was fantastic. The staff is all great. The decor, feel, architecture of the whole place is amazing. All the restaurants were delicious. The spa was terrific. And the whole place smelled so good. Our room was really nice. We had a plunge pool off our back patio which was great. The staff would do nice touches to make the stay even more enjoyable. I'd highly recommend the Unico.

The UNICO Resort in Riviera Maya is a top notch all inclusive place. Anything needed was available. If a restaurant was closed for the evening, you just called room service and in approximately 30 minutes, it was delivered hot to the room. At the various pools, their waiters brought you whatever you wanted, food or drink. The morning buffet was unbelievable. I have never seen so many choices on what to eat. The fruits were tasty and cut in decent slices, and it was all fresh and tasty.

Terrific all inclusive! Staff is super friendly and goes out of their way to ensure high service level. Food is better quality and rooms are really comfortable. Local host takes care of all of your requests. Great resort for a quiet vacation. Overall, best resort we've stayed in.

This is one of the best all inclusive resorts I have been to. The food is far and above any resort and the service was awesome too. The beach wasn't that big and a little rocky right in front of the resort but I knew that going in. Don't let that be a deal breaker if your a beach person. If you go to the North end of the beach you can get in the water with no problem. I went out to neck deep and never hit a rock. They also have 2 stands on the beach to get drinks from and a server came by often to ask if you needed anything.

Food
The buffet 20°87
Note they r not 24 hr so breakfast they closed around 11am after you can either call room dinning or pizza at one of the bar. Lunch starts 12:30pm and ends 5pm. Then later dinner. Food are excellent! Corn cream soup yum! Steaks are good!
The Italian restaurant has the best best service among all restaurant I love all of the stuffs in there! A must booked! Food is so good especially the tenderloin and mushroom cappuccino! Tasty special pasta too! Always good to ask Waiter' favorite food.
Japanese restaurant
They have this special teppanyaki room with the special chef performing teppanyaki you have to ask when you make your reservation. Noone told us nor introduce to us we find out ourselves so we went the second time. It has fixed menu so if you like to try the Sushi and yakitori then maybe one time teppanyaki room and one time just try the other food :) great experience nice Sushi bar chef!
Mexican restaurant
The food is yummy! The recommendation of the front desk lady were so good!
Recommended all restaurant but I have to say Italian restaurant is the best and has the best environment and service! Their waiters has great sense of humour and their captain is super super nice!
In room dining is soooo good! Great food tenderloin and salmon is out of this world lol. An hour wait for the food is worth it!
Spa
I did signature spa and manicure plus pedicure the service is very good. Spa is comfortable and I like manicure and pedicure service. Tho I wish they have more color choice I think if I know I prob bring my own nail polish
Excertions
We did the dolphin swim which we leave hotel at 8:25 and back 12:30. It is a great experience not too long which is good if you like to have something that are fun but not too tired like 6 hours hike.Or whole day excertion tho I wish the hotel tell us we need to bring 300+ cash if we want our video or more add on dolphin swim options and bring a towerAnd not wearing sunscreen etc. But photos u can order online later so it's all good!
Room service
Excellent service! And in-room dinner too love love them! And the phone service. I love the housekeeping service here! Love love!
Local host
One suggestion is if local host is that busy you never can get a hold of him then the hotel should open up the option which you can book through stuff without having to go through local host. OR make them the first tour guy so we can get to know them. We made alot efforts to find him but after the third day we bump into him often and start to get help and get to know him which is great tho takes effort and realized they do see ur request online hopefully like they say is miscommunication.
Other than the 'miscomunication' of the local host system. All device are excellent plus the food and the stuff at pools and beach! Excellent vacation the hotel provided! Recommended!response / report this review -

From the moment you arrive to the moment you checkout, you are treated like the most important guest. Loved picking the scent for your room. It was intoxicating. Food, drinks, and the resort were absolutely beautiful. The staff was friendly and very helpful. I can't wait to return!

We were there last week for our honeymoon. Angelique welcomed us and was extremely professional and very helpful.. better than our so called Butler who was useless. Alex (and Monica) at the vacation makers was awesome and booked all our excursions and spa services. We would have loved to have been able to book more services but literally upon arrival the week was almost full due to there only being 18 rooms. The spa services were excellent and a must to do! But I suggest you schedule before your trip. The restaurants we're like eating at Top Chef with very tasty food and beautiful presentation. One of the best all inclusive menus I have seen. Daniel, the waiter at the Mexican restaurant was excellent. ( Not typical Mexican food but excellent all the way). The Japanese restaurant was so good. One of the waiters at the japaneese restaurant was going to school to be a lawyer, I forget his name but I think he was the best waiter I have EVER had. We loved those two restaurants the best. The gym was state of art and had a personal trainer at all times and classes were available. The rooms were beautiful and always fully stocked with drinks and snacks. The coffee bar lacked a good cup of cofee..maybe they can take some lessons from Starbucks or at least flavored creamer. The smoothies were really good and all the pastry was devine. The lobby was freezing so bring a sweater. Overall we loved our time there.. it is definitely for those who want intimate dining and relaxation.

If you want the perfect resort to relax and enjoy, this is it! The rooms (a Jacuzzi in every balcony or lounge chairs and steps into private pools for first floor rooms), the ambiance, the staff, the food, everything is designed for your total relaxation, pampering and enjoyment. Can't wait to go back!
