There are two hotel buildings at this resort. The Colonial/Kantena and the WhiteSands/TRS. The two are pretty much identical, with identical pools. We found the White Sands pool to be really quiet and empty, and this was Easter week. So it's only a 10 minute walk, check out the White Sands pool. Or take one of the frequent golf cart shuttles. One of them looks like a train, which is cute. The specialty restaurants are shared between the two hotels, so you'll probably visit both hotels regardless. Even better, their attention to food allergies is superb! On arrival, we were given a card to wave, saying 'nut allergy' in English and Spanish. They had various cards for different allergies. And the staff were all familiar with what was safe and what wasn't. The head waiter at the Brazilian restaurant was probably the most attentive restaurant person I've ever met on this subject. Very impressed. The only downside to the restaurants would be that on the last day my wife and I came down with Montezunas revenge (first time I have been sick in thirty years of international travel) and still have it a week later. The staff are uniformly superb! Everyone is very friendly and happy to help. They reminded me of Disney staff as they all seemed happy to be there. The bedrooms are great with superb showers. I would highly recommend this resort and staff.

Read this!!!! I have done a lot of homework when trying to find the best resort at the best price - and THIS IS IT! This place is just BEAUTIFUL, welcoming, reach with options and activities and food options are just unreal. All inclusive for real!
With that, prepare to walk a LOT as it is huge hotel (3 different hotels together) also note that there are no elevators in the buildings so if that is a challenge make sure to ask for a room on the ground floor.
Lastly, do not book activities with the hotel - much more expensive and wait for promotion at the hotels spa.

Our trip has been fantastic! The Smile Services are great and really did make us smile. Highly recommend staying for a special occasion as they do take it to the next level.

Loved Our Stay! Went for an all girls trip (July 2016), people at the resort were so nice. We had a fabulous time, rooms were huge and clean, beach was amazing, whole place was a knock out. I don't have any complaints (except maybe I Wish we stayed longer)

I've been to other resorts before in Mexico and Cuba, this is the best! I loved it so much I'm going back to get married at Grand Palladium June 2018

Never stayed at this particular hotel but have had access to it's facilities when staying at the colonial nearby. The lobby is very nice and recently refurbished complete with a bar and several restaurants. The main pool is very large with more than one bar and there is also and adult pool. Overall a very good hotel inline with the colonial and kantenah.

A solid all inclusive. Nice pools. A lot of beach. Great in early September because there are less people. It definitely gets busy during the summer! The drinks and food are plentiful. Don't go expecting fine start cuisine, but do go expecting good food with a lot of variety.

I got married on the beach and it exceeded all my expectations. No detail was missed and many more came as a pleasant surprise. Having travelled extensively, I will say without hesitation this vacation is the best experience I've ever had. Would I come again? ABSOLUTELY! Quick thanks to all of the staff I've never seen such hard work and smiles while they bend over backwards trying to ensure our every need is exceeded. I only wish there were less Europeans here as they are the rudest most pretentious low class humans to ever exist Specifically the Spanish!

The place is beautiful and we'll decorated as well as well staffed. Service is great. We went to eat at the Brazillian restaurant there and had a good time. They aim to recreate authentic Brazillian restaurant feeling and they do it well.

The resort is beautiful and built in to the jungle. Lots of local wildlife wander the resort. The staff are wonderful and take care of your every need. Great selection of restaurants and bars. Would definitely come back again.

We loved this place. The resort is beautiful, the rooms were nice and for the most part the staff was very accommodating. The resort is very large and sprawling but they have trams that take you wherever you want to go. The only problem we had was that they don't seem to understand what the word "reservation" means. We were there as part of a large group for my daughter's wedding. We reserved our rooms more than a year in advance so we could have the group together in one location on the immense complex. We also set up special requests for king-size beds and two double beds depending on the requirements of the wedding guests. When we got there some of the bridesmaids and quests were placed completely on the other side of the complex and had to be bused on trams to the rehearsals, dinners and other get-togethers. The bed accommodations were also not as requested so we had to trade rooms among ourselves to accommodate our needs which then created other problems when calling the front desk to find out who was in what room. The wedding coordinator was fantastic and the wedding went off without a glitch but the lack of care with the reservations and the attitude of "tough luck" among the front desk staff will not be forgotten.
