The staff was very friendly, and the hotel overall had a pleasant appearance. We choose the small room, and it was very small, indeed. Not a lot of room, but it didn't matter much since we were out exploring Playa for the majority of the time. The bathroom was small as well, and it felt cramped, but it was acceptable, especially for the price and proximity to everything there in downtown.

What I liked the most is that there was always a smile for you in the entrance and it's a cosy place. What really needs to be taken care of its the high level of humidity that gets trapped in the room due to location. Ah location is great! a few steps from the beach and shopping/ bar scene.

Close to beach with beach affiliation. Quite, but almost on 5th street. Clean rooms. Great shower with hot, strong pressure water. Cute balcony for sitting. Helpful staff. Comfortable bed.

This place exceeded my expectations. I had been a little stressed out before the vacation and was slightly rude to the owner when I called thinking had made a mistake charging my card. *the mistake was from my bank. However the owner was more than gracious and polite and made me feel extremely comfortable. They kept reasonably priced items in the room that you could purchase including cigarettes which I found extremely kind. The front desk staff was always extremely helpful and finding restaurants and letting me know where I can find places in town. Never had in a single issue here the rooftop patio is amazing and the staff is well worth coming.
This place save my vacation as I just paid over $500 to stay at the Grand Riviera princess resort for 2 days and had a horrible experience. I can honestly say this place turned it around for me..
You're one block from the beach and it's hard to call that a block. It's probably easier to say your Maybe 50 ft from the beach.
I stayed in the two story room that had a view of the garden. Magnificent!!!response / report this review -

Great service. Friendly staff. Steps from the beach, shopping district and clubs. The rooms are simple, chic and comfortable. The whole place has a cool Swiss family Robinson look with old growth vegetation intertwined with the buildings. All and all we had a great experience here and would definitely stay here again.

Loved this place, and Ive stayed at many along Playa. Kinbe is a great value for a nice stay with a fantastic location. Will stay again here for sure, next time I am in PDC.

Great hotel next to all the bars and restaurants and 1 min from the sea. Everyone was very polite to us - even upgraded our room. Beautiful room and a nice but small swimming pool.

Location was excellent. Right off 5th Ave and close to beach.
Staff was very helpful and friendly.
One comment is that the room was a bit musty, due to lack of fan in washroom. Need to run the dehumidifier to dry it out a bit.

The hotel is quiet and the atmosphere remembers the old playa del carmen, is well located at 1 minute from the beach and has an agreement with a beach club so you won't spend a lot to stay in the beach

Really overselling what they have. The room was so tiny we could barely fit a luggage. The "roof terrace" is a small area with cheap chairs, no water, nothing. They advertised that we could go to a nearby beach club for the chairs and once we got there they said we still had to pay a fee.
Ran out of water and the weather was nice the whole time. Good AC and good wifi and nice private balcony. Comfy bed. Awesome location. Beautiful hotel.
Really disappointed. We tried 3 hotels on the same trip in the same area and this was the most unpleasant.response / report this review -

Great hotel and location v, very nice stuff. I recommend to upgrade to the "pool view" rooms, more quite and has beautiful balconies with a pool view.
The only downsides are the water in the showers, sometimes cold sometimes hot..and a poor wifi connection, but it's common in Playa besides that we enjoyed it very much!response / report this review
