The people at secrets were amazing and the resort was nice. One caution is they will try to get you to sit in on what they call a 60 to 90 minute discussion about the resort. If you choose to do this know that they will keep you at least 3 hours and pretty much take up your whole day which is not something I want on my vacation. I did not appreciate that at all. There is a big difference between 60 to 90 minutes and three to four hours

The resort is a very nice, but it lacks the appeal to be classified as a 5 star resort. The quality of the food is just adequate. The rooms need updating and maintenance. The grounds and pool area are very well maintained. The beach is absolutely beautiful. Most of the staff are welcoming and pleasant.

Our honeymoon vacation was perfect! Dives were crazy amazing and affordable! Food was so good. This is hands down the best vacation that I've ever had. The alcohol here was the "good stuff". Our rooms were amazing clean every day and we had a great view of the beach. I want to go back to that same place because of our awesome experience!

We just returned from a visit to Secrets Aura – what a fantastic week we had. The food was varied and delicious, especially the breakfast buffet at the Market every morning. The lady at the omelet bar did an outstanding job keeping up with the demand of custom omelets for everyone. Anything you could possibly want for breakfast could be found there. We tried most of the other restaurants on the property at Secrets and Sunscape with equally satisfying results. The staff was all amazing (This included everyone we encountered from front desk, maid service, servers, bartenders, entertainment and maintenance.) If you needed anything they were prompt at responding. Calling out specific individuals would be Javier in entertainment and bartenders at the Manatee bar. They went above and beyond to make our stay special. Our standard room was nice but not lavish. The bed and pillows were the only thing I would rate less than a 5. They were a little warn out. We stayed at the same resort 2 years ago and are already planning our next visit again in two years.

Lovely spot, perfect for a romantic getaway. We spent a week as part of a wedding party. Nice swim-up room with private pool. Very secluded. Try all the restaurants, they vary a lot in menu and presentation/atmosphere. I especially enjoyed the spa water treatment and massage.

Loved the resort, food was very horrible. but for all inclusive what would you expect??? lol Rooms were very clean and modern we loved our upgraded room and all that it offered for the view!
I would go back, but eat off the resort more often! the outside food places were absolutely to DIE for!!!

Nice hotel but is a little worn and not up to the Secret's standard. Entertainment team was rarely around and not sure what was going on half the time. Place is clean and the gardens are nice. Food is average. Buffet is not very big or good. great views from the Sky bar. 2 very nice tennis courts on site including a clay one for an additional cost.

The room we had was amazing. Very big, amazing view and very well kept. The food on the other hand. Terrible! The service at the restaurant was terrible and the food tasted like it came from a can. Some food even tasted "off". Beautifully kept and clean resort. They really just need to do something about the cuisine.

Arrived for our honeymoon. Originally booked a swim out suite, but they said it was overbooked on our arrival, and they upgraded us to a second (top) floor suite, which was a preferred suite, added a 50 minute couples massage with an hour of the hydro therapy circuit, and a few other small but appreciated perks. There is the occasional sewage smell, but nothing over powering and it never lingered. The food won't blow you away, but it's very fresh and relies on the natural flavors of the ingredients rather than additional salt and sauces, so we actually enjoyed it much more than the restaurants back in California. There were not many people there crowding the beaches or bars or restaurants and it wasn't overly loud at any point. Very relaxing and peaceful, and we met quite a few people just hanging out or walking around. We will definitely be returning here soon.

Best all inclusive resort I've stayed in. Everything was beautiful, clean, relaxing and the food and drinks were top notch! No need to wear wristbands and no reservations needed at any of the upscale, high quality restaurants. Also not very crowded. I would recommend a bottom floor room, since a lot of those have balconies that go straight into the pool! Highly recommended!

Mosquito heaven.
Room service is hit or miss. You may or may not get your food how your ordered it, or even get the same meal two days in a row. Rooms are standard for a getaway like this, nice but dated. Most of the staff is very accommodating, and polite. In summary this is an ok resort, but not a venue I will be coming back to.

AMAZING!!! We stayed in room 212. We heard from other guests, that their rooms, were less than acceptable not our room!! It was perfect! Staff is great, food was great (we ate at the market most days). PSA- when you get off the plane in Cozumel, if you need a ride to your hotel, IGNORE EVERYONE when heading outside, STOP AT LAST WINDOW ON THE LEFT that's where you can purchase a REAL ticket for a ride to your hotel. But, Secrets is amazing!! And adults only 😉 So nice!

My fiancee and I just got back from a trip this week, and I couldn't wait to write this review. We did quite a bit of research, and read all the reviews, a lot of which were not favorable. I'm not sure what hotel the people who gave negative reviews stayed at, but I know it couldn't have been Secrets Aura Cozumel. We had an absolute fantastic time from start to finish. The room and grounds were super clean, the staff, all of them, were so wonderful. My favorite is Alicia, our daily housekeeper. I loved seeing her smiling face every day, and she always took great care of us. Our mini-bar was always stocked to almost overflowing. The view from our room was even better than the view from the Sky Bar, simply because all we had to do was sit on our oversized balcony to see it. The spa was second to none. I've been to spas all over the world, and this one was the best by far. I can't wait to go back. One thing you will want to do is bring water shoes, as the beach entry is a tad rocky, but once you get a few feet in the water, it's fine. Also, you'll definitely want to take a walk on the pier. Lots of beautiful fish to see.

My wife and I have traveled all over the globe and have received tremendous service wherever we go, but never have we experienced the level and quality of service that we have at Secrets Aura in Cozumel. It is simply spectacular. We decided to visit Cozumel for our birthday (same birthday!) and we landed on Secrets Aura after reading some reviews and looking at photos.

The moment we arrived we were treated with the most kind and warm nature from the staff that we've ever experienced. Together, we had decided to upgrade to the "preferred club" which gives us an awe inspiring ground floor view of the crystal blue ocean. Despite having a perfect room, it wasn't until we visited the restaurants that we would come to understand just how superb our experience would be. In particular, the Market Cafe is hosted and run by some of the most friendly and gracious people you'll ever meet. Our expectations were exceeded beyond even the wonderful service we had already been enjoying when we met a wonderfully kind man named Jorge Navarro whom we repeatedly came back to visit.

We quickly established a friendship with Jorge. He is no ordinary server or waiter. He is a bonified superstar and you can see in his work that he really loves what he does. Despite my wife and I conspiring to persuade Jorge to come back with us to the USA (in a playful manner of course), he was so gracious you could see that there would be no consideration to the idea because he is fully engaged in his role at Secrets Aura. Jorge needs to be my best friend. He needed to be the best man at my wedding. Jorge is all that is good in the world. An old soul. He has no idea I'm writing all this about him and the myriad of drinks may be contributing to the colorfulness of this review, but rest assured he and the staff at Market Cafe in Secrets Aura is the real deal. If there were one reason to come back to Secrets Aura every year it would be for this incredible team.

When leaving the resort to go sightseeing, TAKE A RIGHT out of the gates, as that heads you south to go to the little ocean bars and what notit ultimately circles the island and puts you back into Cozumel to go shopping to finish your day. GOOD LUCK and have fun

Excellent Friendly Staff, Presentation and food quality very good. I would not consider it upscale except perhaps the preferred members area. Main entrance and lobby dated but clean. Our room was clean and had great view but was tired for example bathroom fixtures corroded, toilet seat loose and mounting bolts all rusted over. Shower head sprayed every direction often poor or no hot water . Most issues were just basic maintenance .Bed very comfortable. Great snorkeling, nice beach, amazing gardens.
Shares Gym and spa with sister resort next to it which is not adult only but quite nice.
Best bar the Skybar on roof closed at 10.
Disco seemed more like a sports bar without pool tables

If your looking for wild night life this may not be the place for you it was pretty quiet after 11.
