We booked these people for a cruise excursion. They were late at their destination and then they told us to wait and then took off and left us sitting there saying someone would come back and no one did. We just stopped another guide in a matching shirt and said we got left. Then they didn't have enough jeeps. We had also contacted them prior to for what we wanted to do on our tour, what drinks we wanted, etc none of it was done in advance, so we had to waste even more time getting it prepared. Then it wasn't a jeep, it was a car they had to rent at the last second because they booked too many people. It was supposed to be a private customizable tour, everywhere we said we wanted to go, the guide said, nope not enough time. We had 0 time to eat the food and only 30 minutes in the water snorkeling which was the most important to us, because our tour guide made us go to other places we didn't even want to go to. Do yourself a favor and rent a car and do it yourself, it'd be a LOT cheaper and you'd get more time instead of waiting on these jokers. They have also never responded to my complaints, so I did try to give them a chance to fix this privately before giving a bad review.
We had a great time! The tour and service was great. We will definitely do it again.
I would definitely not recommend. Our Jeep was in very bad condition. The “boss” originally put us in a Jeep without a top when it was raining and storming. I refused to ride in it and was put in a Jeep with holes in the seats and floorboard. The water and mud on the road came up thru the floor and my shoes and clothing were wet and muddy. The beach was rocky and very few people were there. The toilets leaked urine and would not flush. The meal was chicken which was not hot. Very disappointing. We did not get to snorkel due to storms which led us to the ship around noon. $69 for 2.5 hours were not worth it. Recommend getting taxi and let them
Show you around.
Cozumel Cruise Excursions offered a fabulous jeep tour package and Carlos, our driver, fulfilled all of our wishes for the day. He picked us up right around the corner from our cruise ship. When hoped in, he told us that he was going to bring us back to the company to pick up the cooler and meet John the owner. I was really impressed with the care they took to ensure a great trip. John loaded a cooler with beer and water into the back of the jeep. We were off! First stop, the tequila farm. We were treated like we were the only people in the place. After showing us how tequila was made, they gave us some samples. I never knew you could flavor tequila. We bought a couple of bottles. I wish we had bought more! Next, Carlos drove us around the "real" Cozumel, showing us the school, shopping center, and local businesses. Then out to the ocean. We made a few stops at look outs. We explored everything. We had a whole day! Then we drove into the park, where we saw the Inca ruins, looked for alligators and climbed to the top of the light house. Having a personal driver and only one jeep was great. As we were getting ready to leave, a line of 8 jeeps pulled in. I would have hated waiting on everyone to get there, etc. We ate at a private beach club. I was really surprised when Carlos switched into his bathing suit and took us snorkeling. He picked up different things off the bottom and brought them up for us to see. Unfortunately, it was our time to head back to the ship. We spent 5-6 hours with Carlos. It was wonderful! If I ever make it back to Cozumel, I will do this again!!!! At the end of the tour, my husband was expecting a big bill for all of the extras, but nope! It was all included!!!
We had a bad experience with a ship's excursion in another port so we wanted to venture out on our own booking for Cozumel. So glad we found Cozumel Cruise Excursions. We liked that we got our own Jeep or the two of us. The ship's excursion makes you go four to a Jeep and see the sights in caravan style.
This was a personalized trip that you could spend more or less time wherever you went and had that added bonus of a private guide. Our guide gave us recommendations but ultimately we could do whatever we wanted for the 5 hours.
Our guide was Mirasol, she was awesome and her English was very good. Easy to find the meeting spot right outside the cruise port and they were quick on email communication and on time at our meeting spot. We let her drive once we got out of the taxi zone so we could take in the sights.
This was a spectacular day as we did the private jeep tour! It was nice being able to enjoy an excursion without others in larger groups. Our tour guide Jared was very knowledgeable and shared some information about the island with us.
We were taking a ferry into Cozumel for the day and decided to book a private dune buggy tour. Best decision ever Carlos picked us up at the ferry and took us around the Island to see some of the sights. He was very informative and a great guide. We had an awesome day and this was by far the best day of our vacation. I would recommend this tour to anyone looking for a fun filled day in Cozumel and if possible ask for Carlos!!!!
Instead of booking an excursion through our cruise ship I decided to take a chance and book this private tour. Our experience was amazing. Ernie was our tour guide and he spoke very well English and was very knowledgeable. We did the tequila tour, drove to the beach and the park preserve. The whole time Ernie kept us entertained (he also provided us with beer and water). We made plenty of stops to sight see and swim in the ocean. We were not disappointed. The tour took about 5 hours or so. If you take the tour ask to stop at a place called Welcome to Miami, it has the best mojito in Cozumel.
I had a nice snorkeling trip with Cozumel Cruise Excursions. The weather wasnt the best that day, but the lady in charge explained to us that its much wind and El Cielo wont be like on the pictures. She didnt knew if it was possible for the boat to visit El Cielo that day, but they would like to try and asked if it was okay for us. We could always go snorkeling an another place. We were a small group of just 11 people and we stepped by the reefs Palancar and Colombia before we got to El Cielo. It was very nice even when it was a bit windy. I got to see Barracuda, Stingray, starfish and a lot of other fish. The guide in the boat was trying to make it a good experience for everybody. He showed us fish, gave food to the fish so they was swimming around us and gave life jackets to the people who wanted it. We also got drinks, chips with guacamole and pine apple on the boat as snacks. Thank you for a nice snorkeling trip!
My husband and I went on the dune buggy tour with our guide, Poncho. We had such an amazing time! Poncho was very knowledgeable and made sure we saw everything we wanted to see. The mojitis and guacamole were the best we've ever had! The lighthouse and views were to die for, we got lots of great pics. The tequila tasting was full of information and great new flavors (ask for Christian). We highly recommend this tour for first time visitors looking to see and learn as much about Cozumel in the limited time you have on the island. Worth every penny!
We had 7 of us in two jeeps. Jorge and Miguel were our guides and they were awesome. We snorkelled last so our first stop was the beach (not tequila drinkers). We arrived at the beach in solitude. There was not another person on the beach for 45 minutes. Ruins were great, snorkeling was good the coral was good but not marvelous. Lunch was delicious. I would definitely do this again.
We did the dune buggy tour and We had so much fun- what a fantastic tour! Gizmo was our tour guide and we absolutely loved him! We will definitely ask for him again when we come back with the kids. The dune buggy is old and the gears are very tricky. Had a lot of trouble getting it into first gear but we found that to be fun and something we enjoyed laughing at. There is no better way to see the island with your hair blowing in the wind and the ability to see how gorgeous this place is. Snorkeling was fantastic and Gozmo guided us around to see some great fish. Had the most breath taking view from the lighthouse. Lunch was really good! Will definitely use this company again when we go back in January! Thank you Gozmo for such a memorable day!!!
This was a great excursion for our family of 5. The snorkeling was really the highlight of our outing. We had fun driving the jeep around the island while our tour guide, Alberto, was escorting us. He did offer us plenty of cold beverages and opportunities to take scenic photos along the beautiful shoreline of Cozumel. We unexpectedly had a photographer taking snorkeling photos and asked for $35 (42 photos on a CD). Initially we said no but later on the tour we offered $25 and the offer was accepted. (We probably could've offered less!) The lunch was provided at a beautiful, seaside restaurant location. The fajitas were really good, but drinks are not included and we did pay an extra $11 for guacamole, salsa and chips. I would recommend Cozumel Cruise Excursions to plan your outing!
