Did a cenote dive in Dos Ojos. Was all in all a great experience. Hector has a ton of knowledge about the area and the dive sites, which added a lot value to our trip. We recommend him highly!

We did AOW course and bullshark diving with them. The owner Hector was quick with replies and gave us a good deal. Instructor Steve was knowledgeable, with good teaching skills and kind. We highly recommend The Scuba Tribe and we'll do cenotes with them in a couple of days when we return to PdC.

I got into scuba diving earlier this year while in Indonesia. I took my AOW in Thailand, and then went on to do some diving in France and Italy. My round-the-world trip was starting to wind down, but I had a few months left to kill. I decided to spend a month in Playa Del Carmen for some diving. After shopping around for the right shop, I stumbled onto The Scuba Tribe and reached out to Hector. Hector is a great guy who is very professional, genuine, and personable. Through The Scuba Tribe, I experienced my most unique and big-scale diving to date, whether it was drifting through finger reefs and wrecks in Playa (we saw a manta!), plunking into the chilly, mysterious waters of the Yucatan's many cenotes - The Scuba Tribe's specialty, or floating along and through the incomparable walls of Cozumel's reefs. Hector joined me for many of my dives, and together we got a lot of great underwater footage and had a great time! I enjoyed myself so much that I stayed an extra 2 weeks in Playa! His rate was the best I could find, and for the service provided, it's invaluable. I can't possibly imagine how he could maintain this level of personal service as The Scuba Tribe inevitably scales (although I have faith he will manage), so I fully recommend taking advantage of this great experience immediately. Much love to Hector, Steve, Gustavo, and everyone else we dove with. When I return, I'm a diehard fan and will only dive with The Scuba Tribe!

We did our first REAL dive with Hector. I can't say enough positive things about him and the shop. It was my wife and two girls, and another friend of ours a few years ago. I can't wait to get back and do some cenotes. Thanks Hector.

To set the stage, I am a careless diving enthusiast and just want to do anything cool and exciting (regardless if I am allowed or certified to do so). My boyfriend who is a very safe and responsible diver who felt in "love" with Hector at first sight. My bf likes to research things to no end. He spent our first day in Playa Del Carmen researching which dive shop to go to. 2 hours later, I was exhausted and angry, finally he found THE SCUBA TRIBE. I was relieved he found anything at all!

At the end of our 4th dive with Hector, my bf and I both were convinced that we will have to come back for a 4 or 5 day cenotes dive. We came in as strangers and left feeling like we were in the TRIBE. This is THE dive shop to visit. Signed the careless and careful diver.
