This was without a doubt the filthiest, most disgusting rental experience I've ever had. We rented through VRBO, and afterwards, they wouldn't even send us a link to rate it because there were so many things that went wrong. First of all, the bathroom fixtures were corroded and moldy. The trash can in the kitchen upon check in had trails of black liquid coming from the top of it, and hadn't been cleaned, probably ever. The refrigerator leaked, covering the kitchen floor with water the entire time we were there. The furniture in the den was so old, worn, and dirty, we put beach towels on it before we would sit on it. The wifi didn't work the entire time we were there, and the TV had several remotes with no instructions in English. The patio furniture consisted of 3 white plastic Wal mart chairs that were covered with black paint splatters. The washing machine flooded the bedroom, and 3 out of the six days we woke up with NO WATER AT ALL. No showers, no flushing the toilets. The complex is extremely noisy, with people running around screaming drunk all hours of the night. One night I woke up with someone peering through the window, because the curtains weren't big enough to cover them. I had to use beach towels to cover the gap. Not a very safe place at all. THERE IS NO BEACH, in front of this condo.it has washed away. One bathroom didn't have hot water half the time we were there. The clean water dispenser broke, and instead of replacing it, they would just put random pitchers of water in the kitchen. Needless, to say, without knowing where it came from, we didn't drink it, and had to go buy bottled water and carry it back ourselves. It is the most disgusting, poorly managed complex you can imagine. You've been warned.

Condo would of been nice if it wasn't for the remodel that was going on above our unit. Two days of constant hammering for 8 hour till 7 pm I had to tell them to stop couldn't even sit in our room. On top of that to whole beach is covered in seaweed. Very disappointing.

Beautiful condo in a great part of Playa del Carmen. We had everything we needed to cook meals and loved having the security guards there 24/7. The pool in the courtyard was refreshing after a day at the beach. Make sure to get at least one massage at the tent on the beach outside the condo. Better than any massage I've received in the US and it's on the beach, for $18!!!

We enjoyed our stay. Currently the club next door is closed so no problem with noise. Perfect place to stay for a family. We were not expecting all the amenities they included for free. Great location and always guarded by a security guard. We saved money be eating in. Our room had a well stocked kitchen with WalMart within walking distance. I would definitely stay here again.

I can't believe they are still trying to rent these condis! Do not stay at the Ocean Plaza in Playa del Carmen! We could not sleep from 11 pm to 5 p.m. The noise from the clubs were so loud it shook the windows.

Loved the view! We didn't have a problem with the music, u could hear. But if you are the person that does activities all day you come home tiered. Maybe not good for a light sleeper. Loved the place. furniture on condo 12 was modern. Ac works very good. Restrooms are good. I would stay again. The only thing I don't like is that to come in the condo. U put a code in (don't have a problem with that) the thing is the administration office walked in when they wanted. we had been out late wanted to sleep late They walked in by knocking once. And saying hello hello waking us up. We are on vacation should have our right in sleeping in. That's the only thing that I didn't like. I don't know if they thought we weren't here but I didn't like that. You can't lock the door thru the inside. So anyone that knows the code could come. The lady didn't make sense because once we came out the room she says our check out time is at 11 am and we still have 3 Moore days here. Okay! But overall if that doesn't bugg u that would be great.

Condo unit 10 has potential because of the beautiful view right out on the Gulf, but furniture is dated and there is not much of it. We covered the couch with beach towels. Cooking utensils, plates and glasses are like something from ten different garage sales. Bathrooms look good in picture but the chrome is actually worn of the fixtures and sink base. Hot water runs out before the 1st person can finish.
That was the good part, the music, no let me takes that back, it is not music coming from the night clubs on the street. It is ear deafening base booming, shakes the windows and you can feel the vibrations in the walls. No sober person could stand to be around this noise, it must cater to a drug fueled rage crowd. This goes on from around 8pm to 8am on the weekends. I would not take a free week there if they gave us one.

Beautiful building, right on the beach I couldn't believe the view!! Huge rooms and a nice pool. One problem we had We had no sleep. The hotel is in the middle of a street with several night clubs so if you enjoy sleep, DO NOT COME HERE. Having the bass and upbeat pop music waking me up in my sleep is a little like being waken up by an earthquake. The only way you'll get sleep or enjoy your stay is if 1)you too are partying and not in the hotel at night 2)you can sleep through anything 3) you are in a coma. If you enjoy sleep and not being awake all night I recommend a different hotel on a different street :)
