They charged me a little extra than the original price in USD but overall it was an ok stay, I stayed here 6 days because I was lazy to move my stuff around and is also close to djamaa elfna little few steps away

Perfect location! Literally a minute (or less) away than Jema Al-Fena. It has all the basic facilities. You can't get anything better at this price! FYI - They can arrange for an airport transfer for 6 at 200 Dirham/ 18 Euro for one-way transfer from Marrakech Airport to the hotel

Loved our stay at Hotel Cecil. Aziz and all there are very nice people. Only 5 seconds away from Jemma El Fna. We will recommend it to everyone.

Nice traditional riad with very helpful stuff, just few meters from the main square. Great view from the top terrace, shared bathrooms and simple rooms but all in all great value for price.

It's cheap. All staff very kind. But doesn't offer too much. Last time even soap or shampoo was offered.

The hotel is less than 20 meters from the Djemaa El-Fna, which is great.
The atrium and rooms are beautiful, typically moroccan (as moroccan they can get for tourists), relatively clean. Breakfast is served on the roof terrace, which gives you a good look of the city square and the surrounding area.
The only thing I didn't like was the AC unit wasn't working- and the water pressure was non existent on the third floor (I got a new room, so everything turned out ok in the end).response / report this review -

Pros: 1- location at literally few meters alley walk to Jemaa alFnaa is a big plus.
2-the staff is helpful and nice.
Cons:1- sewage smell in bathrooms make rooms less comfortable.
2- beds are not comfortable.
3-noisy Jemaa alFnaa is too close.
4- don't get surprised if the hot water finished way too soon before you have finished your shower.

Great location but be aware when you request a transport from the hotel.
They contact a local taxi driver to pick you up and on the way to hotel, the driver keeps calling somebody. Then you are dropped off at a place where it is somewhat distanced and where you have to walk through small alleys. When you get off from the taxi, a guy (who is basically on a same side with the driver) walks you to the hotel. On my way back to hotel, my cell phone was stolen.
I also should have paid attention. However, I have been here before and I know the area. The drop off location was not a usual spot and it was very fishy that the driver called someone else to walk me over to the hotel.
