Definitely has the wow factor. Beautiful room (the library suite), and hotel. Great food and service. Loved this hotel. Would love to stay again one day.

Very charming hotel in refurbished colonial building in the middle of Galle Fort. All amenities on a walking distance. Lovely garden and premium rooms. Very good food and excellent bar. Teas are magnificent from Simondou estate

Situated near the Galle Fort entrance, Church Street Central's colonial archetecture and incredible food was a great first stop for our advenutre in Galle. We got ther early and enjoyed an eggs benedict with avocado and back on a slice of perfet sour dough bread. A standard cafe late materialised into a multi layered masterpiece and my wife's choice of the Fort Gray Tea had her asking where she could buy more to take home (unfortunaley we couldn't) I'm sure we will be back later this week to experience the dinner menu.

Second to Amangalla this is the best place with its own authentic vibes. Staff were extremely nice and helpful. Special thank to Dustin their GM. Food was just excellent!

Tried to book a room for my husband and 3 year old but was advised the hotel doesn't accept children. That was later qualified to be "children under 3 years old", as per their website FAQs. When I rang back to restate that my child was 3, and therefore within the hotel rules, I was still refused a room.

This is the most idiotic hotel ever. Staff r as dumb as ever. Sheets stink. The hotel is full of cats. Disgusting environment. Never stay here. Also the pics of the pool are deceiving. It's like a mini pond. Don't be fooled by the pics.

What a fantastic experience. The General Manager welcomes everyone so warmly and every attention to detail seems to be executed perfectly. One of the best hotels I've had the pleasure to stay in.

Beautiful hotel, helpful staff and amazing sea views.
Unfortunately had to change rooms as the flowers on our bed were covered in bugs. The new room was slightly smaller than the original - it probably should have been an upgrade.response / report this review -
