Please dont forget to go in a 4x4 or double çab or a at least a van as going in cars or busses will ruin your vehicle. This I learnt the hard way. So be warned!!!
This is a transit spot on the way to Meemure. The road to meemure is very very bad with acute bends and plenty of broken roads.
Highly suggest NOT to go in long vehicles such as busses or vans with body kits and paraphernalia as you will ruin your vehicle 100% .
Cell phone reception is barely present at this Corbert gap. But thereafter the reception is almost 0%
So keep those things in mind and be prepared to the wild challenge ahead of you!!

Can get the view of the Dotalugala and the Mini Worlds End,one can travel along the road leads to Corbets Gap. This is a very famous place in Knuckles Mountain range. This is a deep vally between Knuckles Mountain range and also a rain shadow area. This area also has a mixture of vegetation types such as wet , dry and montane type. At Corbet's Gap, there is a high wind blow during some months of the year and the forest trees grown in that area has a special feature , that is stunted and gnarled.

Corbet's gap is a junction. There can reached through Theldeniya-Udispaththuwa- Thangappuwa road or Hunnasgiriya -Loolwaththa road. Thangappuwa-Corbet's gap road is very damaged. I think very difficult to reach there through that road by car or van. threewheels, bikes and offroad vehicals are good to that road.

We had a little rest there and it was indeed mesmerising. The misty surrounding and fresh wind gives a feeling that you possibly cannot explain by words
