If you are new hiking, this is a good start. You can enjoy nice views with little bit of sun and few water streams which will release your tiredness. Better to have off road vehicles as roads aren't maintained well enough. Plan your stay and hike in the same area or else you will many hours to move from place to place as no connected roads through the forest.

Amazing place. Cool weather and crystal clear water. Must visit place if you really love nature. Natural waterfalls, tea estates, mountain range and so many beautiful places to see. Better take a 4x4 vehicle if you really want to climb bit higher. Recommended for everyone

If you're lucky enough to be here when the weather is good, it must be a heavenly environment. Unfortunately, when it's tipping it down get ready to grit your teeth and check avidly for leeches.

Did a two day one night trek from Kandy (18k and 14k days one and two). Very beautiful cloud forest - we were lucky with the views, since it's often in cloud or raining. It can get pretty cold apparently. Only saw two other tourists while walking - same tour company going on other direction! Deduct stars depending on your tolerance of leeches.

A popular place for nature lovers as well as people who wants to take a break from busy life to a calm environment. You will be traveling through breathtaking landscapes while enjoying cold unpolluted wind. A highly recommended place to visit with friends or family.

Beautiful nature. Great place to escape from busy city life. But visit with responsibility. Don't damage, don't litter, don't disturb and don't carry too much baggage.

Best of the best places to feel the nature to it's fullest. The view is just breathtaking. Great way to escape from the busy lives. Preferred to visit as groups, since some of the places doesn't have mobile reception. Public transportation is a bit uncertain and slow. So private transportation is more preferred.

Good place to enjoy with family close to nature. Dothulugala hike and mini world's end is a nice experience. Road to forest department office very bad and you need good vehicle with 4 wheel drive.

Knuckles is one of Sri Lanka's best kept secrets. It's a nature reserve beyond compare considering Knuckles' natural beauty and bio diversity.
It has several access routes. Wherever you are, you will only be marvelled by what you can see and experience.
A multitude of water falls await to greet you. Foliage is magical. Climate is awesome. Bird life is abundant. Your ears will surely love the musical extravaganza - interplay of bird songs. If you are lucky you can see deer, other mammals (and even Leopard).
It is a haven for landscape photographers and bird photographers. The reserve offers ample opportunity for hikes along nature trails.
