Excellent set of waterfalls and less visited than Lovers' Leap near Nuwara Eliya. Make sure to follow the path up the left side and climb all the way to the top. We had a private taxi driver who took us up there and we were totally alone. Most drivers take people only to the falls at the bottom by the road but people who only see this part are missing out. There is a pool at the top big enough that you could swim in it and the falls are beautiful.

Beautiful place. Climbing on top is a challenge, there r steep ways n caves to go up and in. Climbing on top beautiful view. They take 50 Srilanka rupees as a entrance fee.

This is worth the 50 rupees and half hour hike. Beautiful and clean trail going up. Absolutely a must do when in the Nuwara Eliya region. Bring a swimsuit and picnic to really enjoy the environment. There is a sign indicating that swimming is dangerous but our driver told us it is allowed and we noticed many locals and foreigners taking a dip. Enjoy!

Only a short stay. To reach the falls one has to walk a distance and into and through a hotel. The hotel provides van lift from hotel to the main road.
A beautiful falls and a romantic place especially the evenings.

A lovely waterfall with like 300 meters hiking to the top. Have a nice viewpoint and can swim as well. Rs.50 ticket will have to buy for foreigners may be for locals as well

Beautiful waterfall. you have to get a ticket if u want to see the up part of the waterfall.
Tip: you can go to Chariot path from there. the road is difficult and 8-10km for the top of the Chariot Path, but will be a amazing experience.

Superb place to visit.
A nice 30 mins trekking and you get to see the Ramboda falls. Amazing view up there. A must go place to visit. It has such a peaceful feel and made me want to stay there at the fall of the waterfall pool.
Sad that bathing is prohibited.

False information !!! This is 2nd part of the water fall. This is nothing comparing to the upper part of the ramboda falls (real one). To reach there you have to take foot path about 800m (don’t remember exact distance)

Has a long hard path to reach the fall. Not everyone can make it. The area near main road is always crowded with bathing people. Don't go in a holiday. You won't like it. Toilets available. Not the cleanest. Some small restaurents. Food is not good. But great sceneries. Great experience.

Nice place foe bath. To get a good one you have to hike a bit more up. It is worth to hike. And also a view point is there at the top where you can see full view of ramboda falls from top to bottom.

This is not the famous Ramboda falls. This is also a waterfall which exisit near by the main road. To view the actual Ramboda falls you need to go off road. You can see a part of it at "OAk Ray Tea bush hotel-upstairs."

Great climb to a set of some of the best falls in Sri Lanka! Take the time to go both on the side trail for a great view of the lower falls and the upper trail to a view of the falls en toto. Well worth the sweat all around!

Nice location, access to waterfall view point through restaurant with great view. A few shops and a spa and a hotel very close to location. Highly recommend visiting.

A tourist attraction with much less crowd. You have to obtain a ticket (20 Rs per local head) to reach the viewpoint in front of the waterfall. The viewpoint itself needs a good hike of 490m elevation.

Pond beneath the waterfall is not very deep (~6ft). Surrounding is very calm and clean, and try your level best to keep it as it is.

Ramboda falls is a popular tourist attraction near Nuwara Eliya. The main fall, which sort of looks like a rats tail, can be viewed from the viewing point which is a 490 meter climb. There are stairs all the way to the viewing point so the climb isnt that difficult but it does take a bit of energy to get up. Once you reach the viewing point you have the option of trekking up the neighboring peak to get a better look at the waterfall. There isn't a defined walking path here so you'll have to do the climb the old fashioned way- through grass, thorns and lose rocks. On the way down there are a couple of side paths that lead you to the stream where you can have a refreshing cold water bath. Remember, do not pollute. Observe, enjoy and move on as if you were never there.

Quick hike up and down this waterfall is great to get your heart racing. Steps lead to a view point from where you can go off-road even higher.. the "off road" part is less tiring but more difficult cuz there are no steps but you have to crawl up, so that's the actual hike to this if you're a tough hike speaker as the rest is just climbing steps. Small sub watering holes are on to your right when you go up. Found a magical pool just about 150 m down from the view point. It's difficult to get to it but so worth it! Secluded, because not many people actually try to get there on account of the more family friendly pools at the base.. Just PERFECT. the climb up takes a little more than an hour but coming down feels faster.. please be careful to not leave anything in these places, especially plastic, cigarette butts etc because it ruins the place and makes it look like people have been here. The true magic of it is that it looks like no one has been to it, although it's pretty obvious from the path that we took, that atleast the locals do go there..
