The ideal place for those looking forward to have a extreme adventure. One of the most beautiful places I've been to. There are about 3 to 5 roads to get there, almost every one of them are equally dangerous and exciting. You get to hike almost vertically and see amazing views of the whole district. Recommended for age 13+ with high stamina.

A magnificent waterfall which will take your breath away. A small distance has to be travelled to reach the bottom of the waterfall which is not very comfortable but it is nothing compared to the view you will get when you reach the fall. One thing to keep in mind is the leeches that are trying to get to you everywhere.

Beautiful waterfall. Needs to climb about 2kms from the road.fully worth the effort. Wear good outdoor shoes as the track is slippery. Watch out for leeches.

Great creation of mother nature. Remote place well inside the jungle. Little heard to reache the place but prefect & lovely place. Please do not destroy it.

Breathtaking view up on the top. There are many beautiful places on the way to the top as well. Definitely a paradise for photography. The climb is around 2km and not that hard. You'll find stairs in some places which makes it convenient. There is a place to have a bath as well near the starting point.

Very beautiful waterfall in Sri Lanka.
People have to walk nearly 1 km from Boburuella bus route to the water fall location in a narrow foot path. This foot path is also very beautiful.
Water is less in some months of the year. Beauty of the waterfall is very high in high rainy seasons because lot of water falls in those days.
Camping in the location is prohibited.
People can climb upto the water fall starting point through a very dangerous hilly and rocky path. There is a beautiful natural water pond on top of the waterfall. Every year few deaths are occurred due to unsafe bathing in this pond. Therefore it is not recommended to bathe in this pond.
Upper river also very beautiful. There are few beautiful small waterfalls are located in upper side of this water fall. People can go to visit these waterfalls only as an adventure (there is no safe road, need to climb rocks and unsafe location).response / report this review -

One of the most beautiful waterfall in Sri Lanka. lovely place to visit. it is better to use private vehicle or otherwise public transport is also available. the environment around the waterfall and the path that led to it is polluted with waste.

You can go there up to the entrance by own vehicle. After that you have to go about 2km by walking in a hard path.
Better to go at morning. Don't go at evening as you may difficult to find the path to return due to darkness.
Don't go with kids (preferably less than 15 years) or elders who can't walk alone. (I could not go to the top fall as i went there with my kid)response / report this review -

One of the most beautiful waterfalls. The hike is easy. (Takes less than a hour to waterfall) Now camping near the waterfall is prohibited. Can take a bath safely. Leeches are in abundance. A must go place.

Nice hike to the waterfall. Great view. Better go on wkends. There's a place on the way where you can buy pol roti and plain tea. No toilet facilities. Better to go from the second entrance.
