I felt well cared for. Excellent service.
Dark, scruffy and in need of refurbishment. Food gave me stomach cramps and diarrhoea.
Authentic Japanese experience, you'll have a traditional breakfast, you'll dress kimono, enjoy tea ceremony and sleep in an original japanese ryokan.
You'll also receive some postcards and willow chopsticks as gift.
Attentive staff and great food in Gion Area.just a wonderful place
Very nice traditional-style Japanese hotel. Bath needs to be booked though.
Very authentic ryokan with a good keiseki dinner. The restroom and private family baths were good too. Our hosts were very friendly and helpful too!
The staff here are very polite and attentive, the rooms are beautiful, and the food is delicious and traditional. It's located in a great part of Kyoto to visit, and is a short walk away from the subway if you want to check out other places in the city (like the sake district).
It is a traditional Ryokan though, which means tatami + futon for sleeping on, paper doors, etc.
Definitely recommended as part of your Japan trip.
We went there during 2015 Sakura season. the room is clean and in traditional japanese style. you have the option to have traditional or western breakfast and dinner with no extra. it is a bit expensive considering the service and food quality
