I chose Washington Hotel both when I first arrived in Japan and for my last days here. For it to be so close to the airport, it's very affordable. It's super close to the station as well, which is great because I have a lot of luggage. Be sure to take advantage of the free airport transfer service as well! The staff can speak English, so it's no problem to set up.

We found that the hotel was clean and in a good location for KIX airport. The room we stayed in was very small and basic, but was fine for an overnight stay. The airport shuttle from the hotel is free and takes about 15 minutes to get to the terminal.

During a phone call, one of the attendant ensured us that their shuttle can take us to the airport about two hours earlier than the online schedule. I booked the hotel based on that assurance.

Regrettably the front desk refused to honor that promise, and they even snickered when I asked if they can do anything for us. There are no public transport available that early, and the hotel will not pay for our taxi fare, which was about 1/3 of the hotel cost.

The room itself is passable, even if it is slightly outdated.

Will not be a repeat customer. We even considered walking ten minutes to the next hotel. Alas, our luggage prevented us from doing so.

What kind of service industry is this, that they would laugh at you after they tell you that they can't fulfill their promise?

Clean, comfortable and convenient for airport. Bit of a funny smell in the non smoking room but it didn't affect our stay. Didn't have a chance to experience breakfast as we had to leave too early. Shops and things near by.

Located in close proximity to airport. Convenience store located in building. Smoking and non smoking rooms. Wasnt able to try breakfast as left early but they were complimented with hotel room card. Free Wi-Fi.
