Our room was located right next to where they prepared food for guests, so there was a lot of noise. used the bath, and the water was too hot, it was almost like an overly hot jacuzzi. room was nice, futons were nice as well.

We've spent a perfect holiday at Matsui Bekkan Hakanazashi. Perfect dinner and breakfast. Staff was very kind, the room was wonderful. We've spent a real japanese day, an experience that will remain in our hearts forever. Cristina & Carmine from Italy.

While expensive, the experience was wonderful. Staff speak limited English but are accommodating and helpful. The breakfast was lovely although set out probably at 7/730 so be careful to get there early.

Easy 10 min walk from Metro Subway station. Nearby restaurants, but good food if reserved ahead of time. Big comfortable Japanese-style suites. Warm, friendly, amazing service. Welcome gifts upon arrival and warm Goodbye. Would highly recommend and stay again!

Location is very close to Nishiki market and downtown Kyoto, which is great. The room is a traditional Japanese style room, it isn't big. The people are very friendly and speak English. Experience was great but personally I dint think it was worth paying all that money. We dint use the onsen.
